For want of a better title, I'll go with Inzi's

Well then, today has all been a bit of a blur for me so far. Dropped ds off at nursery, then went to see mw at 10.30, she did a sweep (wasn't that uncomfortable by the way) and then pronounced that she thought he might still be breech so sent me off straight to hospital for a scan. Got there at 11.30, had scan.... and he is breech because she did me a sweep they don;t want to leave me over the weekend, so I am going in for a cs tomorrow morning 8am my mind is all a whirl, thought I would let you all know, and then I am going to repack my bags now I know what's happening. Will probably be in hospital till monday/tues if there are no problems. So much to sort out and do this afternoon now, must get on, will catch up with you all later, hopefully you will find this thread ok

ChocolateHobnob · 07/10/2007 21:23

Hi Greedy-bananas rather than pineapples?!

Hi J20 - congratulations again! Sounds like a horrible labour and well done for getting through it. How is Shannon doing now? DD1 will settle down when she gets used to Shannon; it's just an initial jealous reaction and it isn't surprising really. Hope you get some rest tonight and start recovering energy a bit.

Muppet, I think it's so sweet how Oliver wanted Henry in his room!

Inzi and Muppet - I'm sure you'll both be very soon!

Apricott, Colly, etc, how are you all getting on?

greedygreedyguzzler · 07/10/2007 21:31

muppet if i knew where you lived...............!!!..........

i am not AT ALL fed up with being pg anyway!!! i love being huge and fat and uncomfortable.......it's FUN!!!!

choc - someone said it has to be 7 pineapples before it does anything........i dont think even i could manage that many!!!! i have been doing star jumps though!!!!! (my dad told me that one!!!)

steppemum · 07/10/2007 21:55

Hi everyone, I want to add myself to this thread. I am due 30th October. Baby number 3 (I have ds aged 4 and dd aged 2) I haven't come on before because it hasn't been a very straightforward pregnancy and until recently we were pretty sure the baby would be born with heart problems. (I couldn't face all the lovely normal mums I'm afraid) But now baby has been given the all clear, and our only problem is that it is sitting breach (baby has been head down until last week then turned hmmmmm.... ) so I might end up with an elective section.

It is lovely to hear of all the babies arriving safely, Congrats to everyone. I'll be here until the end of Oct as mine are always late... This thread is making me feel as if I am actually nearly there!

Apricott · 07/10/2007 22:31

Hi everyone

Congratulations Orangecat and Polarmummy!!

J20, be strong! Big ((((((((hugs))))))) coming your way. Sounds like you've had a real hard time of it. You will get through this no matter how shite you feel at times. Hope you get some decent sleep soon.

ejt - sorry to hear about the infection - all you need right now. Here's hoping it clears up quickly. Big ((((((hugs)))))) for you too.

Welcome steppemum

A x

unicorn · 07/10/2007 22:39

Hi all,
Welcome steppemum, must be a big relief for you re your lo.

J20,and (anyone else having problems) remember the mantra 'this will pass'... the early days are really hard, but it does get better (eventually!)

We are still no closer to sorting out names for this babe - am hoping it will be blindingly obvious once we see him/her - but if our past form is anything to go by it could take several weeks!

Take care all, and good luck for any overnight poppers!

ChocolateHobnob · 08/10/2007 06:43

Greedy, I'm not keen on pineapples at the best of times, so don't think I'll bother with that one when the time comes. Seven! Surely that would induce a nuclear explosion, never mind a baby.

Welcome Steppemum! I'm due 31 October, so our dates are similar (but as far as I know lo is head down!). Glad the complications are sorted and you can enjoy (enjoy!) the last few weeks of being fat and lumbersome.

Unicorn, how are you? how's the monitoring?

Apricott, hope you're doing okay as well.

J20, lots of hugs this morning, hope you've got your mum or someone there to help you, and it'll be easier today if DD1 is at school, hopefully.

Off to work in the dark. Lo has moved down again as I said, and my bump has tilted down and forward. This means I now have a vague semblance of hips (a semblance) but I'm starting to look cartoonesque in work clothes... like I'm about to pop any minute. (I'm not!)

Good luck for today for all of you with babes and without! x

muppetgirl · 08/10/2007 08:09

Morning all!

J20 -I hope you some rest last night and once dd is packed off to school, please will you go back to bed!!! Rest, rest, rest. (And no laminate floor laying x)

Stepmum - Sorry to hear of your stressful prgcy and glad you have joined us. I am due 5th nov but lo has always been big so I find out this wed if I am to be induced 2 weeks early -22nd oct ish. I want to be as I am carrying extra water to so I am HUGE and very uncomfortable.

Greedy - 7 pineapples??? Eugh. That is desperation indeed for me as I can't stand them!

Well, Ollie came into our bed this morning after dh had left for work so we had a bit of a chat about Henry and he want to show him how to do press ups -oh, how the mind of a 3.6 year old works!- and keeps kissing my bump. I only hope this affetion lasts as soon as Henry has woken him up in the night

Alice/all those with more than 1 -does the second one wake the first one up?

We are going to have a lazy day here, finishing off irong for lo, Ollie can watch telly all day (bad mum, bad mum) as I really can't do anything vaguley physical anymore and it's rainning

Kittiwake · 08/10/2007 10:35

Hi everyone

Massive congratulatios to J20, Orangecat and Polarmummy. Not that many of us left now reallly.

Hello to stepmum

Hobnob are you still working don't know how you are managing to keep going, when do you finish?

My little one feels realy low down now hope something happens soon I'm 39 weeks today so could happen anytime I guess.

