@Pancakes7 Have you had anymore info about low Papp-a? Or are they not concerned?

Thank you @Firevie 3 weeks is not that long, but must feel like forever. And yes, it's been 4 weeks since my dating scan, so another 4 weeks to wait until the anomaly one. The longest wait will be between my 20 and 28wk scans, so I might book a private scan for 24wks - not sure yet.

If I'm honest, I was disappointed when I thought the baby might be a boy. Is that terrible? DH and I have always imagined having two girls. I know we should be happy for a healthy baby after our losses, but I can't imagine having a son.

@Firevie My scan is the same day as yours 13th May! Only 2 weeks and 2 days 😂 I can't wait!

@marplemead I spoke to my midwife finally last night and she says she spoke to them clinic and they think that by the time I'm 28 weeks they may be able to do the growth scans and things will be more back to normal. She can't guarantee it obviously as Covid is so unpredictable. But good to know that I might get the scans. If not I'm going to book my own privately. They don't recommend I take aspirin at my trust. So my main thing is just once I feel movement to keep an eye on it.

My scan was all good too, I had a rough time of it and was in tears before the scan started but they were really sweet about it. No sign of the hemotoma so must have absorbed, and I've been bumped from an October due date by one day (1st November now!) we were in there for forever because the baby was so wriggly they couldn't get the measurements. it was really nice to see. Feel exhausted but relieved.

Fab news @vitaminb33! I love when they are all wriggly - you get to spend so much more time seeing them. Hope you can get some rest now.

@Pancakes7 🤞🏼 for the extra scans! I can't believe I had no scans after 20wks with DD, not even private ones.

Great news @marplemead & @vitaminb33 I was the same with DD I didn't have any scans after 20 weeks apart from one at about 39 weeks because of reduced movements. Thankfully all was fine! I have growth scans this time around though.

My husband and I were both hoping for another girl too. Baby is a girl which was my gut feeling. The sonographer showed me what they look for in a girl. Apparently there are two solid white lines which are the girly bits.

@marplemead same here, I didn't have any after 20 weeks with DS except one when they thought my waters might have a tiny leak but they didn't. That's when I found out he was extended breech! Lol lucky I did really!

Hi all, haven't posted in a while but have been reading along the whole time. I was too stressed waiting for my 3rd scan/dating scan which was last week.

@vitaminb33 we're due around the same days, my edd goes from October 30th-Nov 1st. My haematoma was still visible at 10 weeks but she couldn't see it at last weeks scan at nearly 13 weeks, it was a different sonographer though and not an internal scan and I don't think she was even reading my notes properly so I think it's still there. I was supposed to have another appt at 16 weeks to check haemotoma but all that's booked now is 20 week scan.

I have virtual midwife appt later today so will ask her about the haemotoma scan then, I want to get back to exercise if possible and can't do that if the haemotoma is still there so would like to know.

I told my mum after the scan last week showed healthy baby flipping around the place, still haven't told anyone else. Absolutely traumatised by the last few months and don't want to have to talk about it/explain the whole thing. And also I hate my inlaws so they can find out in November for all I care 😂 Most likely our dc will tell them eventually whenever we tell them, not for a while yet!

@marplemead I did want to have a girl too but I’m now v happy and can’t wait to meet my healthy baby boy! We will be an unbeatable mother son duo haha

Ah sorry forgot I meant to ask when do you get a 28week scan? I don’t think I have one but knowing me I’d be too impatient to not have one after 20weeks so maybe private along the way xxx

So glad your scans went well today @marplemead @vitaminb33 😊 so jealous yours were first thing this morning!
Today seems to be going surprisingly quickly for me. I couldn’t motivate myself to really start work properly until like 1030 so had a shower and washed my hair. Have lit a lavender candle to try to calm myself a bit as well.
Just feel so nervous about later! I wish there was some way of checking things were fine myself, or that I could feel something 😔

@Firevie Well done! I need to get back to doing yoga and walking. I've put on quite a bit of weight already I'm having growth scans at 28, 32 & 36 because DD's birth weight was smaller than expected. Normally there is nothing after 20wks, which I think is a shame.

@Garman so great to hear everything's going okay! That's interesting yes mine today was just the normal ultrasound so I guess not as detailed, I showed her the report from my private transvaginal one and she had a good look around but essentially said "if we can't see it on here it's not something we would be worried about" - hopefully if yours didn't mention it it's not something to be too worried about? Good idea to ask the midwife.

@marplemead yes I got home and went straight to sleep! Still have a deadline today but I'm so exhausted I don't think I'll get much done.

@MrsTD88 @Pancakes7 it is such a long gap after the 20 week scan! For my son luckily (?) they were worried something was up with my gallbladder so I had a scan for that at 33 weeks or so and the sonographer cheekily let us have a look at the baby which was very nice

@Firevie I'll be 17 weeks +2. However I got myself all anxious and booked another scan this Thursday 🙈 I just need to see baby again. DH thinks I'm crazy.

@Pancakes7 noooo you can’t leave me alone!! When was your last scan? I was debating whether to have my next scan next week instead of 2 weeks but told myself you guys have been so strong holding out 3/4 weeks that I didn’t book it. Xxx

@Firevie My last was my dating scan on 13th April. But with my results stating low Papp-a I'm more anxious so just need to see baby. With DS I just had 2 x early scans, then 12 & 20 week scan and that was it!

@Pancakes7 ah I didn’t appreciate you had your dating scan quite a while ago, so if you waited until 13May you’d be waiting 4weeks that’s quite long. Totally get it! Hope the scan on Thursday will put your mind to rest! I’ll try and pre occupy myself until 13th May haha xxx

@Firevie I'll be going on my own and it's a different place that's more local as they have more availability. They had good reviews though and give you 4d if there's time. Hopefully it'll be a clearer scan as I need a full bladder. My nhs one was so blurred as can't kept wriggling and I didn't need a full bladder.

@Firevie That should say baby* kept wriggling. Yeah keep busy and the 2 weeks will fly by. X

My DH hasn’t been to any of my scans yet so he hasn’t actually seen our little bubba yet. He will be allowed in for the 20week scan and I think it will be super emotional for him hearing our son’s heartbeat and seeing him ‘live’. Can’t wait for that. My 20week scan is on 27th May so still a while ago. First things first - wait until 13 May xxx

@Firevie DH came to my private early scan but couldn't come to the nhs scan. He is coming to our private gender scan and 20 week scan though.

@Pancakes7 yay! When is your private gender and 20week scan? Sorry I’m getting all confused with dates etc xx

@Firevie So my private gender scan is 13th May. My nhs 20 week scan is 3rd June. So many different people and dates it does get confusing! lol

@Pancakes7 ah got it! So we do still have a scan on the same day then:) and your 20week scan is literally just couple of days after mine :) xxx

@Pancakes7 mine is between 14th and 17th October. It’s my birthday on 16th Oct so I’m super excited. This will be the bestest birthday EVER ♥️♥️♥️
