Anna - sounds like your darling Amelia has read the books for you (she is utterly gorgeous isn't she - and I'm sure your mum's loving her )((hug))

Did I hear someone speak of a topless Gordon Ramsay??? (((((swoooon)))))

LittleOldMe - I thought you'd had your baby already?!! good luck for an imminent labour then

JARM - Fingers crossed you don't get the "falling out through your fanjo" feeling afterwards too

Pelvice floors ladies please!! (if there's nothing else I can do its warn of the perils of falling through your fanjo )

Consultant appointment tomorrow morning, getting nervous, but know it can't carry on like this. What if they say I must change to formula? I don't want to give up breastfeeding and DH doesn't want Callum on formula either as he knows that BM is the best thing for him..

Evening everyone.

Nothing to report in Camp RG today. Just getting really impatient now and not sleeping very well. I keep waking up and thinking "is this it?" but alas, it never is lol.

Hope everyone is well and keeping their feet up!

Sparkly - good luck for tomorrow morning xx

JARM · 20/11/2007 07:42

Good luck today sparkly, try and stand your ground if you can xxx

Not sleeping here either - was awake pretty much all night, loads of pains and very uncomfortable. Closest I got was every 15 mins for about 2.5hrs so obviously wasnt to be. I know if I had got up it would probably have gone on longer, but I had it in my head that if it was time i wouldnt be able to lie in bed!

TMI - but I also thought it was the start of something after having a very dodgy tummy yesterday, its usually a sign things are kicking off, but alas, this boy is intent on making me suffer!

Hope everyone else is ok, thinking of you all x

littleoldme · 20/11/2007 08:30

Iris - I wish I had I have been doing some scary stalking on the PN thread though.

Loopy - I'm feeling much better about it all now. The only way I'm going to be induced if the baby is shown to be in danger. I'm glad I've done my stressing and investigating now so that I'm well armed and relaxed if the time comes.

Sparkly - Good luck for today.

Jarm - I've had dodgy tummy too. Sainsbury's had an offer on pineapples. Instead of inducing labour they just caused 'digestive discomfort'

sarahloumadam · 20/11/2007 09:09

I've had several bouts of "digestive discomfort" (so polite LOM!) but no action stations. Due today! What time do you think I should book into the MLU? Poor DH seems to under the illusion that the LO will pop out some time in the next 24 hours. Love, love, love my bump but wish I could just pop it off for an hour so that I could walk about and not be asked "when is it due" etc etc

New midwife came yesterday and decided I had high BP and protein in my wee and started talking about going into the day assessment unit - eek! But then I asked (and I really felt v.silly asking this) did it make a difference which arm they took your BP on cos usually do my left arm and did my right arm and it turns out that it does make a difference and my BP was fine. Then I offered to do another wee sample and that was fine too! Was relieved but bit that nearly ended up in hospital cos of random readings. DH argues that better safe than sorry but I just feel you have to be so assertive if you don't want loads of medical intervention. Go LOM and Loopy! I'll be joining you on the 42 week picket line!

Enough ranting for one day I think! Lots of tired girls on here today. Take it easy x

ara · 20/11/2007 09:27

Hello everyone! I dropped off the face of the planet for the last 8 wks due to moving and renovating our new house so am still without access to the net- argh! LO still 'in' but had a show on saturday so maybe not long to go! Am writing from my mobile

ara · 20/11/2007 09:31

So not much space! Can't wait to log back on properly and read everyone's news, i am missing it especially as we've moved now. Have had to fight tooth and nail for a home birth but have been successful and have all the kit here now. Due on saturday and

ara · 20/11/2007 09:33

cannot wait to see the baby now! Love to everyone and looking forward to being back soon! X

littleoldme · 20/11/2007 10:28

Anally retentive warning * I've just filed away all the loose bits of paper in the house. I feel so satisified at not having piles of paper work lying about that I might celebrate with donuts

JARM · 20/11/2007 10:32

LOM - I dont blame you! We are clearing up and sorting out here too, put a load of stuff on freecycle yesterday just to try and clear out!

Im feeling rather sick, so think i need to go and get something to eat..... now shall i go for Jelly Babies or Salt and Vinegar crisps?! These blooming cravings are doing NOTHING for my waistline!

Love the term "Digestive Discomfort"!!! Has made me giggle!

Minicooper · 20/11/2007 10:39

Didn't make it on here yesterday, but so sorry to hear your news, Anna. What a shock - and especially when you're so far from home. Thinking of you.

I'll join you ladies with 'digestive discomfort' - had curry last night - big mistake - I lay in bed most of the night wondering if things were finally starting, but no, just the revenge of the microwave meal. Grrr - suspect I've still got a way to go - I so want this baby in November rather than December - December is exciting enough already!

silkcushion · 20/11/2007 11:14

Anna - so sorry to hear about yr mum. my thoughts are ith you and yr family

RGPargy · 20/11/2007 12:20

Afternoon everyone

Jarm - sorry things weren't kicking off for you afterall. Another sign that i'm having my LO before you, perhaps? I would have gone for the S&V crisps.

LOM - eeewww @ pineapples. Apparently you have to eat for them to have any effect on bringing on labour. LOL @ digestive discomfort. I like that saying! You saying about donuts, i've been having a craving for them alot lately but have never actually got round to getting any. Think i might have to sort that out today!! It's driving me NUTS thinking about eating those lovely sugary jammy filled goobuns and i've not actually HAD any yet!! What's wrong with me?!!

