Hi all,

Just grabbing the opportunity to log in while DH burbs Sara. Have just completed our first week of the normal routine (DH at work, me coping with a toddler and a newborn alone during the day!).

It went okay - there's even 30 mins during the afternoon when BOTH of the kids are asleep. It's such a beautiful 30 mins sigh

Congrats to JARM and mini!

Sam - to reiterate what LOM said - my contractions disappeared when I got to the delivery suite and the MW reassured me it is common. I felt like a bit of a fraud until they started again he he.

RG - it sounds like your sweep didn't do much - probably because as you say - LO isn't ready yet. I think I had a show about 24 hours after my sweep (my memories are a bit hazy right now due to lacj of sleep).

I hope you ladies who are still preggers are still going to join us on the November postnatal thread by the way!

Loopy - I hope LO arrives when the nice MW is on duty. It makes such a difference having someone you are comfortable with. All the MWs I had were just fabulous.

LOM - if you're still with child next week then come over to mine. Although I can't promise home-made cake, or a clean house, or that I will be showered/out of my PJs...

Maybe if you arrange to come over, it will induce your labour to return the favour?

By the way - RG you seem to spend so much time in ASDA, I wouldn't be surprised if you go into labour there. In which case, you can test the theory that anyone who goes into labour in a supermarket get's their shopping free of charge. Or do you have to actually give birth in the supermarket?

Right - I'm off to feed Sara again and hope she drops off to sleep.

RGPargy · 01/12/2007 23:02

Choudru - sounds like you're getting into a lovely routine already! Well done! How's the feeding doing?

I know i spend alot of time going to Asda but I'm never actually there long enough for any substantial to happen! I normally get there, walk around for 5 minutes and then cant wait to get home again.

Had another little fresh show (rather than a brown one - sorry for TMI!) so the ball is deffo rolling. As to how long things take is another matter of course!

LOM - oooo i think i should get myself to a Take That concert!! Not sure about the name Clementine tho.....

Well, you might have guessed that nothing is happening for me this end. All the show and niggles have died down into nothing! I expected to be woken up with contractions during the night but no, i woke up this morning feeling fine and with no tummy aches at all!! I'm starting to feel really fed up now and i'm only five days overdue! What am i gonna feel like when (and if?) i'm approaching 42 weeks!!

What a miserable day it is today, weather wise. It's really windy and rainy here today! Deffo not the sort of day LO will want to make an appearance on!!

What's everyone up to today?

OP posts:

Hmmmm for some reason Jarm's dates were round the wrong way on the list. Sorry to be anal but i've adjusted them on the list for consistency. When LO arrives i will have more things to worry about rather than the intricacies of our list so make the most of anallity (if that's a word lol!!).

Rg - Sorry everything has died down for you. I feel you frustration
The mulled wine was lovely BTW. And we had alovely evening with our neighbours being geeky about bicycles - one of favoured past times I'm afraid.

Choudru - Will def be over next week. I also cannot guarentee that I will be out of my pjs.

Off to eat bacon sarnies now . Then we are off to Ilkley to feed the ducks and buy posh cakes. An overdue lady has to keep busy.

DanJARMouse · 02/12/2007 11:20

oh RGP! How annoying!!!

I feel almost guilty now for all our little bantering about who was going to pop first!

I really hope your little girl makes her appearence soon, I was gonig demented and Daniel was only 3 days late!

Cant quite believe my little man is now 3 days old, its been a LONG 3 days!

iris66 · 02/12/2007 11:32

RGPargy - nooooooooo! I was so optimistic for you Reckon we should all send you last few some serious labour vibes today

RGPargy · 02/12/2007 11:41

LOM - glad you enjoyed the mulled wine. I had half a small glass of wine myself last night. We went and ordered a pizza from the kebab shop up the road and of course it's law that we have to pop into the pub for a swifty while they do our pizza! I didn't drink all of my glass tho coz i thought stuff was gonna kick off. Wish i'd drank it all now!! Oh and enjoy your bacon buttie!! Yum!

Jarm - lol you numpty, dont feel bad! It's just the way things are isn't it! I'm just glad that you've got Daniel safe and well, that's all that matters after all!

Iris - yes PLEASE send me some labour vibes!!! I am feeling quite nervous about the pain of labour tho so i wonder if that's what's holding me up?? It's been so long i really cant remember how bad it was last time.

OP posts:
littleoldme · 02/12/2007 12:15

Rg I agree! It is the law that you have to go the pub whilst waiting for Pizza. I'm glad you went as I would hate for your Lo to be born in the big house. I hear the police take this sort of thing v seriously.

I'm beginning to get stressed out about labour too. It's not so much the pain but the thought of induction that really upsets me. I kept waking up in tears last night Stressing myself out is hardly going to make Lo want to come out now is it!!! >

On the plus side - Hope got voted off. YAY. I reckon Leon will win. Rhydian has the best voice but he's too west endy.

littleoldme · 02/12/2007 12:15

PS - If there's any labour vibes going spare please send some my way too.

RGPargy · 02/12/2007 12:27

I'm glad i'm not the only one getting stressed out about labour. I'm not worried about induction - YET - but no doubt if she keeps hanging around in my tum, that'll stress me out too. I do however have a little ace up my sleeve, should they start to whisper induction at me. When i went for my first scan, they said that LO was 5 days younger than my dates, and then sent me home and told me to come back a week later as LO was too small to do the nuchal fold scan on etc. So if what they said is right, that makes LO due today, as i'm five days over now, IYSWIM.

However LOM, there's really no point in getting stressed about induction just yet is there. It's not happening yet so dont worry til it happens, eh? You'll be getting yourself worked up over nothing. I reckon you should go to Choudru's in your PJs and eat cake. That'll make you feel better! Oh and here's some spare labour vibes

silkcushion · 02/12/2007 12:49

hello you lot - sorry yr still here.

Rg - v good idea re cinema. It dawned on me yesterday that we can't go to the cinema with a baby. Was thinking of xmas when step kids are up. we always go.

don't be stressing about labour - it doesn't hurt

and congrats to lk and hello tyler - impressed with posting so soon after delivery. mn is clearly a priority

RGPargy · 02/12/2007 13:19

Silk - I cant remember who from, but i stole the idea from someone on this thread. I think it was LOM or someone equally as organised.

AAAAGGGGHHHHH I'M SOOOOO BORED!!!!!

Gonna go and cut DP's hair now. That'll take a whole 15 minutes, yay!

Loopy - glad you've got a positive outlook on the weather! Discovered today that DS's bedroom window has leaked BADLY in the bloody rain. Think it's just a seal but still, it's not what we need this side of Xmas!

Hmmm bank balance could be bent slightly i spose....

  1. I'm not sure i like the sound of that! What does EPO actually DO?
  1. Eeewwwww!!! I think the spermfast can take a back seat until the day before induction at 55 weeks or something lol.
  1. I might look into that one. Sounds relaxing...?
  1. Is that oils and stuff? I'm terrible at remembering what's what.
  1. Possible!
  1. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Nbg - Gutted about your Take That tickets!!!

OP posts:
littleoldme · 02/12/2007 15:32

Loopy/ Rg - Yeah - I think you are probably right. The fact that I find it find stressful doesn't change the fact I need to chill out.

NBG- Gutted re your TT tickets.

I've got lots of stuff planned for next week, and if he isn't here by next weekend I'm going to book a manicure and a facial.

I'm sure seeing Choudru and her Dcs will spur my LO into some sort of action.

We've had a fab morning strolling along the river and eating yummy cakes. Time to curl up before MIL arrives with venison stew and plum crumble. YUM