Muppet Ollie sounds so sweet that's so cute about the press ups

How's everyone else doing today?

muppetgirl · 08/10/2007 11:18

Hi Kittiwake
we're at home today and just off to make scones but I forgot to get the butter out of the fridge so it's rock hard!

39 eh? Anytime now then

greedygreedyguzzler · 08/10/2007 14:27

steppemum - hiya and welcome!! glad your lo has now been given the all clear. i have a ds age 4 and a dd age 2 as well and this one was due 8 days ago! (mine are always late too!!!) but not normally this late!!

muppet girl - my second (dd) one NEVER woke my first (ds) one up!!! not until they started sharing a bedroom when friends come to stay and they were much bigger anyway!!! i was amazed that ds never heard dd crying cos he is a light sleeper.......but its amazing what they sleep through!!! hoping they both sleep through this lo crying too!!

kittiwake - i hope for your sake something does happen soon, but i was 41 wks yesterday, so dont get your hopes up too much!!! someone else has to go overdue on this thread!!!

Apricott · 08/10/2007 15:35

All v quiet on here today.

My waters broke in the night! Had a few mild contractions. Went back to sleep eventually. was naturally v excited. But nothing since. Nothing. Nothing. Currently waiting for midwife to come round to check everything's ok.

I guess it can't be long now. I'm just feeling very frustrated at the moment.

Hope you're all ok.

Will be in touch...

xxx

muppetgirl · 08/10/2007 15:40

Good luck apricott!!

Collywobbles · 08/10/2007 15:48

Hi Everyone - back from my parents now and pleased to be online again! I can't believe it, I was only gone for a few days and everyone's had their babies!!

Congratualtions Alicet, Mrs Fish, J20, Orange and Polar!! Sorry if I've missed anyone - too much to catch up on from nearly a whole week away!

I've been feeling v sorry for myself as I've had some nasty flu bug for a week now. I just can't seem to shake it. My throat kills and I can't stop coughing which is taking my last few ounces of energy. I don't think I'd have any left to push if I went into labour now..

Winnie - sorry I didn't get online to post your text the other night. There's no internet at my parents. I hope you're doing ok?

kiansmum · 08/10/2007 16:17

Hi Ladies,
Hope you and lo's are all ok and well done and congrats to all who have delivered!

Lisa- I noticed you said previously that Jasmine is tongue tied. My ds2 is aswell and i wondered what should be done about it.
He is 1 on Saturday and i haven't noticed it being a problem for him as he still tries to talk etc. What advice have you been given?
Thanks.

j20baby · 08/10/2007 16:41

hi all, sorry just a quickie, had a hard night and not even managed to fit a nap in today, well, i fell asleep but th phone woke me after 10 min, sorry, noy really got the energy to type much else.

poor greedy enjoy being able to put your feet up and go to the loo without crying!! or try a couple of senokot washed down with a gin sling tonight, worked for me!

muppetgirl · 08/10/2007 16:55

Hi j20!
Sorry to hear about your hard night, I hope tonight is better. How has dd 1 been?

Day 3 is the worst, then things should start to improve -blame those bloody hormones!

HonorMatopoeia · 08/10/2007 17:43

Hi ladies,
J20 - you sound exhausted, sorry to hear about complete lack of sleep. Hope it is getting better and Dd1 has 'calmed down' a little bit too.
Congratulations to any new mummies I've missed (still scanning the thread whenever I can kick DH off the laptop!).
Last consultant appointment today and we now discover this lo is breech . She's bloomin' turned round in the last five weeks! Just as well I went for the section option then really! Gtt tests came back negative though so that is great news.
Got to run again, take care all x

suzi2 · 08/10/2007 19:59

Just lurking... looking for inzidoodle! I believe you used to go under another username that was very close to your first name? If so, just wanted to say Hello... I'm in the same village as you and we both know Sus & Amber. drop me a note at [email protected] if you want me to be less cryptic lol

suzi2 · 08/10/2007 20:00

Oh, an congrats to all the October ladies that have popped! I hope you enjoy your LOs. And sympathies for those waiting...

alicet · 08/10/2007 21:11

Hello ladies! Sorry will be brief post as my boobs are required - dh holding Adam at bay with a finger but he's getting a little frantic...

Greedy - yes doing much more this time round! You're spot on that babies are the easy bit apart from the sleep deprivation! Thinking of you and hope you pop soon!

Apricott - good luck! Thinking of you! At least you'll have your lo in the next 2 days if your waters have gone....

Someone mentioned tongue tie? Sam was tongue tied and I was advised that it only needed to be dealt with if there were probs with speech or feeding. We had it divided at about 9 months though (just under loacal anaesthetic) as we didn't want to wait for thim to have speech probs and need a general anaesthetic. Ask for your gp to refer you to and ENT specialist to discuss it. And Lisa if you are bf get it sorted asap - whie they're little they don't even need LA and it is a major reason for people not to mange - I only managed with nipple shields!

Can't reember what everyone else said but I'm thinking of you and hope to back on soon! Off to feed my hungry son....

ChocolateHobnob · 08/10/2007 21:33

Hi all

I'm shattered too without the excuse of a lo depriving me of sleep so a quick post from me too!

Hi Colly - hope you feel better soon.

Apricott - are you in labour yet?? V exciting.

Muppet, I love how Ollie's mind works!

Alicet, you seem to be coping amazingly. Adam sounds like a hungry little boy. Hope he sleeps a bit more tonight...

And J20, hugs - hope Shannon has a good night and you too. You deserve it!

Work was fine today and we negotiated the inlaws, who predictably created a fuss initially and wore me out. Now am tired and just ready to sleep, really. Working here tomorrow, so should get chance of a nap or two - I need one!

Have a good night and GOOD LUCK APRICOTT AND J20 (for different reasons!).
