DD was really disappointed, and I think we were a little bit too. But it's starting to sink in now, and we've been discussing names.

I had my anomaly scan today - and have to go back in 2 weeks as baby wouldn’t play ball 😂 we got some lovely images of the spine (which they needed to check anyway) but then it started to do a somersault and fell asleep mid turn! I had to do start jumps, go for a walk, jiggle, lay on my side on the bed and we still couldn’t get the position that was needed! The sonographer wasn’t concerned though so that’s good :)

@Garman I was still in my normal sweats and hoodies at 17weeks, the only thing ai had to do was get some stretchy work trousers - am just over 20 now and suddenly I have more of a bump than before. Before I was able to have pass it off as a bit of extra podge lol

@Bellabubble that's great that scan went good as much as they could see, even if baby did fall asleep mid somersault 😄

On dc2 I was in maternity jeans at 7 weeks because my hips just widened ASAP, mad how different each pregnancy can be!

@Garman this is my first that has got this far - but I definitely felt like my body expanded quickly in the first 8weeks, but I thibk that’s because it was the third pregnancy in a year so my body was sort of saying “yeh yeh I know the drill!” I fet like it was sooo obvious (although I know it was just bloat and not obvious at all now 😂) but I knoy just told people at work 3 weeks ago and none of them had a clue! Yeh I’m pleased woth the scan - I still had some worries before - I don’t know if it is possible but I was still worried I’d hear “we can’t find a heartbeat” but I think it’s the forst scan I have actually enjoyed! The earlier ones in this pregnancy definitely gave me comfort and relief, but Even at 12 weeks you can’t see so much! Even though he or she wasn’t playing ball - it was nice to see all the parts of a human body so clearly (well the back half anyways lol!)

@Firevie Good luck for tomorrow scan buddy. Mine is what was my gender scan... wondering do I pretend I don't know 😂

ladies! Thanks for your messages! Just got back. All went well. He did quite a detailed scan which was great. He said everything is measuring absolutely fine and he was happy with what he saw. Strong heartbeat, brain, kidney, spinal cord, arms legs, stomach etc. All look great yay. He was moving lots.
I am so relieved! Wonder whether scanxiety will ever subside! A little wave from my baby boy to you ladies - you can see his fingers so clearly!

Hello!! Saw baby boy again today ❤️💙 we interrupted his nap today lol. He did a few waves but was all curled up clearly wanting us to stop bothering him 😂 but still measuring a week ahead 👍🏻 all measurements good, actually put me an extra day ahead 🙈 said she works for nhs hospital as well as this job and does Papp-a growth scans and has never seen any growth issues just down to that! Showed me the placenta and the cord pulsating. She was so lovely. So good to know all is ok.

@Pancakes7 yay v cute 🥰 how far along are you? I’m between 17+4 and 18weeks today. Xxx

@Firevie Have they not given you an exact due date? I'm 17 weeks and 2 days, measured 17 weeks and 3 days. (I was already out forward 6 days at dating scan) EDD 19th October

To be fair @Pancakes7 it's an estimated due date not an exact one, it's really a whole due month, can be 2 weeks either side of their estimated date.

@Garman Yes I know that but normally they give you an EDD. I was just interested to know if they had given a date range or not.

I've been given 3 different dates all a few days apart.

@Garman oh ok interesting. I was just given one date at my dating scan. They moved me 6 days forward. Same happened with DS moved forward 3 days. But had planned c section so he was 5 days early. This baby will probably be the same unless he comes earlier

@Pancakes7 @Garman my EDD based on my last period is 17th Oct but at my 12week scan they put me ahead 3 days so EDD based on 12week scan is 14th Oct. I think a margin of 3 days is fine. As they always say the baby will come when he’s ready ❤️ But my private doctor did all the measurements today and said they all looked normal and good so I’m happy and relieved about that xxx

@Firevie Oh ok that makes sense, I'm the same then. By dates I was EDD 25/10 but dating scan moved me to 19/10. Sorry I was just curious if people were given a date range or something. Just me being nosy lol. I'm glad your scan was all ok too. 💙❤️

@Firevie When's your next scan? Is it your 20 week scan? Mines 3rd June

@Pancakes7 I'm 20+3 today. My 20 week scan is on Monday when I'll be 21 weeks. Can't believe it's come round so quickly! Excited and nervous in equal measure now. X

@Firevie I'm thinking I might book a scan for 24 weeks but I'm not sure. My pgp has gotten bad (I had it last time) so I might need to save money to pay for an osteopath. Not long till your 20 week scan! Then your half way there!

@MrsTD88 Wow you're half way through!! How exciting! 💓 I feel like the first 12 weeks go so slow but after the dating scan it all goes so quickly!

@Pancakes7 I was thinking about doing 24weeks after my 20week scan but my private doctor suggested 22weeks as he would by then not have seen me for 4 weeks and tbf given how anxious I was waiting for 3 weeks this time round I think the two week intervals suit me better.
What is pgp? Sorry I’ve heard about it but don’t exactly know what it is.
Agree it goes quickly after a certain point in time. Can’t believe that in two weeks I’ll be half way there ❤️❤️ Xxx
