Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

Am thinking of you, Becaroodolf. xx

TwilightSurfer · 14/12/2007 19:38

Becaroodolf if you passed the sac it would be grey/white and wouldn't be as smooth looking as blood clots. It's definitely different looking...if you look. After I passed mine (at 9W6D) my body completely relaxed (oddly). Clots can come in all sizes but passing them at this stage is not a good thing but you won't know for sure until you're scanned. Couldn't you go to A&E? Forgive me, the US system's different, I'm just trying to remember what other UK MNs have done. Whatever you do, feel free to remain in typing contact for support if you need it. (((hugs)))

becaroodolf · 14/12/2007 20:04

Might ring nhs direct and see what they say

kd73 · 14/12/2007 20:05

Becaroodolf, am really sorry but it doesn't sound hopeful. I would contact your local hospital / nhs direct asap for advice and guidance today.

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

TwilightSurfer · 14/12/2007 20:06

That's worth a shot.

becaroodolf · 14/12/2007 20:57

Got an app with the out of hours doc at 9.30...will let you know what happens...I think they are worried it might be an ectopic.

I wish they had seen me earlier at the EPU!

PoinsettiaBouquets · 14/12/2007 21:10

Fingers crossed.

ChaCha · 14/12/2007 21:18

the m/s has kicked in how foolish i was to think it wouldn't come so JoanWilder i will be there with you, my kids have some sort of virus and i feel awful, need to be sick, and our takeaway is on its way [puke] why did i want it...yuk.

x

becaroodolf · 15/12/2007 09:14

Morning.

Went to docs last night which was a total waste of time...was in there for about 3 mins and he just said that as I was having pain I had probably miscarried and to keep my appointment at the EPU on tuesday.

So, no further along really. I wish I had just gone straight to A&E now.

bigboydiditandranaway · 15/12/2007 09:26

Becaroodolf, hope things go ok this weekend, that you're son will feel better as will you. (((((((hug))))))))

Try and rest when you can and i know you can think the worst in these situations but things might be ok.

TwilightSurfer · 15/12/2007 10:59

Becaroodolf I am very sorry the medical support you sought was less than compassionate. Fortunately for now you have us. I think we are all holding out that your bean is okay but it's good we can share all the facts as we know them to help you through this time.

If you did miscarry and passed all parts of the pregnancy your bleeding would be slowing at this point to AF style, spotting or end altogether. The cramping would subside as well. If you are still bleeding heavily you've probably NOT miscarried yet or at least haven't passed all the parts. It's important to make note of this. The scan on Tuesday will look for the sac. If that's not found they will measure you lining to see if it's shrinking. If your body is repairing itself naturally then you can expect to fertile again very quickly.....I conceived 17 days after my MC and I believe Fettle said she conceived 14 days later.

If a MC is what you've experienced, know MCs at this point in pregnancy are common and typically go unexplained. It's a setback, sad, and can be heartbreaking but it's not the end (if you don't want it to be.)

Fingers crossed that all is well. XX

Here's proof that MCs don't stop SUPER WOMEN!!! Pregnancy After Miscarriage

becaroodolf · 15/12/2007 11:09

TS, thank you so much for your posts....had a good cry a while ago and feel rubbish now, but its best to let the emotions out I think.

Bleeding is certainly not stopping, I can actually feel it coming out. Got cramp type pain, but not bad - have just taken some paracetamol.

All I can say is - thank god for MN and all of you for your kindness...oh god, thats set me off again....

(goes off to find some tissues...)

TwilightSurfer · 15/12/2007 11:18

Becaroodolf sounds like it's definitely not over yet. If you are soaking through several pads within an hours time you should probably return to A&E for assistance. If you can eat, do so. Something high in iron would be best as you're loosing blood (but don't panic remember I told you there's alot being made at this point in your pregnancy.) Hydration is key too. Water or sports drinks are best. Then REST REST REST. I know that's hard when you in the loo every five seconds but do try.

As scary as this is......you will be okay on the flipside of it all. {{{{{HUG}}}}}

hardygirl · 15/12/2007 18:01

Hi everyone - can I join? Have been reading threads but couldn't log on. Really touched at the amount of support and advice for everyone. I'm 36, first pregnancy (almost fainted when I saw the blue line), going to GP on Tues. EDD 14 Aug I think. I'm really tired and am really feeling the cold - but that's about it!

PoinsettiaBouquets · 15/12/2007 20:09

Hi Hardygirl, exciting isn't it? Welcome to the longest 38wks of your life! I too am feeling the cold, realised it wasn't just my inefficient house when DH got into bed last night in boxers while I had this thick woolly cardi zipped up over my nightie plus socks. I'm due 13th or 14th (confusion due to slightly shorter cycle last month) but am sticking with the earlier one because doing the schoolrun with a brand new baby sounds like a nightmare, the further away the better.

hardygirl · 15/12/2007 22:08

Thanks - Watching X-factor final wearing hubby's huge cardigan and big slippers having just demolished a huge dinner - no appetite all day then half a chicken disappeared! Doesn't seem real - won't believe it until I've seen the scan. Here goes.........

Buddhababe · 15/12/2007 22:25

Hi there

Can I join also? Just did the pregnancy test earlier today and it was positive. Should be due mid August some time if I am lucky. I also have a 14 month old DS. It's early days yet but was glad to see this thread already. Looking forward to chatting to you all over the coming months.

lewisham · 15/12/2007 22:35

Hi hardy girl and Buddhababe
Congratulations it is all so exciting am due mid Aug i think having first scan on thurs so will know more then am also v cold but no other symptoms whish slightly worries me as had nausea last week???
hope you all sleep soundly and have a lovely sunday

poppysocks · 16/12/2007 10:05

Could I join too? Think I'm due on 17th Aug and I have a nearly 22 month DD.

Trying to not to get tooooo excited at this early stage, but I just am.

Interesting that others are cold too. I am as well, but just assumed that was just me. Last pg ended in Feb so I was kept wonderfully warm by DD through that winter. Didn't realise it could go the other way at this stage.

mummypud · 16/12/2007 10:12

,morning all, well i feel sooooooooooo sick now, hope i dont feel awful over xmas, and i too am feeling very cold.xx

becaroodolf · 16/12/2007 11:04

TS....bleeding seems to have stopped/be stopping...is that a good sign?????

CaptainCaveman · 16/12/2007 12:49

Hi and welcome to Hardygirl and Buddhababe!

Glad it's not just me feeling super cold - brrrrr, can't get warm.

How are you feeling Beccaroo? Great news that bleeding is stopping!! My friend had bleeding about 5-6 weeks and was told by her gp she had miscarried. Went out and got pissed all that weekend. Found out on the mon/tues she was still pg - GP suspects it MAY have been twins and she m/c'd one of them but was never diagnosed for sure. However, her ds is now 2.4 and perfectly ok! Praying hard for you that all is well on tuesday. xxx

TwilightSurfer · 16/12/2007 14:29

Becaroodolf YES!! Do you feel physically okay? Here's hoping that's it. Make sure you keep your scan appointment. You could still be pregnant so no booze. If you're not, the scan will confirm that and you can refocus your efforts. Make note that yesterday may be your CD1, if that's the case. The TTC after Miscarriage Thread is AWESOME although I was only on it for TWENTY-EIGHT DAYS.

Remember NO MATTER WHAT there's good in everything.

Keep me posted!!!
