@Lilice sorry, meant to tag you below.

ChipsAreLife · 04/08/2020 22:24

Oh bless you @Lorna198 you must be climbing the walls?! I really hope you can get home soon 🤞 do you have access to Netflix or anything?!

@LatteLover12 snap. I hate hospital food, I have real issues with it lol. Going to take some of those porridge pots you add water to I think.

You guys are putting me to shame with your bags! I'll do my weekend after next I think. I wouldn't worry about breast pads I only used them after my milk came in which took a few days. You could take a couple but you wouldn't need a box. I'm going to take pampers size 1, prob about 12 as I may be in for two nights so that should more than cover me. If you run out of things someone can always drop some more off.

I'm so tired today plus I can't stop eating!!! Feel like a bottomless pit.

Morning girls, I had my eye on one of these keepsake boxes from Argos but spotted this one on jo jo site for same price but it's bigger and cuter. Just if anyone is looking. Have a nice day 😊 I'm off to the diabetic clinic this morn !!

Started on a little insulin before main meals from today. Should have no affect on earlier delivery so it's all good, I think!! I don't want to be induced any earlier so here's hoping 🤞

OrDis · 05/08/2020 15:27

Ah good news @ShiningStarz! Hopefully will all be ok and you won’t need to be induced early.

I’ve got a bit of toothache going on today 😩. Well I think it’s probably the gum over my impacted wisdom tooth thats got a bit infected. Rang the dentist and they are giving me some thingy to clean it with... hopefully it won’t get any worse. It’s tolerable at the moment but I flippin hate toothache. Poor baby’s it must be awful for them when they are teething- good job we don’t remember it!!

Lilice · 05/08/2020 16:19

Thanks @Chanel05 I think I'll do like you and get a small pack, just in case. I tried to get my bounty pack from boots today, cause if I remember well there is a nappy in it as a sample, but they were out of stock and just one wouldn't be enough anyway.
@ShiningStarz that's a lovely keepsake box. Did you get your lampshade by the way? Are you happy with it?
@OrDis I hope your toothache goes away soon. It's a good thing babies don't remember the first few years haha!

ShiningStarz · 05/08/2020 16:30

Hope you are ok @OrDis toothache is pants :(

@Lilice I picked up the lampshade, looks lovely but don't have it up yet!! Still decorating the nursery.
I need to ring boots as I got accepted onto the parenting club but can't register cause there's a problem with boots card!! The next free gift is miniature child's farm products. I'd say the hospital will give you size 0 if required to begin with, 🤞

pangolin84 · 05/08/2020 18:45

@Lilice I got my Bounty pack from Asda and there was a pack of nappies and a pack of wipes in there.

LatteLover12 · 05/08/2020 18:47

Ladies I've totally overdone it today and I'm in so much pain 😭

I decided I'd get some emulsion on the stairs and take my boys and the dog for a walk at the local national trust place. My God, I can barely breathe, I'm such an idiot!

Baby is moving fine and my eldest is home from football training now but I think I've learned my lesson - definitely time to slow down.

LatteLover12 · 05/08/2020 18:50

@ShiningStarz I've had a nightmare trying to sign up to the parenting club! I just can't get it to work. Grr!

Emmy2020 · 05/08/2020 19:55

@LatteLover12 Bless you, it’s hard when you feel you have so much to do and to entertain the kids too. You’ve done loads! Have a nice restful evening and take it easy!

Lazydaisydaydream · 05/08/2020 19:56

@LatteLover12 yeah I didn't think it was possible to slow down anymore than I already had, but I'm going to have to save my back is so sore now and all underneath my bump. I've got a consultant appointment tomorrow so hoping they'll be able to suggest something to help!

36 weeks today Shock

LatteLover12 · 05/08/2020 20:08

Thanks ladies, to top it off I've just seen my exh has reduced his maintenance payment because he bought our youngest a pair of shorts last week. He's taken £20 off!!

He's such a dick 😡

Lilice · 05/08/2020 20:32

Yay @pangolin84 that's perfect, ill try asda tomorrow.
@LatteLover12 hope you manage to get some rest

UrsulaSings · 05/08/2020 21:35

Blimey I've not been on here for a couple days and theres over 100 messages! Couldnt look through them all it takes too long to read, I started but been reading through for about half an hour!

