wow congrats Silk and Chris!!

Lovely name BTW (one of my DDs is called Megan )

berrybliss · 08/11/2007 03:03

Wow congratulations silk!!!

Pixiefish · 08/11/2007 03:26

congrats Silk.

rg- yup i think i have the baby blues, hopefully it'll pass quickly- hormones all over the place.

berrybliss · 08/11/2007 07:53

Gald to hear that i'm not the only crazy emotional pregnant woman(not for long)

My waters started leaking at around 3 in the morning!! Just been to the hospital to have everything checked as no contractions, but hopefully they'll kick in, in their own time and i'll go into natural labour. If not i've got an induction date for Sunday at 1pm. But i really want it all to kick off before, as i'll have to be monitored throughout labour if i'm induced, so not very active.

So please can everyone send me contraction vibes and fingers crossed i'll be a mummy sooner rather than later!!!

Pixiefish · 08/11/2007 07:55

don't worry too much about being induced. you can still be active-ish. you can move around so long as you're near the monitor and the drip and also stay upright which is the important bit

RGPargy · 08/11/2007 08:06

ooooo Congrats to Silk and Chris on lovely Megan!!!!!!

Pixie - Big hugs to you. Cant offer any advice on getting them to pass quickly as it's been way too long for me to remember having them way back when. Just remember tho that you have a beautiful daughter and all your months of waiting are finally over and you can sniff and stalk your own baby to your heart's content.

Berry - You lucky lucky thing!!! Sending you massive contraction vibes (not for massive contractions, but just rather large vibes). In my experience, when i had DS my waters started leaking at 9am and by 10pm i was in active labour and then by 3.33am he was born so there is deffo hope for you having this baby very soon!! Good luck!!!

I keep having the most weird dreams!! Last night i dreamt that i had to go to London to do a gig with an old friend of mine but then when i went to the toilet and removed my tampax (!!!) i had a massive show!! So i had to tell the guy i couldn't do the gig after all. Then i met up with DP, who was excited as he'd just bought a big new land rover (he told me this morning that that really WOULD have been a nightmare!) and then i realised i'd left my handbag, his wallet and everything else in the loo! Oh and then i realised that i'd left my record bag in the pub too - every DJ's worst nightmare!!! So i still didn't have the baby in my dream! I think i'm just becoming rather impatient now.

I just seem to be sleeping terribly and waking up during the night thinking " is this it?!!" but alas, it just doesn't happen......

How is everyone this morning? I'm really excited as we're waiting for our massive 40" flat screen TV to be delivered!! Yay!!!!

YAY Silk!!! COngrats on your baby girl!

The girls have overtaken the boys now! Come on girls - we need to even it up a bit!!! (Can you tell Im having a boy?!)

Housework day today, really not up to much else. Feeling so tired - not sleeping at all well at the moment, and DH was snoring all night, he's got a cold (manflu anyone?!) and the DD's have got it too so im surrounded by snot and grumpiness!

RGP - glad im not the only one waking up and thinking "is this it" but for it to come to nothing..... my patience is wearing thin now!

RGPargy · 08/11/2007 09:14

Jarm - i'm getting soooo impatient!!!!!

OP posts:
littleoldme · 08/11/2007 09:18

Big congrats to family Silk

FCH - Sounds like you a right eejit . I'm dead impressed with the way you stuck up for yourself though. You go girl Hope you enjoyed your fish pie.

Jarm - I hope you are feeling happier today. I feel quite low and emotional this morning. If you still feel pants come over and I'll light a fire, make hot choc and we can watch loads of DVDs.
Just read your post too Pixie hugs . Why don't you all come over.
Rg - Bring your new telly.

TMI warning!!!!!! My stomach is all over the shop and I'm also feeling quite sick. I've got little appeteite and I'm not sure what to do with myself. Anyone else or is it just me?

fiona76 · 08/11/2007 09:27

I've also been feeling sick. I went out for dinner last night- japanese. Came home and went to bed but couldn't really sleep and about 1am sat up with terrible heartburn and then was sick in my bedroom rubbish bin (sorry if TMI) I felt completely rotten. I just had breakfast and feel sick again now Just want my baby now. Also DH has been working round the clock so haven't seen much of him and misss him lots.

