@Pancakes7 it might be worth double checking when you get there. I'm in NI and we are still pretty much in lockdown but our hospital has changed recently so partner can come to booking scan and anomaly scan but they have to stay outside the building until you are called in and can then come and join you..
I was surprised at my 20 week scan a couple of weeks ago as I though dh wouldn't be allowed in but he had come over in car anyway and then when I asked they said he could once I was called.

vitaminb33 · 13/04/2021 13:27

@lamby12 @MrsTD88 I'm in the same position! Had my son in a hospital a little further out so having my hospital care in that area and my midwife care locally, the system's in flux at the moment so it's all a bit of a mess transferring notes between the two (I had to drive to the midwife to pick up my notes and then hand deliver them to the hospital, who were very confused)

MrsTD88 · 13/04/2021 13:28

Not long to go now @Pancakes7 good luck! X

Pancakes7 · 13/04/2021 13:33

@vitaminb33 & @Smurf123 I follow them on Facebook and not allowed still. They just announced that they can come to 20 week scans only but we both need covid swabs 2 days before and then isolate till the scan. It's ok we've accepted it. I just feel so anxious it's be nice to have a hand hold. But I'll be ok. I just hope it's good news.

@vitaminb33 that sounds really annoying having to do that! Youd think they would have a process in place. Last time around I just had to take my notes to every appointment and then they handed them back to me. This time it is all online which is a great help as I can just leave straight after my appointment and they update my info on the system.

Had my dating scan!! Wriggly troublesome baby ❤️ I’ve jumped forward a week! I’m actually 13 weeks! I thought I was 12 weeks +1. New due date is 19th October. ❤️ So happy!

Awww @pancakes7 lovely scan picture! ❤️

So glad everything went well for you, hopefully you feel you can relax a bit now knowing you are past the biggest milestone!

MrsTD88 · 13/04/2021 16:33

So happy for you @Pancakes7

ELMcg · 13/04/2021 16:38

@lamby12 lovely news about your scan! I have my booking appointment next week so I get referred for my scan then!

Yes thankfully I work at home! I adopted a few new tactics today if anyone is feeling grey and needs excuses. Had my camera off in one meeting and said my internet was bad 😂. Used the non existent doorbell as another excuse! Honestly I feel like people probably have no idea but will catch on soon. My boss who has no tact whatsoever basically in not so many words keeps asking if I'm pregnant, she knows about my previous loss so is obviously expecting it soon but it makes me so uncomfortable!

Also v interesting the different local areas have different rules. I'm in Scotland and my husband has been allowed in for everything, including midwife appointments if he wanted to come. The scan he just walked in and waited with me last time so I expect the same this time. I feel for you ladies who can't have someone there 😭

imisscoffee · 13/04/2021 16:56

Brilliant scan news @Pancakes7 and @lamby12! Hope you can both breathe a little now.

Told everyone at work today, via a teams meeting so felt a bit weird but glad it's out in the open now, especially seeing as my bump is ridiculously big 😂

vitaminb33 · 13/04/2021 17:45

Aw that's so lovely, huge congratulations @Pancakes7! ❤️🎉🎊

Firevie · 13/04/2021 17:52

Huge congratulations @Pancakes7
Enjoy this moment ❤️❤️

lamby12 · 13/04/2021 17:54

Fantastic news @Pancakes7 and how lovely to have a week boosted on as well!

I ended up taking the day off sick as I'm so feeling poorly, deathly pale, nausea, freezing... like a bug but I'm pretty sure it's no bug, just pregnancy. Hurry up the next few weeks!

Cafeaulait27 · 13/04/2021 17:55

Great news @Pancakes7!!! Xxx

Florence15 · 13/04/2021 18:37

Pancakes7 · 13/04/2021 19:23

Thank you everyone ❤️ I'm so happy. Just waiting for the letter now. Then we can tell people. Still can't believe I'm a week ahead. Feeling really now.

Hi ladies. Just got my nhs combined screening letter through. Says all low risk as per my harmony test. No idea what the beta HCG and PaPP results mean but I’ll ask my private doctor on Monday and given nhs letter says all low risk I will take comfort from that. Hope you’re all well xxx

Bellabubble · 14/04/2021 14:55

I had my 16week midwife appointment today - al good! Didn’t have bloods taken but they wanted another urine sample. Got to hear the heartbeat too - although it took her a while to find - she kept getting mine from the placenta at first! Next is my anomaly scan 4 weeks from today!

I can’t remember if it was this thread - or the ttc thread - but were there a few of us on here who had watched superstore? Season 6 starts on Monday on itv2 🙌🏻 I think they are showing one each night at 7:30 (then multiple re-runs!) I can’t wait lol!

Hope everyone is well - I’m so pleased your scan went well @Pancakes7 :)

Bellabubble · 14/04/2021 15:12

@Firevie the papp-a is a protien made in the placenta, my midwife said they screen everyone for it as low levels can put you at higher chance of low birth weight, pre-eclampsia etc, she told me low is less than 0.4 MoM, not sure on the beta hcg though!

PumpkinEverything · 14/04/2021 15:23

A few of us have watched superstore here I think @Bellabubble 😁 I remember it being discussed in maybe the first thread. We just finished season 5 last week and looking forward to watching the new season. Started watching schitts creek again as our funny tv show 😂

@imisscoffee that’s so nice you got to tell people in work! I feel like I have no idea what to say or how to say it whenever I do haha.

Firevie · 14/04/2021 15:43

@Bellabubble glad your scan went well. Did you find out the gender?
Thanks for info on PAPP mine is 0.8 MoM so should be fine xxx

vitaminb33 · 14/04/2021 21:52

@Bellabubble @PumpkinEverything wow I didn't realise season 6 was coming out! We've been watching an episode every evening and we're still only season 3 I think, love knowing we won't run out soon!

I'm still struggling a little bit with being 11 weeks (same stage as my MMC happened) haven't been sleeping well and been having nightmares. Just trying to grit my teeth and get through this week and hopefully the anxiety will ease again

PumpkinEverything · 14/04/2021 21:57

Jealous you manage only an episode an evening @vitaminb33 we are terrible for binging maybe 6/7 episodes at a time of tv shows 🙈
It seems to be the worst once you get to that stage of your MMC, but you’re almost there 😊 I always find that once you get to the weekend time speeds up a little bit if you’re off work. So if you just think that you’ve only got tomorrow, and then Friday is the last working day, then the weekend, and then it’s next week already! when do you have your 12 week scan?

vitaminb33 · 14/04/2021 22:22

Ahaha it's reliant on my partner! I binge everything but the things we watch jointly we get through very slowly 😅

Yes that's a nice way of looking at it, the weekend definitely goes fastest. I still don't have my scan date! It's a bit strange at nearly 12 weeks isn't it? I might ring my midwife tomorrow to ask about it
