Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

LOL at nipple squeezing toddlers! My DS(3 in Feb) only noticed my boobs recently, thinks they're hilarious. You can see his brain working when they catch his attention, "Booboos!!!" and lunges forward to squish them. Have given up bathing with him for that reason.

TwilightSurfer · 13/12/2007 21:07

Well it's 4pm here and I believe I've missed the MS boat for today. Oddly I wish I were really really pukey. Temp still high (99.4) so the bun is obviously still in cook mode....very good.

Tantrums.........my dd is the QUEEN of tantrums. They started at 18 months and haven't stopped (she's 3.10). I've considered myself evil for wanting/having a second dc but my dream is the new dc's temperment will compliment dd's and harmony will be restored to our home.

CaptainCaveman · 13/12/2007 21:11

toot toot - hoping the ms boat has also sailed from Nottingham today, minus CC

What's the time with you TS?

CaptainCaveman · 13/12/2007 21:11

durrr. If I read your post I'd see its 4pm

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 13/12/2007 21:16

My only sympton are feeling a bit nauseous, metallic taste in mouth and very sore nips which doesn't help that I am still bf DS!!

I did a test a couple of weeks ago that was negative, then had some spotting but did another one yesterday which was positive.

I have managed to get a booking in appt at midwife for new year eve when I think I will be 8 weeks.

MollieMooma · 14/12/2007 09:58

Hi
I'd like to join you all if I can? I'm 35 and this is my first pg.

I am due 13 Aug and have my first mw appt next Thursday.

From reading lots of threads at least I now know I'm not the only paranoid one out there, worrying about all sorts!

And I'd just like to say that everyone has such good advice and is totally supportive of everyone else, I think it's great!

Oh and can anyone tell me how long the sore boobs last for - they are killing me

TwilightSurfer · 14/12/2007 11:50

Mollie,
Your boobs will stop hurting in about twenty-four months or sooner if you elect not to breastfeed. Seriously, they'll reach a point and stop growing then you'll get use to the new size and won't notice the discomfort. Sports bras are great for support...even at night. It's different for everyone.

Welcome!!!

MollieMooma · 14/12/2007 12:22

Thanks TwilightSurfer, although my heart sank at your reply!
I shouldn't really complain its taken us two years to get this far!

lewisham · 14/12/2007 12:26

Mnay congratulations Molliemooma,
I am due around 13th Aug as well. am opposite to you in the sense that my bossums are not remotely sore and makes me bit worried although am sure that is a ridiculous thing as in time... I tis my first as well and am v over excited and nervous where are you having yours?

PoinsettiaBouquets · 14/12/2007 12:57

This is really shallow but I'm kind of a bit disappointed about not vomiting this time as I lost loads of weight from it previously and could afford to lose half a stone right now. I know it'll serve me right if I start getting hyperemesis at 6wks so no sympathy please if that happens.

LadyOfWassail · 14/12/2007 13:07

Ponsettia - you are mad! I threw up loads last time, but over compensated with Kit kats - one of the only things I could keep down. Although TBH I thoght I couldnt have done with having a bout of morning sickess lastnight after a KFC
Becaroo - fingers crossed for you xxx I have had bad cramping today but it feels more like trapped wind so trying not to worry xxx

MollieMooma · 14/12/2007 13:07

Hi Lewisham
In Hospital as far as I know, although my SIL is hiring a birthing pool at home, may see how she gets on with that she's due April.
Have you any nausea? See I was worrying that I hadn't had that as I'm usually quite sicky! Silly isn't it!

JoanWilder · 14/12/2007 13:23

Hi new people...

got my booking apt 8th Jan...now to barf my was through christmas...

becaroodolf · 14/12/2007 13:28

Thanks for your posts...bleeding heavier now and have passed a few small lumps (not sure they are big enough to be called clots) and rang the EPU (as instructed by my GP) but they still wont see me til tuesday.

