TBH i dont think I am eating or drinking enough - i should make more of an effort. I did eat a big meal tonight and feel great tonight (bar BH's) so maybe its my body telling me to take it steady and eat!

Glad i made you laugh - even it was triple cringe on my part lol

Well we are on flood warnings here, and DD1's nursery is likely to be shut tomorrow so its all good fun.... i think tea at grandads house tomorrow is whats needed!

RGPargy · 08/11/2007 20:50

Jarm - you must really try and eat regularly. As i said, even if it's something little and often, like a biscuit or two. Make sure you drink plenty too. Even if it's squash. You will be more thirsty atm so get it down your neck!!

Flood warnings?? Again?!! Blimey, get to grandad's for tea tomoz!!!

JARM · 08/11/2007 21:22

i will - sorry mum!!

Am off to kitchen for salt and vinegar crisps and hot choc.... wish i could have HEALTHY cravings!

I really cant be dealing with floods right now - Im about to have a baby ffs!

revelyell · 08/11/2007 22:51

aaah Easy and Mrs J sounds like you are close! sending lots of luck and effective contraction vibes your way!

names wise, ive remembered a few that i like:
harry
evan (you prompted that one littleoldme!)
ethan
ben (see i can do normal!)
gabriel
howie

thing is though, i dont LOVE any of them like i love the girls names ive thought of! still i guess you come to love em as time goes on. the names i mean not the baby

aikigypsy · 08/11/2007 22:57

ARGH!!! I posted on here earlier today, and yesterday too (maybe) and neither one seems to have gone through. The little elves that work the dial-up modem must be on strike.

Big congratulations to Silk and Choudru! More babies! Yay!

I have been feeling lots of twinges and tightenings the past couple of evenings, and this morning I woke up thinking it might all happen very soon. My EDD is this weekend, but I've also been starting to feel like she's ready to come out. We'll see.

JARM · 09/11/2007 07:32

Morning!!!

Well, didnt get to sleep til gone 1am, but slept not tooooooo badly until 6.30am when the girls were both wide awake coughing and snotting all over the place.... oh the joy!

Not sure whats happened to the flood possibilities - all seems ok here so far, although they have closed the Port until at least lunchtime - so traffic will be mental as the lorries back up along the A14!

littleoldme · 09/11/2007 07:53

Jarm - I really feel you with all the flood warnings. It can't be the sort of thing you want to be thinking of at the mo.
Hope everyone in your house makes a speedy recovery from their sniffles

I've been having lots of twinges over the last couple of days. I woke up last night with quite bad period type pain. I've got another 2 1/2 weeks to go yet but it is good to know that everything is limbering up.

JARM · 09/11/2007 07:58

it is the last thing i need - especially as we are 20 minutes down the A14 from the hospital (12 miles)!

Feel like ive "lost" half my bump overnight - seems so small today! Hmmmmm.... not sure what that means!

fiona76 · 09/11/2007 08:22

Morning
Had lots of period pains last night and discharge (tmi)I kept thinking my waters had broken but alas. Didn't sleep great. So I got up at 5.45 and made DH breakfast in bed. I did add that this is what I expect in a few weeks. Now I feel rubbish and tired but should get in the swing of things. I've got yoga today and DH is going to the dentist later so I might go with him and register as I haven't been to the dentist for a few years since we moved to the area. I might try for a check up next week. I 've been meaning to register for this whole pregnancy but just haven't got round to it.

I might have a nosey in the shops while DH is having his teeth checked if I can be bothered. Feel like I'm filling in time now. There is a NCT nearly new sale tomorrow so will go to that and see if there are any bargins to be had.

Hope noone is flooded this morning doesn't seem as bad as they predicted yet.

My friend in NZ had a little girl last week 9 pound 7 called Emily Rose. She is gorgeous.

littleoldme · 09/11/2007 09:37

Revel - I like your name list. Something will fit naturally when he arrives.

JARM - How's the flooding looking?

Fiona - Go shopping. i've just been looking at the next catalogue and they've got some gorgeous baby stuff in.
9 pounds 7 - now that is really enough to make your eyes water

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 10:03

Morning everyone!

Revel - I like all your name choices except for Howie, i'm not too keen on that. I agree that a name will just fall into place when you meet your little boy.

Aiki - oh the joys of the Dial Up Pixies!! Fingers crossed that something happens for you this weekend!