I've bought some nursing tops go whoever asked about that, but tbh they dont seem v comfortable. They're really chunky! I'll see how it goes, but just aware that it might still be quite hot at the beginning of sept so didnt want to have to wear a vest and a top. Also my boobs are huge already. Before pregnancy they were a 36DD/E, and now they've gone to a 36G Shock and thsts before they go massive when my milk comes in Confused which I am not looking forward to. I used to love my boobs but I hate my massive baggy boobs now!! So just pulling a top to the side isnt really an option because there just isnt enough space!!

@LatteLover12 that's been me recently as well. Wemt on a long walk along the river near Symonds Yat and completely fucked myself up. Genuinely thought I was getting contractions or something but I think the little bugger was lying on a nerve. Since then I've hurt my pelvis and have to pull my leg in the car now, and keep getting this pain which is apparently called 'fanny daggers'. And the idiot that I am, I still was pulling out big chests today to clean the carpet and skirting behind them!!

I also have the consultant tomorrow and I'm hoping I'll be able to see the aneasthetist as well as I'm not actually booked in to see them until 39 weeks, which seems like its cutting it a bit fine to work out whether I need general aneasthetic or not if i have a cesarean? Anyway, we will see!

And congratulations on the birth of your twins!! That is so exciting!!

ShiningStarz · 05/08/2020 22:27

@LatteLover12 I did a good shop (2 places) last Sunday and literally was on my feet for 3 hrs. When I got home I fell asleep for 2 hrs, it really took it out of me!! I'm thinking after this weekend it's time for me to slow down. 35 weeks today :)

LatteLover12 · 05/08/2020 22:33

Thanks ladies, it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one who's starting to feel the strain.

Hope you all have a good night's sleep.

ShiningStarz · 06/08/2020 08:24

What do you get in the Asda/Tesco/boots bounty pack??
I downloaded the app but it's says once you activate it you have to be in the store and claim within 30 mins!!
Just wondering is Asda better or Tesco or boots pack?? Might as well get one !!

Lilice · 06/08/2020 08:51

@ShiningStarz i went to boots yesterday but they didn't have any. Im going to try asda today. To be honest, there is a lot of rubbish in it, a lot of vouchers and useless papers, but you also get free samples of products. You can wait to be in the shop to activate the voucher.

Lilice · 06/08/2020 08:52

the bounty packs are all the same. You can also get the emma's diary one, but that's from argos or boots

Emmy2020 · 06/08/2020 09:08

I got the bounty and Emma’s diary ones, just went into Boots and asked if they had them in first then activated it as soon as they told me they were in.
Soo many vouchers, but a few small samples. Although some of these bags must of been hanging about a while as a lot will be out of date by September! Best things I got was a travel tube of mama mio tummy rub scrub and a small sample of the mama mio scrub and cream, Id love to buy them but they are soo expensive so sticking with my bio oils!

Lilice · 06/08/2020 14:46

@Emmy2020 I saw some vouchers for mama mio in emma's diary but don't know if they're any good. Just tried to get the bounty bag from asda and it's also out of stock, so I give up

pangolin84 · 06/08/2020 18:07

@Lilice How annoying! I had the same problem trying to get the free Child’s Farm wash set and Mam bottle from Boots parenting club offer. None of the Boots in my area had them in stock. Then the offer ran out 😂

I feel like my bump has suddenly emerged over the past week (I’m 32 + 5). It’s hard to believe it’s going to get bigger! I’m frantically rubbing in the Bio-Oil morning and evening. No idea if it’s helping prevent stretch marks but it does smell nice and my belly skin is lovely and soft.

Emmy2020 · 06/08/2020 22:54

Is everyone ready for the heatwave??
I hope I can cope in this heat although I’m excited as I’m going on a weekend break to Cardiff with my best friend tomorrow 😊😊

Lorna198 · 06/08/2020 23:00

@Emmy2020 I’m surviving just lol have a great weekend!
@Lilice Yeah he’s allowed an hour everyday which is good. Goes fast tho!
@ChipsAreLife yeah I’ve got plenty to keep me occupied. Thank god for phones lol
