Today is my last day of work!!! Monday is the official start of maternity leave !!! I'v a busy first week sorting out bits and pieces for our house renovations, got a 36 week appt on wed. Thinking from week 37 it'll be time to sit back, relax, try the colostrum harvesting and enjoy the final few weeks!!

@shiningstarz ooh enjoy your last day! I've got today and next week off I'm so happy! Washing machine is on and finally started prewashing reusable nappies and baby clothes!

Can't believe some of you are almost full term there will be babies before you know it! I'm 33 weeks today!

I’m off today and Monday too! So pleased! Really feel like I need a rest. My tooth ache seems to be getting worse so i’m waiting for another call back from the dentist ☹️. Hoping they’ll give me some antibiotics as that worked last time.

I’ve stocked up on lollys for the heatwave and am trying to keep all the doors and windows shut with the curtains all closed for the moment as it’s still quite cool in the house currently! I don’t want to let the hot air in haha!

@ShiningStarz enjoy your last day! I finish in 2 weeks and cant wait!!

@MooseWL hope all the washing goes ok. I did all the washing a few weeks ago and there was mountains of it!

I'm just in hospital at the moment doing a GTT test, sitting waiting around for 2 hours. Between blood tests, midwife appointments, consultant appointments, and this, I've hardly actually been at work this week anyway!

Major update from us: Wren came home yesterday! Finally out of NICU and getting started on family life, very excited to do normal parent things - almost even excited for the sleepless nights!

@MooseWL I'm doing the last bits of washing today, it will dry in no time ☺

I'm going to buy a replacement mattress for the moses basket. My old one has foam inside and a plastic layer on the outside. Never looked comfortable but quite handy to wipe vomit or nappy leakage. I had a look on amazon and the ones I see have a removable fabric cover. Has anyone had any experience with them? They look so much more comfortable than the plastic I have, but are they practical?

Thanks everyone! So thrilled to have him home now. Lovely to just wake up with him there.
Although now he is home, does anyone have any tips on dogs and babies? We have a Jack Russell who’s mainly ignoring him so far anyway but finds the baby squeaks a little over stimulating. He’s fantastic with toddlers but this is the first time he’s meeting an actual baby

@Sara7455 I have a cat and I'm nervous about how the cat will react to the baby!! I'm more worried about cat sneaking into warm and cosy baby in Moses basket!!! Will have to keep a very close eye on both cat and baby lol

@HugeAgeGap he looks in his direction the same way he looks at a toy he’s waiting for you to throw for him (sits, really wags his tail and stares at him looking slightly crazy if that makes sense).
