Evening all!

Well Im sat here on the laptop watching IM A CELEBRITY - man i love this programme!

Have just spend the last hour on my hands and knees scrubbing the kitchen/diner floor with an old fashioned scrubbing brush and bowl of water, and sorting out washing and tumble drying! Baby now has hickups because of all the activity!

I do feel a little better than I did earlier today, but think I need to sort out my iron levels, doesnt seem Spatone is hitting the spot, but Pregaday is bunging me up so I cant poo which makes me feel so much worse!

Am off to Dads tomorrow morning as the Aunty and 2 lazy arse cousins are finally moving into their own home, so we are going over to help them move stuff and to get my dads house back to some sort of normality! They are only moving accross the road mores the pity, but at least dad will have some space back - its been a long 6 months! (Dad lives at 85, they are moving to 86!)

The oldest lazy cousin had a job interview at McDonalds yesterday, seemed to go well, has a second interview on monday so fingers crossed! Surely, if he cant get a job at McDonalds we have problems!!!

DH is standing doing my ironing for me bless him, even though he shouldnt be standing for so long, I will have to make it up to him later!!!

Come on people..... where are all these babies?!!!

sparklygothkat · 15/11/2007 20:14

HI all more pics of Callum on my profile, for all the baby stalkers

RGPargy · 15/11/2007 20:16

Loopy - i'm beginning to get fed up too now. 38+2 now. It occurred to me today that i have never actually been this pregnant before (DS came at 37 weeks) so this is all new to me. Hope you enjoyed your hot chocolates, despite your DDs playing up today.

Easy - so sorry to hear about yoru situation. How very frustrating and sad for you.

LK - lol i've been thinking "this is it!" ever since last week, but alas, i'm still here with a big belly, bump ache and backache (when i'm standing for too long). Not long to go now. Maximum of just under 4 weeks.

Jarm - hope you feel better soon sweetie.

Revel - oooooo good luck!!!! Keep us posted!

Nothing going on in Camp RG i'm afraid. I've been very very DomGod today. I've cooked up a batch of both meat and veggie lasagnes, before starting on dinner. Nigella is very much DP's favourite person today. Not only did i cook up a lovely lemon & mushroom pasta thing, but i also knocked up a really simple syrup roly poly with fresh cream. DP thought he'd died and gone to heaven, i tell you!! I have well and truly polished my halo today!

Think i'm going to continue sipping my well earned weekly glass of vino and then have an ice cream in a bit. Then i think DP and I are in for an "early night".

Have a nice evening every one!

Sparkly!!!!! HE IS DEVINE!!!!!

Looks like his Daddy!!!

Awwww, I want a snuggle

RGPargy · 15/11/2007 20:22

Jarm - glad you are feeling better now. I'm on the laptop watching I'm a Celebrity too. Must admit i quite like the programme and despite much protesting before it started, DP has tolerated it every day since it started.

McDonalds give you TWO interviews?!!! WTF?!! I would never have thought that! It's a burger joint, ffs!! "Hello, can you flip a burger?" "erm..... let me try. Yup, i can do that." "Great, you're hired." Glad they are finally moving out of your dad's tho. What a relief for him (and you too no doubt!).

Sparkly - awwww lovely picks of Callum!! Bless him!!!

JARM · 15/11/2007 20:24

Tell me about RG! 2 interviews!!! He had one at the main "resteraunt" in town and the other one is for the little drive through where he would be working.

DH loves it just as much as me - i will say some of the trials scare me a little - feel like reaching for a pillow sometimes!!!!

revelyell · 15/11/2007 21:13

ooh RUBBISH. I went and had a sleep this evening and now all twinges have stopped... am now frantically bouncing on ball for first time in weeks in hope of getting back into labour groove!

JARM · 15/11/2007 21:19

aww rev - sleep is good. Dont want to go into labour knackered!

I really must pump up my ball again - it has deflated ever so slightly, and get bouncing! Although, im prefering to bounce on DH at the moment LOL

RGPargy · 15/11/2007 21:31

I daren't buy one of those balls. I'm bound to pop it if i were to even THINK about bouncing/sitting on it!!!

Morning ladies!

Blimey, it's been 12 hours since anyone posted (i.e. ME!). Where IS everyone? Off having gorgeous babies, no doubt!!

I've got a midwife appointment this morning. TBH i never thought i'd make it to this appointment, but oh well.

See you all a bit later. Have plenty of cake while i'm gone!

fiona76 · 16/11/2007 09:40

Morning all!
I'm still here RGP. No baby arrived over night .

The good news is the doc said the baby is 3/5 engaged so at least it's in the right region. I've booked an appointment for tuesday so will ask for a sweep to get things moving but hopefully something will happen on the weekend and I won't make that appointment.

