For want of a better title, I'll go with Inzi's

Well then, today has all been a bit of a blur for me so far. Dropped ds off at nursery, then went to see mw at 10.30, she did a sweep (wasn't that uncomfortable by the way) and then pronounced that she thought he might still be breech so sent me off straight to hospital for a scan. Got there at 11.30, had scan.... and he is breech because she did me a sweep they don;t want to leave me over the weekend, so I am going in for a cs tomorrow morning 8am my mind is all a whirl, thought I would let you all know, and then I am going to repack my bags now I know what's happening. Will probably be in hospital till monday/tues if there are no problems. So much to sort out and do this afternoon now, must get on, will catch up with you all later, hopefully you will find this thread ok

Good luck inzi! Hoping your continued absence means good news for you!

Colly and kit think you both have inductions today? Good luck!!!

Big hugs to the rest of you....

Good to hear from you db and sorry you are feeling low. I guess if you are a week over you will be meeting your lo in the next week by one way or other so not long to wait!

Has anyone heard from muppet? She has been conspicuous by her absence....

detsy · 03/11/2007 14:01

Hi DB - don't be down hun, I'm 10 days over with exactly the same symptons as you - i know its a real bummer when you think you are on your way and then everything stops! I've now resorted to homeopathy as really don't want to be induced on Monday but guess we have to accept that may have to happen!!

Still finding it hard to assoc the bump with a real baby which is part of the frustration i think.

It also starts to feel a bit "lonely" as people disappear off to meet their babies and we're still here

Still either way - won't be long for either of us and still a good few hours for things to get moving properly...fingers crossed.

Take care and be smiley - good things are coming your way very very soon!!

xx

Hi Alice and Detsy - thanks for the good wishes... been doing quite well and being philosophical until today - maybe it's something about hitting 41 weeks, suddenly I'm all teary and depressed - plus despising myself for feeling that way!

It's just SO uncomfortable now... I feel the size of a house and keep inagining the LO getting bigger by the day while my 5ft frame doesn't...

But I'm glad I checked back - even if there's only a couple of us left ...

Like you say Detsy, there's still a few hours before D-day - maybe we'll be rewarded for our long wait with a short painless labour .

Perhaps we've been in labour for days without realising it and are both already 4cm or something...

Right, before I disappear off further into the realms of fantasy I shall go and do some very real ironing.

Hugs to you both, and others (im)patiently waiting...

DB
xx

Hello, just ducking in to wish the last few of you good luck with your births and babies. I was the last on the June thread, very lonely it was too!

But 13 days late and she popped out, after A LOT of false starts and 5 sweeps, with the easiest birth imaginable.

So good luck everyone! We are watching and waiting!

ChocolateHobnob · 03/11/2007 18:00

Hi DB and Detsy, and Kit, and anyone else still around...

I'm 40+3 today and also feeling enormous already - worrying baby is going to get bigger and bigger! I guess we have to just be patient and think we'll meet our los soon...

Been to see my grandmother today and had lunch out in an attempt to make the most of couple time before we can't take off and out so easily. And tonight is the X factor, so am quite cheerful. I imagine by next weekend I will be horrendous though.

Here's to easy and imminent labours for all!
