Congratulations @Bubble29 so glad you are all ok ❤️

I’m still in hospital. Day 5 and not much change, blood pressure readings are still a little all over but I cross my fingers daily I might get home soon!

ChipsAreLife · 04/08/2020 07:01

@Piper1879 I'll be honest ... my EMCS recovery was very tough but I got sepsis in labour so was fighting that as well as a long failed labour. I didn't feel normal for about 8 weeks. My ELCS was so much better, yes pain is bad for a good few days / week. But I was walking to parks and around farms a week or so later.

I would speak to consultant and find out what an induction would look like? When would you be induced? Would they put a time limit on how long you labour for before you have a section etc? It's really hard as it's all unknown.

@LatteLover12 ah ok. I didn't seem to have that problem although I probably have too many clothes 😬 it's hard as you can't wear as many dresses but as we will be heading into winter that's less of a bother I guess.

That's tough needing a dress so soon after. Tiffany Rose do occasion nursing wear but it's expensive, worth a look as may have a sale! Or maybe a nice top and skirt could be an option?

@ShiningStarz dairylea triangles are my current addiction!!!! 🤭 yes absolutely fine! I think the main thing to avoid is liver, soft cheese, cured meats, booze, raw meat etc. It always makes me laugh when they list random fish you can't have. I've found it so hard going without shark and marlin for 9 months 🤣🤣🤣 x

@Bubble29 - just catching up on the thread, congratulations! Wonderful news then little ones are here and doing so well!

OrDis · 04/08/2020 08:12

I miss Steak. I know I could have it well done but I like it medium rare. We are going to our favourite bbq place that has just reopened next week and they do a lovely steak and i’m very sad I can’t eat it.
Also any kind of cured meat mmmm. Can’t wait!

Lazydaisydaydream · 04/08/2020 08:15

@LatteLover12 I'd definitely look at a skirt and top as an option, really easy then just to lift the top up - most people won't even realise you're feeding! I wore this set to one

If you look at the "co-ord sets" section on sites you'll get some ideas. I also wore a dress like this to a wedding and it was really easy to feed in - I just lay a muslin across the top of my chest so that I didn't feel too exposed.

Or if you want a nursing specific one Tilbea have some nice dresses which could easily be dressed up for a wedding?

Lazydaisydaydream · 04/08/2020 08:19

@OrDis we're going out for steak for my birthday next week and I'm planning on compromising and having it medium... I'd normally have it rare so that's a big concession for me haha.

Sara7455 · 04/08/2020 09:38

@Lorna198 how are you doing today? Sorry to hear you’re still in hospital

ShiningStarz · 04/08/2020 09:42

@ChipsAreLife 🤣

ShiningStarz · 04/08/2020 09:46

@LatteLover12 wrap dresses are fab!! Like this, not maternity so wouldn't have to cost a fortune. Or shirt dresses are so gorgeous too :)

ShiningStarz · 04/08/2020 11:42

Haha @LatteLover12 wraps are great for that :)
I got all of mine for various weddings from accessorize or monsoon and they cover up great!!

ShiningStarz · 04/08/2020 11:43

@LatteLover12 I'v a wedding in dec, just after Christmas !!! Think I'll have 3 months to get my butt into gear haha

LatteLover12 · 04/08/2020 11:57

I was reading another thread yesterday where people were recommending the MUTU program? Looks doable but not till 12 weeks after my section and that'll be Christmas so I don't stand a chance! 😂😂😂

Lilice · 04/08/2020 13:41

Oh @Lorna198 i hope you're ok and that you will be able to go home soon

@LatteLover12 ive never heard of the mutu program, what is it?

Lilice · 04/08/2020 13:45

@LatteLover12 ive litteraly just got an add about it pop up in my Facebook after typing the above message! Spooky 👻

CNovittBolden · 04/08/2020 14:09

Congrats @Bubble29 that's amazing news!!! So happy to hear that everyone is doing well!

I'm just reading everyone's posts about food and it's making me hungry!!! We ordered dominoes last night and I polished off a large pizza by myself... definitely blaming the baby for that 😳

ShiningStarz · 04/08/2020 14:32

So jealous @CNovittBolden I love dominoes!!! Can't have it now with the GD, it's defo up there on my list once this little wriggler arrives !!! Haha

MooseWL · 04/08/2020 14:46

@CNovittBolden I'm impressed with your effort 😂 love a dominoes but always regret it when I wake up so thirsty after.

This may sound odd but is anyone finding breathing more difficult! I'm feeling a bit like it's a proper effort to take deep breaths today. I can't decide if it's paranoia/anxiety from going out and seeing people a bit more and now I'm like omg corona (I literally have no other symptoms) or more likely the baby is bigger and moved positions and is squashing my lungs!

MatildaSoul · 04/08/2020 14:59

Just chipping into say that parma ham is my all time fave and can't believe i've gone 8 months without it 😡

Laura1348 · 04/08/2020 15:01

Black pudding is my most missed!

@MooseWL I have this breathing thing- raise both arms above your head and breath in- that helps me.

LatteLover12 · 04/08/2020 15:12

That is so weird @Lilice!

I'm definitely in need of taking deep breaths @MooseWL and it's worse at night. I think baby is taking up more space and squishing my lungs. I'm out of breath after going upstairs these days too.

I can't remember who said they were looking forward to Camembert but I've had some during pregnancy! Just check it's pasteurised and you're good to go!

I'm looking forward to that first glass of cold white wine once baby is here and not having to have my steak well done!
