@vitaminb33Haha, that’s nice I suppose so it lasts longer 😁 I’ve a really bad habit of binging shows and then I won’t watch the last episode for months and months because I don’t want it to end 😂😂
Yeah I think that doesn’t sound right, so I would def give them a ring tomorrow to see where it is to make sure they’ve got your details. For this pregnancy I got mine 2 weeks before, but for my MMC pregnancy I only got 5 days notice. However my dates were really off due to irregular periods and my booking appointment would have been considered to be quite late going by my LMP, as it was only two weeks before my ‘12 week’ scan.

Smurf123 · 15/04/2021 07:30

@vitaminb33 hope your doing OK. I got notice of my 12 week scan early enough this time but it wasn't actually until 13+1 weeks.. Hope you hear soon!

I'm 24 weeks today.. Baby is now viable (obviously I hope she stays put for a good while longer!) but it's another milestone.. Now to count down to next appt at 25+5

smarty4 · 15/04/2021 07:47

That's wonderful @Pancakes7 and a lovely photo! Hope you can breathe a little bit more now.

vitaminb33 · 15/04/2021 14:24

Thanks @PumpkinEverything and @Smurf123 I contacted my midwife and before she could respond my appointment letter arrived - it's for the 27th, so fairly late at 13+2 but that's okay. Just relieved to get it 😅

@Smurf123 when I was pregnant with my son I remember the biggest turning point for my anxiety was hitting viability - I'm not sure why but I just found it so reassuring!

Strawberry08 · 15/04/2021 15:01

Sorry all, been a bit quiet but have been keeping track of everyone’s posts. Congrats to all those with great scans!
I had my 12 week scan earlier and all is great and measuring 13+1 but as it’s not over 5 days more than my LMP date they are keeping my due date as 24th October.
I also had my harmony results back as low risk. So surreal to be 13 weeks pregnant and everything looks great. We also found out we are having a little boy which we were told as part of our harmony test. It’s good we new as it was blatantly obvious at the scan haha the sonographer said, I wasn’t going to say anything but since you know already, yes it is definitely a boy!

Scan picture attached, not great because little one was very wriggly!

Firevie · 15/04/2021 15:55

@Strawberry08 awww yay to your great news!!! I am also having a boy and found out as part of my harmony results! I am 14weeks today so officially 2nd trimester. I still can’t believe it! I am over the moon! Just wish it continues to be this way. I have another private scan on Monday xxx

Strawberry08 · 15/04/2021 16:07

@Firevie congratulations!! It’s so amazing isn’t it. I do sort of feel like all the excitement is done now and it’s just a waiting game!
And so lovely you are having a little boy too. It’s taken me some time to get used to the idea as I always imagined myself with a girl but super excited to have a boy!
I think I will do a similar thing to you and book a private 16 week scan to bridge the gap between now and the 20 week x

Firevie · 15/04/2021 16:19

@Strawberry08 completely agree! I always thought of having a girl first but I’m super happy my baby boy is healthy that’s all that matters at the end of the day.

My scan on Monday will be 14+4. I don’t have anything after until the 20week scan with the nhs but May do another one at 17 weeks. Will see xxx

Strawberry08 · 15/04/2021 16:22

@Firevie I honestly think you’re doing the right thing. It’s much better to get more scans to help you stay calm and happy than to not get them and be anxious. I will likely do the same!

imisscoffee · 15/04/2021 17:14

Great news @Strawberry08! I'm jealous of all the early gender news, I can't wait to find out what I'm having. My 16 week scan appointment came through this morning when and I'll be 16+4, so I'm hoping we'll be able to find out then. If not, I know I'll end up booking a private one a week later. Most people at work didn't find out what they were having and were really surprised I wanted to, especially seeing as it's not my first. I've always wanted to know asap, I like to plan and get the name sorted.

Strawberry08 · 15/04/2021 19:27

@imisscoffee ah I am totally the same as you. I like to get the idea straight in my head, be able to plan name etc. I know a lot of people like the surprise but I definitely wanted to know. I’m sure they will tell you at your 16 week scan, fingers crossed!

lamby12 · 15/04/2021 20:12

Sounds like there's lots of scans coming up it's so exciting! I feel like I've a long way to go, 9 weeks tomorrow and you ladies who are past 12 weeks seem so far ahead but in perspective it's not that long is it!

I've been really poorly with sickness the last few days and been in bed quite a lot but just feeling a little better today, thankfully that was just a bad few days for me as I can't imagine being on and off like that until 12 weeks. I'm still not on anything more exotic than toast but feeling a little more human.

I got a call from the hospital with all my dates for booking in, bloods and dating scan. My dating scan is 11th May where I'll be 12+4 so I'm already working out how many days to count down. I can't believe it's only 3 weeks since my 6 week scan it feels like 3 yearssssss.

MrsTD88 · 15/04/2021 20:15

@Strawberry08 amazing news, congratulations 💙

We have a private gender scan booked for next Saturday, so excited. Our daughter was a surprise but she is so keen to know if she's having a brother or sister and we just couldn't say no to her 💕

MrsTD88 · 16/04/2021 11:32

Ah just back from my 16 week appointment and got to hear the heartbeat 🎀💙 so happy as she wasn't sure if it would be too early, could hear baby kicking away too!