Sarah - Happy Due Date!! It would be lovely to just pop the bump off now and then wouldn't it! I love mine too but sometimes i'm in a hurry to put my socks and trainers on and my bump slows me right down as i try and find all sorts of different angles to actually REACH my feet!! at nearly going into hospital tho!! That couldn't have done you any favours on the worry front!

Ara - Hope your move went ok and that's true MN addiction to be posting from your mobile! Go girl!

Mini - Sorry you also had digestive discomfort from your micro-curry.

Right, i'm off to reinstall Windows on my laptop - wish me luck!! gulp

Ara - well done on posting from your mobile. I wouldn't have clue [ dumb blonde emoticon]

Jarm S and v crisps are good. I like the ones made out of dead processed potato, like Discos or chip sticks.

Loopy - Sounds like they are expecting you to move or something

Rg - I'm off to get donuts in a sec so I'll send you some.

Mini - Hope the digestion is improving.

Dilemma - do I go to Greggs and geta couple of custard ones , c'os let's face it - they are best; or do I go to supermarket and get jam ones instead c'os they only sell them in bags of 10. Think I'll go with option 2 on the grounds that if I buy them I'll be morally obliged to eat them ALL

I did go for the crisps - all 4 packets in one go

My fave are Squares at the moment, but am very partial to Discos or French Fries! All has to be in S&V flavour though!

Am sitting here starving actually, with DH watching over my bloody shoulder so will tell him to pop off and be a good boy and get me something to eat! Now theres a dear!

A friend of mine has gone in for induction today, she was due last week, but they were worried about the amniotic fluid levels so have decided today is induction day.... not heard anything yet, but am thinking of her. Its her first and she is a little scared of being a mummy let alone anything else that goes with having a baby! Will let you know if I hear anything, but saying that, I was induced with DD1 and it took 2 days before I had my baby so could be a while yet!

RGP - Im going to resign myself to the fact this baby will not appear before yours... Im actually getting a little down in the dumps about it all, but really I have no right as not due til Monday anyway!

OOOOOOH, did I tell you guys that the lazy arse cousin got the job at mcdonalds?! Well, I would have been worried if he didnt, but he starts tomorrow - about time really, he's been down here 6mnths, admittedly doesnt have a braincell present in his brain at all, but even so - 6mnths of doing jack all and finally once I get my hands on him, he has a job!

littleoldme · 20/11/2007 17:10

I went for pringles, 5 jam donuts and some choc crispy things. mmmmmm. DH is playing footie tonight so i've told him that his donut allocation is dependant on how many goals he scores. I like the idea of performance related donuts.

Jarm - Squares are scrummy. I'd forgotten about them. Good on yer cousin getting the job . Hope he gets on OK.

RGPargy · 20/11/2007 19:04

Loopy - I'm hoping to avoid induction too because i told my mw that i would be in serious hell if i had to go into hospital to have the baby! 39 weeks today so there's still plenty of time yet tho.

LOM - ooo yes please to donuts!! I've not left the house all day so haven't managed to get any. Gutted or what!! Cant say i agree about custard donuts tho. Cold custard just makes me want to gag! Deffo go for the ten donuts. More to munch!!

Jarm - 4 packets?!! ooooooo great stuff!! I have to say i love Discos too, but i've gotta admit that my faves are Walkers S&V.

As for my baby coming before yours, i'm not entirely sure that will happen. When we went for our first scan they estimated that the baby was 5 days behind the dates we had given them so that could mean she will be late arriving. I've resigned myself to the fact that she will be late now so i will be if you have yours first, but i'm not that bothered - just bloody impatient!!

You see, by my dates, I make myself 1st December, I only had sex once in 6 weeks to fall pregnant this time! Im not really all that fussy now - there is just one day I want to avoid and that is Thursday..... its the aunt's birthday and I will never hear the end of it if he arrives then! (selfish, moi? NEVER!)

Im eating like a horse today - probably makes up for not eating right for the last 9 months! Have had my tea, but am sitting thinking whats next.... apple crumble and custard me thinks! May as well stock up now on food before not being able to eat for being too busy with a newborn!

Dont get me started on the child benefit thing - how bloody irresponsible can you get?! Jeez, the government are SHIT! Will be keeping a close eye on my bank account now - not that I dont anyway with all the penny watching that needs doing!

Chill out night tonight, cant even be bothered to stay up and watch Im a Celebrity i dont think, but i may change my mind.... especially if an early night means Im going to be awake at silly o clock in the morning again! I woke at 2am this morning thinking it must be time to get up and we onyl went to bed at 10pm!

DH is after a bit of you know what tonight though..... so will be asleep by 10.05pm instead!

Anymore babies on the horizon anywhere? Seems there is only a few of us left posting now!

Hope SGK got on ok with Callum today, but havent seen any posts from her all day x

aikigypsy · 20/11/2007 19:47

I am HUGE. The baby is HUGE... well, not really huge, but it feels that way. I'm now at EDD+10, and went in for a bio-physical profile and non-stress test this morning. LO is doing fine, has plenty of amniotic fluid to swish around in, and is estimated to be 4193g... big, but not too too too big. I have also gained another 5 pounds or so in the past 2 weeks, which is weight I probably didn't really need to gain, but I've been so hungry and tired lately that I don't see how I could have gotten through without all those extra slices of pie and cake.

I have agreed to eviction by induction on Monday, which will be 42+2. I think I'm comfortable with that, but I really hope she decides to come out before this coming weekend is over. Am about to start in on a heavy program of sex, nipple stim, long walks, and pineapple curry, plus maybe some accupressure. I'm glad I did my research earlier, though, so that today's eviction discussion was relatively calm and I could be very firm and decisive.

Sparkly -- how did the appointment go?
