@Lilice @ShiningStarz not constant but so far it's been today anytime I move. Like a shooting pain deep in the cervix!

So glad he's moving @ShiningStarz !

emma278 · 09/07/2020 09:33

Hi all, hope everyone is ok. Sorry im just catching up, its all go in our house at the mo having everything ripped out and a wall taken down to make a new kitchen diner. I must be mad! 31 weeks today! X

Lilice · 09/07/2020 09:34

@ShiningStarz glad baby has moved, maybe getting ready to turn head down.
@CNovittBolden ohh doesnt sound fun. I hope i wont get that. Im already in so much pain with a scietica and have to wait over a week to be seen by my osteopath.

Lilice · 09/07/2020 09:35

@emma278 it will be worth it when it's all finished. Did they say how long the works will take?

emma278 · 09/07/2020 09:48

@Lilice hopefully only 3-4 weeks more so pre baby if it stays put long enough! X

ShiningStarz · 09/07/2020 10:36

@emma278 wow that's a lot! That's what our pain is too!! We are holding off though now for a year!! Maybe start it next summer when I'm on mat leave. Sounds like it'll be fab!!

LatteLover12 · 09/07/2020 11:38

Solidarity @emma278 we're in the middle of doing our house too and I cannot wait for it to be over so I can start making a little home for baby!

Smilymami · 09/07/2020 13:03

@ShiningStarz I also had a scan at 30wks+2dys and baby was exactly same weight 3lb 2oz, have another next week when I'd be 32weeks. I'm hoping to see a chubbier baby... I'd rather have an average size baby than a big one though, for the sake of my pelvis. Lol

ShiningStarz · 09/07/2020 13:32

@Smilymami the scan measured me at 30 +4 and I'm down as 31 weeks based on my EDD. Our weights are identical for the time!! I have another in 2 weeks and then 2 weeks after that so really hoping little one is nearer the 4lb mark by then (end of July)🤞

sianyflewog · 09/07/2020 14:53

Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been quiet - we’ve been decorating our little boys bedroom, and I’m pretty much exhausted the rest of the time! Bit annoyed that I’ve ordered some expensive oak furniture and it’s held up because one of the items is out of stock and they want to deliver it all together. Can’t do the nursery until he moves rooms!
Had a follow up private scan today, and found baby is currently frank breech. Would explain my dreadful heartburn - I’m sick whenever I lie down 😞 Hope everyone’s feeling well! Xx

Laura1348 · 09/07/2020 15:40

Good news some hospitals local to me me (well Essex way) are changing their maternity policy.
Sadly this is not my hospital and this was stolen from my antenatal wassap group but it looks like it may be moving in the right direction...🤞🤞🤞

@Laura1348 that's great, thanks for sharing. That's my hospital!

Laura1348 · 09/07/2020 16:30

@Lilice one of the antenatal teachers confirmed the info is on website too so I hope I'm 100% right.
I just hope my hospital does the same! Probs going to be induced 😩🤞

Lilice · 09/07/2020 17:13

@Laura1348 hopefully your hospital will follow soon 🤞 why will you be induced (8f you don't mind me asking)
Are you doing antenatal classes with the nhs? I asked about them when I last saw my midwife and waiting to hear back

Chanel05 · 09/07/2020 17:13

@Laura1348 I'm in Essex but this doesn't cover my hospital either. Fingers crossed.

Laura1348 · 09/07/2020 17:24

@Lilice
Loads of reasons- age/IVF/ medical history amongst other stuff.
I'm doing my classes through Suffolk babies. It's free- 10 classes to attend via zoom or they are recorded. On class 5 and I really like them.
They also do loads of other stuff- watched an intro to breastfeeding course yesterday that was great. They also do hypnobirthing- am yet to investigate.
Take a look at the website.

@Chanel05 fingers crossed for you too.

sianyflewog · 09/07/2020 17:34

Oh this is fab news. Hopefully the rest of the country will have followed suit by September!

Lilice · 09/07/2020 17:36

@Laura1348 thank you, ill definitely check out the website. I'm also interested in the breastfeeding course.
@Chanel05 🤞

ShiningStarz · 09/07/2020 18:41

@sianyflewog snap with the frank breech altho think our little one is just breech now but moved to the other side!!

NI hospitals are letting partners into appts now. It was so lovely having my partner with me at yesterday's appt.

Breastfeeding courses great! I'm starting the hynobirthing one tnite 😊

Hey! Me again.
Anyone got any advice on baby sling? Also looking at getting a Ewan the sheep- anyone got any advice?

Thanks

sianyflewog · 09/07/2020 21:52

@Laura1348 We had the original Ewan the sheep and I loved it - the sounds are all so relaxing! However, it does turn off after 20 minutes! They now do a deluxe version which I believe has a sensor so if baby stirs, it kicks back in which is much better.
We have a MyHummy bear which this baby will inherit - it has the same idea, plays white noise for an hour when you first turn it on, and then works on a sensor for 12 hours afterwards and kicks in when baby stirs. It’s fab. My son is 3 and has only just stopped using it - he started turning it off when he got into bed at night. The sounds are more white noise static than the lovely noises from Ewan though.

Laura1348 · 09/07/2020 21:59

@sianyflewog
Thanks. Will take a look at the deluxe and the MyHummy bear. Obviously worth it if using up to 3.
Thank you

ShiningStarz · 09/07/2020 22:23

@Laura1348 I got the snuz cloud free with the snuz pod. Have seen mixture of reviews on it. It plays white noises etc but it doesn't turn back on if baby stirs etc..I'm hoping it'll work as will save me buying one!!