On a happier note well done silk congrates on your lovely baby girl. Good luck berry!!

Can I come round for DVDs and hot choc as wel?? Sounds nice.

I have my last antenatal class today so hopefully that will be worth leaving the house for. I might just come home and go to bed after.

littleoldme · 08/11/2007 09:36

Fiona - Of course you can. Everyone is invited. Hope you feel better this morning.

capecodder · 08/11/2007 09:38

Congratulations to Silk & Chris! Wow- delivering on your due date- impressive. Can't wait to see pictures.

Pixie/JARM- Sorry that you not feeling your best. Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today.

Berry- Very pleased to hear that you had such a successful move so late in your pregnancy- such a Huge undertaking- great to know that DP was such a wonderful help.

Choc- Thanks for the sweep explanation- I will be waiting to hear if it worked for you!

FCH- I too, was very irriated when reading about your Dr appt. What a total pratt who sounds like he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. I was really sorry to hear about it but am happy to know that you stood your ground.

I have a MW appt. at 4 today and they're usually quite uneventful- especially as I've seen 6 different ones throughout my pregnancy due to staffing issues, sickness, leave- etc- so don't really have a rapport with any of them. So I do feel a bit that they go through the basics and then kick me out. But I guess that's better than them finding anything wrong.

RGPargy · 08/11/2007 09:50

LOM - that invite sounds lush. I'm on my way, telly and all!

I've been feeling a bit sick lately too. My appetite seems to have gone small again and i'm quite happy to sit and nibble rather than have big meals.

I really need to do the washing up from yesterday but i cant be bothered at the mo. I need also to go to Asda but will have to wait til DS is out of bed coz i dont want to miss the TV delivery guy. Need to do so much around the house, but am seriously lacking in enthusiasm. Erk!

Just got a text from Choudru. She's asked me to pass on that last night she gave birth to a healthy little girl. She's 7 pounds 4 and arrived by vbac.

RGPargy · 08/11/2007 10:36

Oh yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Choudru!!!!!!!!!

AAAAGHGGHHHHHH!!!! I WANT MY BABY NOW!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
iris66 · 08/11/2007 10:36

ooh just logged on and there are new babies!! congratulations silkcushion and choudru!!! more gorgeous girlies for our boys to adore

sorry the rest of you seem to be on a low today calm before the storm?/the only way is up? (or down, for the LOs )

I've only just dragged myself up and about. DH has taken DS to creche so Elliot and I are slobbing about in the tip that once resembled a house I need to go into town and I've a haircut booked for this afternoon but utter "can'tbearsedness" seems to rule today

RGPargy · 08/11/2007 10:38

lol Iris. I think lots of us have the "cantbearsedness" bug today!! How is little Elliot and where's our pics for stalking purposes?!!!!!

OP posts:
iris66 · 08/11/2007 10:43

hiya hun Elliot is an eating and pooing facility (and I'm so in luuuurve) Got a couple of pix on an old camera last night so I'll go find the leads to upload now.

iris66 · 08/11/2007 11:15

I managed to add a picture of each DS at 2 weeks old (bit of a spot the difference!!!)

RGPargy · 08/11/2007 11:16

ooo great stuff!! Glad you are getting on well! Cant wait to stalk see him!

RGPargy · 08/11/2007 11:17

OP posts:
berrybliss · 08/11/2007 11:29

CONGRATULATIONS CHOUDRU!!!

Thanks for the good vibe ladies! Still no contractions Just the very strange feeling like im weeing myself! But i'm off to bake bread and tidy and do a general clean of the house, but i can sypathise on the "cantbearsedness". Just feel like i need to do stuff, even though i know it can wait.

Littleoldme- I've had an upset stomach for about a week and seem to be on the loo all the time but aperantly its a good sign that your bowels are clearing and making room for baby!

Fiona- I hope you start to feel better soon.

RG- Hopefully i will progress well, its good to hear first hand that its possible! (If you see what i mean)

berrybliss · 08/11/2007 11:32
  • APPARENTLY
RGPargy · 08/11/2007 11:34

Berry - i remember what that feels like lol. It took a couple of hours for mild contractions to kick in and even then they were very mild, just like faint period pains and it wasn't until much later in the day that they got stronger. Hang in there and keep wearing the pads!!