NatJ24 · 16/04/2021 11:40

Hi everyone! I completely missed this new thread and the tag! Found it yesterday and I have quickly scrolled through everyone's messages and updates. So happy to see all of the postive news and scans! Congratulations to everyone who's had their scans recently.
I'm 7+4 now. I havent booked any early scans and my booking appointment isnt until 6th May so still a bit of waiting for me!
I've been feeling slightly nausea on and off, worse of an evening and I have been SO tired!!!!
Glad everyone is going ok 😁

ELMcg · 16/04/2021 11:48

Hey @NatJ24 I had wondered where you had gotten to! Hope you are doing well!

I'm same as you really symptoms wise although the 3am toilet trips have started 😂. Like a zombie today!

I'm also eating like a small child as have no appetite for normal food!

Got my booking appointment on Wednesday so feel like that will be a milestone as hopefully I will get my scan date not too long after that.

NatJ24 · 16/04/2021 12:02

@ELMcg I must have missed the tag completely and then didn't realise there was a new thread 🙈
I'm glad you're doing ok 😁
My nausea definitely isn't as bad as last time up to now. From what I remember I had really bad sickness from about 6 weeks which just got worse right up to the 8 week mark. When I had the MMC they measured up to 8+6 and I think it was around when the nausea and sickness had started to stop but it was quite drastic because it had been so bad to then nearly gone! Where as this time I feel like its more up and down, more nausea and no sickness this time and worse of a night. But I dont remember being this tired last time 😂
My booking appointment is still a while away. I did a self referral online a week and a half a go but hadn't heard anything so I rang them on Wednesday and they said they hadn't had anything through from my self referral, so she booked it for me for 6th May. I think thats why its later because of that delay. It will be good for you to have yours on Wednesday because then you should hopefully get your scan date!
Are you waiting for the dating scan and not having an early private one? I kept on changing my mind but have decided on not having a private one.

Bellabubble · 16/04/2021 13:20

@Firevie I didn’t have a scan this time, just a midwife appointment :) She didn’t do too much, no bloods, just urine and check of the heartbeat (which was lovely to hear after she couldn’t find it at first!!) My 20week/anomaly scan is May 12th :) having heard the heartbeat and heading back to work next week, I feel like I can manage until that scan now hopefully :)

Cafeaulait27 · 16/04/2021 13:23

Hi guys happy Friday!

Just got the NIPT call and we were told the results are low chance 1 in 100,000 for all 3 trisomies.

100,000 is the lowest chance for the SAFE test so we’re super happy!

I’m 14+2 today, amazed to have made it this far.

Can’t wait to hopefully find out the sex at our 16’week private scan xx

ELMcg · 16/04/2021 18:15

@NatJ24 interestingly I feel like my sickness isn't as bad, it started earlier this time but last time I was floored at 7 weeks and feel like I am surviving this time! Strange how it can be different.

Yes I'm just waiting for my 12 week scan. I don't think a private scan would do anything to help me relax as I would have to have one a week to help and that's too expensive 😂. Just going to wait it out for the 12 week one. Hopefully it's good news as I'm off for a week at 13 weeks and will finally be seeing some family in person so would be lovely to tell them good news! I haven't seen my brother since last July due to restrictions so would be a bonus to tell him in person!

I'm feeling calm enough for now but I have to say when I have a day where I feel OK I think, has something happened?

lamby12 · 17/04/2021 08:10

Hi you ladies that are a bit further on, when did your sickness ease??? If it has!

Sorry this is just my latest thing to be anxious about, but after being nauseous at some point every day for about a fortnight since yesterday I feel totally fine. I am worried my symptoms have disappeared. DH says I'm being stupid and I should be overjoyed the sickness has gone.

I'm 9 weeks + 1 day... panicking because I don't feel pregnant now. Gosh I wasn't like this in my first pregnancy (before miscarriages) I just got on with it!!

MrsTD88 · 17/04/2021 09:04

@lamby12 I'm 16+4 now. Around 9-10 weeks my nausea completely disappeared, it came back with a vengeance after that and I still feel ropey most days. I woke up this morning feeling so rough, felt like a hangover!

MrsTD88 · 17/04/2021 09:05
  • actually 16+5 oops 🤣
vitaminb33 · 17/04/2021 09:09

@lamby12 nearly 12 weeks now and my nausea has definitely eased, but it's also always been sporadic (so one or two days where it's a lot better/gone and then it gets worse again). I know it's completely impossible but I would try enjoy the lack of nausea if you can 😅

lamby12 · 17/04/2021 09:10

Thanks @MrsTD88 sorry you're still feeling rough now! That must be difficult.

So I'll probably get it back in a few days and be kicking myself for wasting the nausea free days worrying. It's just so difficult after previous losses to relax at any time isn't it.

The sickness reassures me in a way as I 'feel' pregnant when I have it. Even though I know that can be misleading too. X
