Daftmoo just want to second what everyone else has said, your doctor is talking shite. I've put on about 4.5 lbs as well, I'm a couple of weeks further on than you, but I'm feeling quite proud of myself - with dd I'd easily put on over a stone by the end of the first trimester - now that's excessive weight gain. Everything I've read suggests your weight gain is well within acceptable limits and even if you had put on too much at this stage any responsible gp would be telling you just to watch it for the rest of the pregnancy not go to a slimming club fgs - pregnancy is no time to be dieting.

Ellieg - hope your scan went well

Hi Guys just wanted to say have a lovely weekend and I have had a small name change as Thelittlesoldiersmummy was too long to write

PeachyFleshCrawlingWithBugs · 26/10/2007 20:43

My boobs itching too- never had it before either.

Just to show how time is moving on, there is now a due in july thread!!!!

chipmonkeyPumpkinNorks · 26/10/2007 21:10

My boobs have been very sore this pg. Don't remember noticing them at all on ds2 and ds3, only on ds1. I did bf ds3 up to 2 months before getting pg though.

Fleecy · 26/10/2007 21:30

TLSM, am I right in thinking you had a Nipper 360? Are they any good?

I have a Micralite Fastfold for DD1 and love it but as she'll only be 17 months when DC2 arrives, I'm thinking about getting a double nipper 360. I think it fits through most doorways? And it looks nice! But is it any good?

Thanks!

chipmonkeyPumpkinNorks · 26/10/2007 21:41

Do people actually remember what buggies other people had? I can barely remember what buggy I have!

ladylush · 26/10/2007 22:10

Hi Scorpio That was so sweet - you're ds signing "love" and "baby". Bless him Must have been lovely for all of you to hear the heartbeat

PeachyFleshCrawlingWithBugs · 26/10/2007 22:16

(Demonaid- thanks for cat sympathy . We're still all a bit upset, as Sis tells me vets were obliged to see hm as an emergency so REALLY angry that they refused, effectively killed him and now have the nerve to bill us £325.... but Sister keeping an eye out for another for us, won't repalce Tripod- he was too much of a character- but might cheer us up a little you know? Esp. ds1, as was his cat really)

TLSM · 27/10/2007 08:56

I loved the Nipper the only problem I had with it was my little chap got too big his head touched the hood when it was open other wise it was brilliant - My sister had the double as its the lightest she used it until her oldest was walking its now on its third owner! (she didnt have the swivel wheel) I would highly recommend it it is also the fav of all the pushcahirs I have had for my DH!

Well I am off to Biscester for the day as my Sister lives there may bump into you Lorayn

Lorayn · 27/10/2007 11:13

Oooh lovely TLSM, Although I'm going to see the Tweenies in Oxford this afternoon. Lucky me

chipmonkeyPumpkinNorks · 27/10/2007 15:59

Is the double Nipper a side-by-side or a tandem? I think I am going to have to get a double buggy to keep ds3 under control. Can't see him being compliant enough for a buggy board.

demonaid · 27/10/2007 19:12

Is there a vets regulatory body you can complain to (given you're changing vets anyway, so it doesn't matter if you piss this lot off, plus the fact that by the sound of things they've done the same thing before so it's about time they got pulled up on it)?

PeachyFleshCrawlingWithBugs · 27/10/2007 20:17

Not sure- have to chat to Sis about that. Dh said that when he got there he was listening to the women on reception arguing with someone who said they needed an appointment, and refusing them one. Hope that poor animal was OK!.

Lorayn · 27/10/2007 21:49

arghhhhh, I have the most horrible headache in the world, EVER!

V1KK1M · 28/10/2007 07:29

Peachy, I once had to have a puppy put down due to inbreeding and it turned out to have spinal problems, they charged me £300 for the heartache and I tried to report the breeder to the Kennel Club and they seamed very uninterested. I ended up getting 'some' money back from her after I threatened court action!

I know it won't bring your cat back but I wouldn't pay the vets fees as the outcome and treatment was due to thier inability to see you in a timely manner!

I've also been awake since 6:15 (after going to bed at 1am) so I feel I am going to be in a very bad mood today - poor hubby

demonaid · 28/10/2007 08:54

This may be relevant...

PeachyFleshCrawlingWithBugs · 28/10/2007 11:58

Turns out he had a heart condition they hadnt ,mentioned to us (Dh has seen it was on his file) so we hold them doubly negligent as we would have rushed him to another vets if we had knowmn, and indeed have had him checked regularly. So we are not paying!

Thanks for that link- We will be complaining, definitely!

Well.... feeling well at the mo, wondering if this is the nearest I will come to blooming LOL! Am well and truly in maternity wear now, had to do a piece to camera yesterday for a rugby thing for the news and couldn't beleive how PG I looked! I am going to be HUGE this time! Also suffering fromm the SPD again though so thinking about speaking tp Hysio, I am going to need some crutches or something to pull myself up on when DH isn't here, as twice DS1 has had to pull me up and could hurt his back.

Still, its all worth it - almost halfway now! 18 weeks tomorrow...

Lorayn · 28/10/2007 12:24

I can take codeine during pregnancy cant i?
I have hd this headache since about 8pm last night and it will not go, it is soooo horrible, more migrainey tbh but I dont have an version to light, which I normally do with migraines.
I have tried everything esle and really dont think I can put up iwth it anymore so dp is off to get me some codeine, seeing midwife tomorrow anyway so surely taking it once or twice today should be ok??

Denny185 · 28/10/2007 12:32

Im pretty sure you can, they give it during early labour, but maybe its worth just giving you MW a quick ring to check

Woollymummy · 28/10/2007 13:06

Hello everyone, I thought I was aiming for May 1st but just had my scan and they say my EDD is 28th April, so can I join your group? My DD is 16 1/2 months, am a bit anxious about how I will manage to keep her occupied while endlessly breastfeeding next summer, hope it's nice weather!!! I loved seeing my new sprout yesterday, it now feels more real, much more exciting. Hooray!

Denny185 · 28/10/2007 13:16

Hi Woollmummy congratulations on your preg glad scan went ok

TLSM · 28/10/2007 20:56

Hi chipmonkeyPumpkinNorks the double nipper is side by side

Woollymummy Welcome glad your scan went well

Hope everyone is ok my belly has really popped out over the last few days its scary

scorpio1 · 28/10/2007 21:17

Lorayn, have you tried a 4head stick? i get really bad headaches too. its a natural remedy you swipe on your forehead-it makes your head go cold and the smell eases up the ache. Its about a fiver from Boots.

How is everyone else? Hi Woolymummy
