JARM · 18/11/2007 19:21

Congrats Rev!

GUESS WHAT......

IVE GOT BOYZONE TICKETS!!!!! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO

Think i might go into labour just at the thought of Ronan Keating singing to me! He is the only man on this earth I would leave DH for! Tickets dont go on sale til tomorrow but my dad got a priority booking code because he is with O2 and the first concert is at the O2 stadium! Yay!!!

No baby news, although been VERY sore and crampy for the last 24hrs..... sure something is happening but not sure what.... feels like my fanjo is about to fall out and my lower back is SO sore I can barely sit/stand whatever!

Hope everyone is ok, Im chilling out tonight so will report back tomorrow unless there is any news before hand!!!

MamaMaiasaura · 18/11/2007 20:46

just popped over from Dec/Jan threads to have a good old noisy on how it is going here Wishing you all safe labours and wonderful babies

Also noticed a fair few southampton ladies so waving to you from soton too. xx

sparklygothkat · 18/11/2007 21:21

another montage for the baby stalkers

RGPargy · 18/11/2007 22:09

Evening ladies.

Loopy - think we're all starting to get impatient now. It's soooo frustrating isn't it!

LOM - sorry you are having a grumpy day. If it's any consolation, i've been grumpy all weekend too. Just feeling really immobile and impatient now! chin up tho, use this place to vent and whinge. It really does help!!

Jarm - BOYZONE?!!!! Good grief woman!! Get some taste will you?! Hope you enjoy the gig.

Awen - hello! I'm not from Soton, but in my pre-pg days, DP and I would always be down there going to parties at the dock in Unit 22 or whatever it's called nowadays lol.

Sparkly - awww thanx for that. I needed to do some stalking and that's eased the urge for a bit.

Have a nice rest of the evening ladies! More babies please!

JARM · 19/11/2007 04:25

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

all these pics.... i want my baby NOW!!! You are all so bloomin lucky! Give all those gorgeous babies a big sniff from me!

RGP - Im only 25 (just!) Boyzone were my massive teenage crush! Ok so some of their earlier stuff was pretty shocking now I look back on it, but I still love them! THey were fantastic on children in need on friday night, and I cant wait til May now - im just wondering what im more excited about - boyzone or the baby!!!!

Well as you can see, im posting at silly o clock in the morning, DD1 woke up, we put her back to bed, but im awake now.... this is mental! I WANT TO GO BACK TO SLEEP! Good training for dealing with a newborn again though after at least 18mnths of sleeping most of the way through the night!

Hope there is some more baby news soon - I know GoodGollyMissMolly was in the throws of labour last night, so fingers crossed!

Hello all, sorry to post with sad news but I just wanted to let you all know that sadly my mum died in a car accident on 10th Nov, 8 days after Amelia was born. It's obviously been a horrible horirble shock and the last week has been pretty horrendous but I think I'm getting there slowly. She was a very young 71 and was crashed into by a 17 year old who may have been answering his phone at the time - that's not certain yet, there will be an inquest but it may take up to a year to happen. Our consolation is that she was unconscious instantly, the first person on the scene was a retired nurse who actually knew my mum and she said she was with her till she died (within 15 minutes) and she was completley unconscious, no sounds or signs of pain at all.

Dh has been a fantastic support. My dr told me not to fly back to UK as I was still in hospital with quite a bad infection in the caesarian wound. It's been an unbelievable rollercoaster couple of weeks but Amelia is ahuge comfort though I am angry her granny has been taken away from her (and her 7 cousins). My family are videoing the funeral so I get to see and hear it. I think there will be some very hard days ahead but I am determined to get through and be the best mum I can be for my little girl, despite the circumstances.

I haven't really caught up with all the births but hope you are all well and good luck to those about to have their babies.

StrangeTown · 19/11/2007 06:48

Anna - I am so sorry to hear your awful news. I have no idea how hard it must be for you to be in this position. You must look after yourself and Amelia. Thinking of you.

BunnyBaby · 19/11/2007 07:51

Anna - that is awful news. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please take care xxxxx

sarahloumadam · 19/11/2007 09:48

Hi Anna
Really sorry to hear your very sad news; how horrific for you and your family. I am sure that your mum was a very proud and excited granny to baby Amelia and I can understand why you feel angry. Thinking of you and your family

Sarah xx

Oh, Anna, I'm so sorry! What a tragedy. My thoughts are with you, and do take care of yourself (and the baby).

LK2boyzma · 19/11/2007 18:06

Anna, so sorry for your loss, deepest sympathies are with you and your family

revelyell · 19/11/2007 19:03

So sorry for your loss Anna, I cant imagine the mix of emotions you must be going through. Glad to know that you have Amelia and a supportive DH to get you through. big virtual hug to you.

JARM · 19/11/2007 19:12

I left a message for Anna on the post natal thread, but again I am so sorry, and I know what you are going through unfortunately.

Hope everyone else is ok, understandably it is very quiet on here today.

Not a lot to report here other than the constant feeling of something falling out of my fanjo and lower back pain.

AnnainNZ · 19/11/2007 19:50

Thanks for all your support, I feel almost embarassed to be putting such sad news on threads about babies! But I couldn't keep posting and not mention it. Keep up the baby talk, I want to know all about what's happening.Amelia is doing great, has a slightly mad time in the evenings when she wants to constantly feed for about 3 hours, but then makes up for it by sleeping about 5 hours at a time at night time.

littleoldme · 19/11/2007 19:59

Anna - Glad Amelia is doing so well and letting you get some kip. And don't be embarrassed, of course you had to say something. Here's some more baby chat - as requested.

MIL came over today. She had knitted the most gorgeous little red coat with toggles and a pixie hood. Do you ever look at kids' clothes and wish they came in adult sizes?

Jarm - PITA [ literally it seems ] that you are sooo uncomfortable. Hope it's not long now.

I put a thread up about going past 42 weeks and have had some really positive responses so I'm feeling much more relaxed about what will happen if I do go over. I got myself completely wound up over the weekend. The only thing that cheered me up was a topless Gordon Ramsay on the front of the Observer Food Monthy, be still my beating heart.