I'm off for my (hopefully)last antenatal yoga session today. My mum arrives on thursday so I won't go next week anyway even if I'm still PG.

Is anyone else starting to get text and calls asking if anything has happened yet. It's a bit maddening-obviously nothing has happened or else they would know about it.

Being in the overdue club sux.

fiona76 · 16/11/2007 09:42

Sparkly- Callum looks so much look your DP. He's a cutie! Hope you guys are OK today.

littleoldme · 16/11/2007 09:52

I'm here Rg !!!!!!

Will post properly later as am already late for MW appt.

Have I told you my interesting fact about Llamas?

sparklygothkat · 16/11/2007 10:00

lol, DS1 and DD2 looked just like Callum at birth too DD1 looked totally different.

Off to BF clinic today to get Callum weighed. He has been very unsettled the last few nights, not sure if he is just feeling insucure.

sarahloumadam · 16/11/2007 10:52

Morning all!

Aren't we an impatient bunch now?! No signs here although the midwife said he was fully engaged and when I asked if he would unengage again said "NO!" rather emphatically. Going to the loo every 2 mins!

Sparkly - his eyes! Gorgeous.

How are the other new mums doing?

Speak to you all later x

sparklygothkat · 16/11/2007 11:01

oh yes! his big eyes! he gets them from me!

people keep trying to steal him!!! mums at the school, DS1's doctors and physios lol

littleoldme · 16/11/2007 11:19

Sparkly - He is totally gorgeous. No wonder people keep trying to steal him.

Easy - Sorry about your news yesterday . Hope you are feeling happier today.

Loopy - I know what you mean re gearing yourself up for a long one. I just feel so pants I can't bear the though - so at the mo it's just a day at a time.

The last 4 night I've woken up with progressively intense period type pains that last for about an hour then fizzle out. It's hard to be relaxed when evrything is obvioulsy getting going.

Just been to the docs who says that the baby is more engaged than last time, 2/5 instead of 3, and that I am bog standard healthy. Can't ask for anymore that really. Oh apart form an F baby!

Llamas have a 72 hour window in which they can choose when they go into labour. Keeps them out the rain and away from predators. I'd like to a Llama

Easywriter · 16/11/2007 12:10

Hi everyone, I'm still around and in a slightly better mood. I've decided not to take it lying down (excuse the pun) and so have been letter writing in the true vein of a stroppy woman in order to get the birth I want. Hope it all pans out ok, at the moment I'm being bombarded with calls from my MW and the SOM. I've call to call the Chief Exec in a minute. (Yes, I am bricking it a bit). I just keep trying to tell myself that not only will it make a difference to me but it'll make a difference to any other woman in my position in Sheffield in the future.
Am scared though!

SGK - Lovely pictures! They certainly are helping keep my spirits up. He is gorg! I still really love the photo of Callum and his cousin. Soooooo cute!

Mmmm! Wouldn't mind being a llama myself little.

RGP - Hope all went well with MW.

RGPargy · 16/11/2007 12:40

Morning everyone!

Well i got back from the MW a couple of hours ago. Great news! She said that baby's head was fully engaged into my pelvis and was only 1/5th palpable. She said that this indicated baby was ready to go and it was just a matter of when - could be anytime, could be two weeks! This particular mw was experienced in home water births and so has given me her mobile number and wants to be phoned so that she can deliver the baby. My other MW that i normally see was on holiday but also wants to come and observe the birth too. Oooo i'm in demand! She recommended that i actually pump the pool up now and get another kettle, as well as a square mirror that she can put in the water to "check how things are going". She also suggested i might want to look too. eeewww a mirror image of my fanjo?? no thanx!! All in all, i'm feeling very positive and just hope that baby comes VERY soon!!!! Got jiggy with DP last night in the hope that something would happen, but i'm still waiting lol. MW has booked me in for 2 weeks time when i'll be 3 days over so she's booked me in for a sweep, although i'm really hoping i dont make it to the next mw appointment!

Only thing is, the water mw cannot make next week due to extra shifts she's doing on the maternity ward so i'm seriously hoping that baby comes this weekend or next weekend!! She even said to call her if it's the middle of the night! How lovely of her!

Fiona - no texts or calls here asking if i've popped yet. I get the odd message online stating the obvious - "not long to go now?!" but that's it really.

LOM - lol @ your llama fact!! Think i'd like to be one of those too. How exciting re waking up with pains. Things must be moving for you!!! Keep us informed!

Sarah - I'll join you in the fully engaged club! How exciting!

Loopy - Oooo i couldn't possibly wait 2 weeks after due date for this LO. This one is going to come out soon no matter WHAT!!!!!

Easy - good for you for making a stand! Keep fighting!
