On the wine, I have started have a glass a week (as I really missed it!) but my DH tuts and ruins it for me. Grrrr.

ToastAddict · 05/11/2007 16:15

I'm so jealous of the food
My appetite in the evenings still isn't great, problem is, I really can't face cooking anything and I think I've run the freezer down

May have to get dh to concoct one of his "creations" - he never quite knows what it's going to be til it's ready!

scampmum · 05/11/2007 16:18

Don't worry, Ellie, it's just shock.

PeachyCosmicExplosion · 05/11/2007 16:19

So relieved my inlaws are miles away- FIL and his Partner are lovely, and DH 'disposed' of MIL and by deafult though not intention BIL about 2 years ago after she called DS1 a freak thinking I was outside the room (cow)- she wanted ds3 aborted becuase of the high riska s well, said to skip amnio and terminate

Sadly am expecting ablow up soona s FIL took a phone call from BIL (first in 3 years, since FIL left) to say MIL and he had been tipped off to the pregnancy by someone who saw a post by DH on a website he uses.... not sure how that will play out yet. Especially if we have to tell her FIL's partner is to be a Godmother.

scampmum · 05/11/2007 16:20

Whoops, delayed post!

ToastAddict · 05/11/2007 16:23

Gosh Peachy, how awful
I can't imagine family being so unsupportive

scampmum · 05/11/2007 16:23

Grr, your MIL sounds like an absolute cow. Delayed hugs for your traumas!

Denny185 · 05/11/2007 16:34

Soph73 · 05/11/2007 16:39

PeachyCosmicExplosion · 05/11/2007 16:40

Ah Dh has the sense tor elaise and FIL and my parents more than make up for it

She did get invited on a This Morning special as the worst MIL in the UK PMSL.... Dh so should not ahve nominated her pmsl (shame I got the bleedin blame though)

ToastAddict · 05/11/2007 16:46

Peachy at This Morning!!
Hilarious!!!

Soph73 · 05/11/2007 16:49

Home time in a min so I shall love you and leave you all. Have good evenings. See you tomorrow

scampmum · 05/11/2007 16:49

That is brilliant! well done DH.

The nipple thing was way earlier in my last pregnancy if I recall - before I even knew (five weeks). Maybe because our 'summer' holiday was in Scotland it got an earlier chance to show itself...

VictorianSqualor · 05/11/2007 16:52

I DRINK WINE.

Well, I had a couple of glasses on friday after the kiddies halloween party. The only reason I hadnt until then was because I couldnt have managed it, even the thought of it made me feel sick.

With DS someone told me whisky made you go into labour so xmas day, at 39 wks I drank nearly a whole bottle of whisky in the desire to go into labour so as not to have to have another c-section, which was booked for the 29th. It didn't work.

I totally abstained from alcohol with DD yet drank a little every few weeks with DS and it was DD that had the problems!
I also ate peanuts with both of them, but havent done with this one yet.

smcg · 05/11/2007 17:10

Soph, I will have to get your dh to talk to my dh! I was only having a small glass not my usual bucketfull, so there is no harm in that, surely!

Peachy, your mil sounds like a nightmare.

My in-laws are nice but they are also miles away (often a bonus).

scorpio1 · 05/11/2007 17:12

my out-laws live about 300 miles away which is fine for me. they are not really my sort of people.

TheMaskedPoster · 05/11/2007 17:27

like the name change VictorianSqualor

My MIL lives about 10 miles away and is a godsend as my parents are on the other side of the world! (she is wonderful with dd and a very laid-back, easy to get along with sort of lady).

LOL @ the This Morning thing Peachy - was both ed AND ing when I read that!

VictorianSqualor · 05/11/2007 17:56

Finally!
some recongnition.

Piccalilli2 · 05/11/2007 17:56

Well while we're all in confessional mood - I'm drinking wine too! Only a small glass on a Friday or Saturday night, I really don't think it does any harm and it makes me feel better (helps with these blasted headaches too) so I positively refuse to feel guilty. I was addicted to peanut butter and dry roast peanuts with dd but haevn't felt like them this time, so I think the wine is my only vice at the moment. I sooo miss blue cheese though - I'm already fantasising about the pate and blue cheese I'm going to have the second I'm out of hospital.

PeachyCosmicExplosion · 05/11/2007 18:02

I've ahd a glas or two, and I had a small glass of cider shandy alst week- when I didnt know I was pg though I was camping (missed AF day after we returned) and drank loads!. Dh loves me to have a little- ie he gets to finish the bottle- nos elf interest there then LOL!

Mollyfloss · 06/11/2007 09:11

Hi all,

Just catching up again as usual. I'm 17 + 3 now and still haven't felt any movements. Should I be worried? I was at the Doctors at 16+3 and she heard the heartbeat and told me I would feel something closer to week 20 but so many of you have had movement already, it's a little worrying...

On the subject of alcohol, I have a friend who works in the champagne business and he invited a bunch of us to a champagne tasting on Friday (of all things!). I went along and even though I think it's probably ok to have a glass once in a while I just couldn't bring myself to drink more than a quarter of a glass. So then I thought I'd go wild on the canapés but of course they all had paté or soft cheese in them... so frustrating!!! The indian diner afterwards did make up for it a bit though

EllieG · 06/11/2007 09:15

Hurray it's not just me!
I have been eating peanuts too. But not cheese, mainly cos no one else likes runny cheese and so there's no point in buying it for the amount I could have.

My pie was SO SO yummy, by the way.

Have a really busy day today and makes me feel a little bit sad - plus am trying to have a no-chocolate day after weighing myself yesterday and nearly collapsing in shock (and because legs are obviously finding it hard to cope with the extra weight).

Soph73 · 06/11/2007 09:36

Morning all. I´m also eating peanuts. I can´t stand blue cheese anyway so that´s not a problem & I very rarely eat pate. Will get weighed next week at midwife´s - not really looking forward to that, although I lost weight last time

PeachyCosmicExplosion · 06/11/2007 09:38

I' allergic to dairy so cheese something ahve miosed for years rather than cant have now- still annoying though LOL, loved brie etc before this developed. never mind, hey?

Am 20 weeks today on the revised dates. HALF WAY!

Soph73 · 06/11/2007 09:41

mollyfloss - is this your first? If it is then I don´t think there´s anything to worry about & everyone´s different anyway and you´ve also heard the heartbeat so that´s a good thing Maybe your beanie is going to sleep lots for you when it arrives