I just now I am losing my baby and there is not a damn thing I can do about it

Plus my ds was sick during the night last night so havent exactly had the most restful 24 hours!!!

Planning to do nothing at all this weekend

MollieMooma · 14/12/2007 13:42

Becaroodolf
Only been on here a few days, but please accept my heartfelt hug for you. Can't believe they are making you wait until Tuesday , it's so wrong, your not going to be able to think of anything else. Sorry to hear your ds is poorly too!
Put your feet up and "try" to relax

mummypud · 14/12/2007 14:26

becaROO. i dont wish to get your hopes up as i have had a miscarriage b4 my dd and my heart is with you but my last pregnancy i bled on and off for the first 12 weeks, i went to the toilet one day and there were large ish clots and i thought thtas it thats my baby. i had 3 early scans at the epu and every time all was well and i eveentually had my dd. no reason for blood was ever found. i just wish you didnt have to wait so long for a scan as the waiting is unbearable

TheApprentice · 14/12/2007 15:30

Hi all, can I join? Had BFP 3 days ago and doc says due date is Aug 14th. I am in total shock as DS was born through IVF and we were actually due to go through it again in February! Its still early days I know, but hard not to get your hopes up (am so sorry to those of you on this thread who have miscarried).

DS will be one in January, but I see that a couple of you have children even younger...chaos is going to reign.

Am having mild symptoms of cramping, mild nausea and boob soreness. Last pregnancy I had that PICA thing and ate ice constantly so I might ask for iron tablets this time!

sarahnh · 14/12/2007 16:21

Becaroo I'v got my fingers and toes crossed for you hon, try and rest as much as you can this weekend.

I cannot believe they are making you wait so long, thats so frustrating, but i am hoping that everything will be ok for you. Big hugs xxxx

lewisham · 14/12/2007 16:56

sending lots and lots of sunny vibes and thoughts to you from London Becaroo, waiting is one of the worse things and one always thinks of the worse how about just going along tomorrow to the scan place/ or your local a&e and demanding a scan that is what we pay our taxes for. I really hope and pray all goes well. x Lewisham

CaptainCaveman · 14/12/2007 17:10

Continuing to pray here for you too Becaroodolf. Can't understand why the NHS don't think peace of mind is important for a pg lady .

Right, works night out tonight, I've made my excuses and I'm driving so don't have to worry about not drinking. However, I'm not exaggerating when I say none of my clothes fit me . I'm normally a size 10/12 but just tried some 12 trousers on in Next and I look like a hippo! EEEk. Going out in 1hr and 20 mins. Will be going in my pjs if I can't find something/anything that fits. This can't be right, I'm only 5 weeks!!!

PoinsettiaBouquets · 14/12/2007 17:24

Hi new folks, welcome.

Ladyofassail - mmmm KFC tonight for me, I'm very impressionable, me.

Becaroo, can you go and stay with a friend or relative (pref childless) say Saturday night? Just to get some peace and quiet, a nice chat and get spoilt a bit.

I went to GP today, jolly young man I've not met before. Apparently we do get a 12wk scan here - I guess I didn't last time because I went to a hospital slightly out of area (local one was giving me heebejeebies at the time.) MW will be in touch with me apparently.

becaroodolf · 14/12/2007 17:57

Hello all, thank you very much for all your kind thoughts...I am very touched.

Sadly, I think I lost the baby at 4.30...LOTS of blood and some large clots (but I didnt look too closely!)

Want to cry but cant right now for some reason...worried about my ds I suppose who is not himself at all today after being ill last night.

I am still going for the scan on tuesday, obviously, but I know in my heart that its over.

lewisham · 14/12/2007 18:32

I am so sorry and send you my heartfelt sympathy and a big hug.

pertelote · 14/12/2007 18:55

Oh Becaroodolf, how grim. I'm so sorry.

mummypud · 14/12/2007 18:57

no words becaroo , but know that we are sennding all our love xx
