fridge freezer went pop last night
could have done without having to buy s new one and also losing loads of food.

feeding is better. miilk came in on wednedsay so swyn is sleeping a bitr more at night now

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 19:21

Mrs J - how inconvenient for your LO to not pop out in your slee!!! Sounds like things are on their way for you tho. Sending you big fat labour vibes!!

Fiona - OMG you ARE good!!! I've not even thought about the C word yet!!!

LOM - i've saved the mousse for you. DP said it was the best dessert he's ever tasted!

Jarm - DS keeps coming up with the same problem because he is under 18. It's very frustrating! Also, i am DEFFO gonna be popping before you young lady! We're in a race, dont forget! Enjoy your chippy dinner!

Pixie - Bummer about your fridge freezer! At least Swyn is sleeping and feeding better now tho - that must be a huge relief for you!

Loopy- what do you need a sieve for? What is a birth box? Sorry for being dim.

Jarm- Are you sure your boobs didn't get bigger?

berrybliss · 09/11/2007 20:18

I think this is the start of a good thing.....

I'm getting sharp but not overly painful period type pains evry 10-20 mins or so in my lower stomach lasting about a 30sec to a min or so. Then i feel fine. No back ache though so i'm not sure if they are proper contactions but it def feels like somethings up!................... (whilst i still can)

revelyell · 09/11/2007 20:30

lots and lots of luck then berry, will be thinking of you this evening!

meanwhile, RG, how do i get back to mumsnet classic? I am fed up with faffing about with 'Jump to page' etc but cant see how i change the format...

JARM · 09/11/2007 21:09

ooooh good luck Berry!

I dont think the boobs have got bigger, tummy was deffo smaller!

Just home now, so having a hot choc and then off to bed..... need my sleep! All the frustration of the lazy arse cousin has done me right in!

Take care all and will be back in the morning xxx

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 21:20

Revel - at the top of the page, where it says "Active Convs" there's a bit that says "customise talk board". Click on that and you should be able to see the options that allow you to revert back to MN Classic.

Hope that makes sense!

Berry - ooooooooooooo good stuff!!! Keep us posted!!!!

Fiona - the sieve is for any "bits" that might be floating around in the pool during labour/birth.

Jarm - have a good sleep and rest well!

I keep getting BHs today. I've had them since this morning. I'm hoping it's my body getting ready for this LO to come soonish.

OP posts:
FCH · 09/11/2007 21:37

JARM - at your cousin. Can't you take full advantage of your "hormonal state" and kill him? I would want to!!

RG - glad you got some good quality assurance in front of the TV even if you have been far too active - and by the way - any of that mousse left?

Choc - sorry no luck - I don't think my sweep is likely to help much either, my MW was not massively positive about it all!! She also said that I would have to go and convince the supervisor of midwives that I should be able to stay at home to have the baby if I go over 14 days. I am now pleading with the baby to arrive!!

Mrs J - sounds really miserable, but fingers crossed for some action soon!

Fiona - I haven't even thought about Christmas presents yet - please don't say things like that!

LOM - I'm trying! Hope your class goes well, we met some really nice people at ours!!

Pixie - bad luck with your fridge, but brilliant news about the feeding. Does your house insurance not cover the food you lost? I think mine does...

Berry - good luck, I hope this is it...

Right - well I've had the curry so I suppose I'd better drag DH off to bed . Come on baby!!

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 22:50

FCH - yup, plenty of mousse left. Very lovely but very sickly!! Good luck with the curry and other stuff.

Baby is moving around like crazy tonight! Well, what i actually mean is she keeps moving her legs and arms and it feels a little uncomfortable at the same time as feeling wonderful, IYSWIM. I wonder what she's up to in there? Hope she's getting ready to come out!!

I can only DREAM of being able to bend over to do up my shoelaces at the mo!

Hi all, we are not doing too well, Callum hasn't gained any weight this even with 2x a day topups The SCBU nurse mentioned about formula , but its not a route we want to go down atm. Everyone is getting concerned now and I thinks its only a matter of time before we are sent to the hospital.
Callum has reflux as well and is now on meds for that.

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 23:03

awww Sparkly, sorry to hear Callum's in the wars again. I really hope he starts putting on weight again very soon. The last thing you want is to be back in hospital. Fingers crossed for you luv. x

OP posts:
JARM · 10/11/2007 03:22

awww sparkly, im so sorry.... i really hope Callum picks up soon.

FCH - yep, wish i could kill the lazy arse cousin, he is doing my head in!

RGP - BH's - check - hence im here at this time of night... or morning... depending which way you look at it! Been awake since 1.45am with them, they woke me up, so am having a hot choc and will try and get back to bed in a bit.

So much for a decent nights sleep

Pixiefish · 10/11/2007 08:37

so sorry sparkly.

don't think i'll bother with house ins- not big enough freezer to be honest and most of it was home made stuff, veg and fish so low value.

Bad night last nigfht again- fingers crossed for tonight to be better

mrsjetson · 10/11/2007 12:22

Hi to all,

Sparkly - sorry to hear about Callum, poor little man. I hope that he puts on sme weight soon x

Hope everybody will start to get twinges soon..... I'm not!!!! I guess I'll be waiting for the 15th at this rate.

It would be really good if she arrived tomorrow as we have arranged lunch with friends but really don't want to go - sounds awful I know but the wife is a nightmare! We naughtily agreed to it thinking we would be otherwise engaged!!!