Jarm - sorry you woke up to snot everywhere lol. Hope your flood situation isn't too bad. That's the last thing you need really isn't it! If your bump has suddenly got small, doesn't that usually indicate that baby has engaged a bit? Mine bump keeps going big, small, big, small lol.

Fiona - Glad you told DH the score with regard to breakfast in bed!! I hate it when i get up too early and then feel rubbish at about 9am. Make the most of your time and get yourself off to the dentist. I think we're all guilty of trying to fill in time before babies arrive. It's such a waiting game for us now isn't it! The NCT sale sounds like a good idea too.

Well me and DP had an "early night" last night () and then this morning i woke up and my bump was feeling very tight. I was hoping this was it but alas, nothing has happened yet again and there's no indication that it's likely to either. Bugger. So anyway, i was wide awake again at 6.30am so got up with DP. I was waddling round Asda by 8.15 getting some shopping in for a cook-a-thon today and back home in plenty of time for tea, bagel and Jezza!!

I'm going to try and do lots of undercoating for DP today in the baby's room coz it would be a massive help to him if i could get that out of the way. There's only really the paintwork left to do in there now and then we can actually furnish the room! Yay!!

What's everyone up to today? I hope Choudru and Silk come on with some pics very soon!!!

Oh PS - i have decided to revert back to the MN Classic because it's much much easier to follow when you're looking through a thread that gets as long as ours does. Maybe that's why some posts seem to get lost or summat?

berrybliss · 09/11/2007 10:24

Morning all!
I'M STILL PREGNANT! Few period type pains too but still no contractions so off to the massive ASDA to have a good walk arround whilst getting all those last minute bits and bobs.

Will keep you all posted...........

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 10:33

Ah, dagnammit!! Good luck Berry, have a nice shop.

OP posts:
FCH · 09/11/2007 10:48

Helloo!!

Berry - noooo - get yourself walking girl - bound to help (she says having no idea whatsoever!).

Well I think I am finally getting my first Braxton Hicks so perhaps the fact that the midwife is coming to do a sweep this afternoon has finally prompted my body to remember that it is supposed to be producing a baby any day now!!

By the way Aiki I was wondering where you had gone - but I don't think it is dial up pixies as I am on Broadband and have just noticed that my contribution to the great names debate never materialised so I guess it is just the pregnancy vibes interfeering with the machine

RG - I take it that your well deserved relaxation this afternoon in front of JK will be the inaugural use of the humungous new TV? I am most impressed that you have been so active this morning when you have such a great excuse (in terms of quality assurance ) to spend all day lying in front of the tv.

Right - I am going to toddle into town for my last social engagement of the week - lunch with the wives from DH's work and then back to see the MW.

Will check back in later to see if there is any news......

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 11:32

lol FCH - well i have spent the last 2 hours quality testing the TV. I really should spend the rest of day testing it (just to make sure it works for long periods of time, you understand) but the nursery paint job is calling me.

Think i'll make a white choc instant mousse first, then go up and do some painting while it sets in time for dinner tonight.

Afternoon all.

Well flood warnings have subsided slightly, it looks mental down on the front though - we took a drive and there are so many people doing the same thing!

It just seems that there is a few beach hut issues and obviously the Port closure is causing problems on the Dock Spur roundabout, but other than that we all seem ok... thank god!

Well I am so so so pissed off with the 17yr old lazy arse cousin.... we pitched up at my dads at 12noon (staying here til bed time tonight!) and wasnt expecting him to be here as he has an interview at 1pm..... except the little shit was asleep on the sofa, had "forgotten" about the interview apparently..... after all the work I have put into him this week, it was a major kick in the teeth - and he even admitted he would have lied to me tonight when asked how the interview went.

Well I kicked his arse off the sofa, got him changed (even if he did look a state because he hadnt bothered ironing his clothes) and drove him to where the interview is - at least I know he has turned up now. It just makes my blood boil that at 37+4 weeks pregnant, I can be arsed to do this and yet a 17yr old lad goes to bed at 11.30pm last night, was up at 8am and apparently fell asleep on the sofa at 9am and didnt wake up til we walked in.... GRRRRRRRRRR

Sorry for that rant - it has just made me so angry!

Hope all you lovely ladies are ok, any more babies for me to coo over?!

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 15:11

Afternoon!

Well i've done around 3 hours of painting so i think that's enough for me for today! It's annoying tho coz it's just the fiddly bits of woodwork that need painting, i.e. each side of the wardrobe doors, the lid of the wardrobe and the shelves that are going inside the wardrobe so i've done all that. I would have done the skirting too, but i cant bend down that low for that long! It's just the archatrave, the wardrobe inside and out and the bedroom door that need painting now. Undercoat and topcoat. Yuk!!