Anyway with my low BP I can't really do much so I shall continue with my internet shopping.

Hope you all have a good weekend xxx

empen · 10/11/2007 13:32

Hi, had DS on Tues 6th Nov 10.23am by Elec CSec. Hughie Ray De'Ath. 8lb 11oz

ChocolateHobnob · 10/11/2007 13:41

Congratulations Empen! Cute name and another boy to add to our list!

LOM, those all day NCT classes did my head in I admit. I don't think I'm an NCT natural.

RG, hurrah, leftover mousse!!!

Berry - hope it is it! - good luck and sending hugs across the ether.

JARM, bizarre about your stomach.

FCH, I know how frustrated you are cos I'm there too! I am pleading with lo as well but it isn't listening. Curry last night, didnt work, have had far too much s*x that to be honest is the last thing I feel like and hasn't worked either, so basically I just want lo to decide enough is enough and come!

Fiona, I've been sorting Christmas too (what else do you do when you're overdue!?) and have ordered q a lot online for people. I figure online Xmas is the way to go.

OK, off to chill with a magazine now. Hope everyone's having a good Saturday!

JARM · 10/11/2007 14:10

Afternoon all!

Congrats Empen! Lovely little boy and a nice weight too!

Hope everyone else is ok, im feeling really quite poorly, full of the cold and cant take anything for it! DH and the girls can at least dose themselves up every 4hrs.... i hate to suffer!

Was up in the end from 1.45am - 4.25am last night, by the time the twinges stopped I was wide awake and not even hot choc sent me back to sleep.

Dad is over today doing little bits and bobs for us, put my coat rack up in the hall and is now constructing a shoe cupboard! Dont think much more decorating will get done before baby arrives, we are all just a little too ill and tired.

Take care all and will catch up later xxx

Hi all!
Another boy how lovely we have 7 girls and 5 boys now.

DH and I have had a lovely day we got up and hit the NCT sale early and found some excellent bargins. A wiggly play thing to put on car seat or pram, soft blocks in 4 different colours and music thing that plays drum sounds-not too loud, and a changing mat all for under a tenner.

Then we went for a greasy breakfast which was yummy and then went to a car boot sale and bought a lamp shade for our standard lamp. There was loads of beautiful furniture but our house is full to bursting so could buy anything big. It was a beautiful day here so good to get out. Better than sitting around waiting for the baby to pop out cause that doesn't seem to be happening. 5 more days till I join the over due club...

aikigypsy · 10/11/2007 17:32

Congratulations Empen!

I am maybe possibly in a very mild uncertain sort of early labour. Starting last night, I've been having very mild cramps/tightenings every 10-20 minutes or so. I assume they continued while I slept, but I'm not sure. I am beginning to see how a few weeks of this would drive a person insane. I found myself looking at the astrology column to work out what the baby's moon sign would be if she's born tonight/tomorrow. Definitely losing my grip.

Also I had a dream that I went in for a labour check (only it was an old house, rather than the actual hospital) and I saw my cervix dialated about 2.5 cm. No idea what it really is, but I'll see my midwife cousin this afternoon so I can grill her before bothering to go all the way to the hospital.

RGPargy · 10/11/2007 18:26

Evening ladies.

Fiona - Sounds like you had a very productive morning! I think i would have preferred to bypass everything but the breakfast this morning tho! Haven't had a cooked breakie for aaaages. Will have to twist DP's arm to take me for one tomorrow i think! Yum!

Aiki - Are you sure they're not BH that you're feeling? It would drive me nuts if they lasted for that long without getting stronger and progressing! LOL @ your weird dream!

Sending you both positive labour vibes for the weekend!

I've been doing more painting today! More undercoating and then finally onto the top coat. DP was undercoating the wardrobe and the inside of the door. The nursery is really starting to come on now. Painting is so boring tho isn't it! It's not so bad when you're doing walls etc, but painting loooooads of woodwork THREE times (primer, undercoat, topcoat) is sooooooo dull dull dull!!!

DP is off to get us a curry in a minute then i am going to be quality evaluating the new TV again tonight while DP goes to the pub with his mate. There was a time where i would be dead jealous about not going to the pub but i cant believe these days i'm hardly ever up for going to the pub, even for my weekly vino!!

Have a nice evening everyone!

Sparkly - Hope Callum picks up soon. You guys must ne having a really tough time of it. Lots of love.

Empen - Massive congratulations.

MRS J - Hope your Lo arrives really soon

Choc . I quite enjoyed the class but a full day is too much. Dh and I bunked off early. I was so tired, feeling sick and very uncomfortable. Feel mega hormonal today and got quite arsey at one point. By the sounds of it it's a good job I didn't make the BF classes - that really would have ended up in a scrap.

Jarm - Sorry you had a pants night sleep. sounds like there were a few of us up. I woke DH up as I was sweeping the floor and washing up at 3.30 am. I had to restrain myself from cleaning out the cutlery drawer as well. Hope you sleep better tonight. If not, log on and have a chat !

RG - Easy on the decorating; remember you've got a new telly to bed in.

FCH - We've met some lovely people at NCT too.

Feel a tad today. Just hormones I know but I'm either being grumpy or crying and anytime I try and do anything it feels like LO is trying to head but his way out and hurts lots.

On the side, my older sister got engaged today. It's especially lovely because she has learning difficulites and often feels left behind with big life stuff. It's her turn now and I'm absolutley delighted for her