Anyway, less of the waffle!!

Loopy - you could have had some coz i a little spare.

Jarm - OMG your cousin!!!!!!! That is just sooooo lazy and very typical of a teenage lad. Do you think he could have been nervous and/or shy and that's why he didn't really want to go? It's infuriating, isn't it?

Macaroni cheese for tea tonight - all homemade of course.

I'm off to make a cup of tea and put on my DomGod hat.

Hello!

Congratulations Choudru and Silk! Sooo exciting. And more girls.

Berry - good luck!!! sending strong labour vibes.

RG, can I have some mousse??

Fiona, enjoy the NCT sale - I couldnt face the one here recently cos I gathered it would be mad.

Well nothing happening here... I'm 41+2 now and very fed up! I've almost given up hoping anything'll happen before induction next week but I can't stop hoping altogether. The good side is I'm still fit and able to walk about; the bad thing is the waiting is doing my head in! I've had a show but it didnt lead to anything... I've had period pains and intermittent contractions on and off for a couple of weeks but nothing leading to anything. FCH, hope your sweep works better than mine did!

Off to rest and read - have had a constitutional walk to Tesco and around it and then had some chocolate and now it's time to chill... hugs to all!

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 15:31

Choc - yes of course you can! You must be feeling really fed up now. I cant wait to get this baby out, and i'm only 37+4!

Sending you big labour vibes in the hope that something happens before induction!!

Hi there

Well still here. Last night for 3 hours we were absolutely convinced something was happening, I then fell asleep and woke up this morning - still with a bump!!!!!!

Damn......

Saw the MW this afternoon as I have not felt the baby move much, I was incredibly sick this morning adn I feel really dizzy all of the time - plus I am getting paranoid that I have had 3 perfectly healthy normal babies etc and can it really happen again with number 4. Still getting lots of period pain type events going on ....hopefully bringing everything closer to the end!!

No appetite today, although did eat 6 Jaffa cakes whilst making a cup of tea!! xx

fiona76 · 09/11/2007 16:49

I have finished and wrapped my christmas presents I'm so proud!!! I still have to organise cards but I've done a few addresses so its started.

To be fair I haven't bought much this year just for DH and my family in NZ. Mum will take them home with her after her visit with LO. All family in SA will only get cards and photos of LO this year as DH gave me no input of what to buy them and they don't send us anything so I have decided that thats enough for them. We will be with them next year so will make up for it then. They won't mind.

All friends in UK will get thankyou cards and photos this year so nice and easy christmas for us.

DH hasn't even thought about it yet and its my birthday in 3 weeks and then christmas but I guess he doesn't have to shop with a baby and worry about nipping in between feeds.

littleoldme · 09/11/2007 17:12

Rg - Sounds like you are having a busy day. Make sure you save some of that choc mousse now

Berry - Hope it isn't too long darlin. Doesn't it make you just grrrrr.

Choc - Hope you managed to some relaxing. Not long now.

FCH- Hope the sweep went well and spurs your Lo into action.

Jarm - How did cousin get on with the interview?

Mrs J - Only 6 jaffa cakes! How frightfullt restrained. Sounds like you are feeling a tad rubbish - I prescribe bath, cake and feet up.

We've got our NCT class tomorrow and it's an all day job. I have a feeling we'll probably bunk off in the afternoon. I feel so sore and crampy I'm not sure I can cope with a full day. Have lovely night everyone.

And will someone please have baby , or at least go into labour, before I log in again. Come on girls , you can do it.

JARM · 09/11/2007 17:16

The lazy arse cousin went, and filled out a form, but they need to see if they have anything suitable as he is under 18 and cant work on his own until he is.

He just pissed me off so so much - hormones probably, but i just dont know why i bother!

As of next weekend though at least he will be in his own house with his mum and brother rather than dossing about my dads house making the place look untidy!

Well done RGP on the decorating - but take it easy mate.... cant have you popping before me!!!

Bump seems to have got bigger again this afternoon...... not sure what was going on this morning but i looked down and saw my boobs rather than my bump!

Chip shop tea tonight - we are all feeling a bit crappy so cant be bothered with cooking!

Early night tonight - i tell ya, i need it - im so so so so so tired, but then again, havent had my daily nap today as been at my dads and so het up with the lazy arse cousin!
