@glasha87 hello welcome back!
Can't believe we are all in or nearly at the 3rd trimester now, this last few weeks has flown!
@shiningstarz I've pretty much got everything except bits I'm hopefully getting from my cousin once she can travel to see me (she's in wales). Still got to arrange the nursery and everything though and get my new bathroom! It's probably going to be all last minute rush as usual with me!
@CNovittBolden we have the same due date!
Is the gap growth chart where they plot on your fundal height from the bump? My midwife did mine last week at my 25 week appt and its in my book. She said they'll do it every appointment now and if they go over or under a certain percentile on the graph they'll send me for scans. Have you had f2f appointments?

Laura1348 · 22/06/2020 20:09

Has anyone used/ got recommendations for a good birthing ball or would a gym
Ball do the same thing?
Many thanks

Cox2020 · 22/06/2020 20:18

@Chanel05 6 September 💛

ShiningStarz · 22/06/2020 20:21

I'v been looking at small nursery roomA for ideas on Pinterest. Many of the photos have nursing chairs in them! I'v never thought about a chair for feeding. Any thoughts welcome??

CNovittBolden · 22/06/2020 20:40

@MooseWL hi due date buddy!

I've had quite a few scans as they're worried about growth due to some medication I'm on. But she said the gap grow chart plots baby's size and looks at it compared to your own height. I'll have mine start at my 28 weeks - so much to learn!!!

Lilice · 22/06/2020 21:58

@ShiningStarz i was going to get one, but im going to keep the baby in my bedroom for the first few months and feed in my bed, or downstairs on the sofa during the day. I think the chair will come in handy when I move the baby to her/his room

Lilice · 22/06/2020 22:00

@ChipsAreLife oh my god! Did she have a csection??

ShiningStarz · 22/06/2020 22:34

Just seen this

m.youtube.com/watch?v=TCvK30PpVrs

Looks cool

ChipsAreLife · 22/06/2020 22:47

@Lilice no!!! 😱 she's probably a bit taller than average maybe 5"7/5"8 but slim. I thought she was looking big when I saw her Friday 🙈 going to buy her some nice wine 🤣

OP posts:
Lilice · 22/06/2020 23:31

@ChipsAreLife wow she's a warrior 💪I bet she'll reay appreciate the wine!

Lilice · 22/06/2020 23:34

@ShiningStarz looks cute but the blanket so close to the face when sleeping makes me nervous.

@CNovittBolden we also have the same due date 😉

ShiningStarz · 22/06/2020 23:37

@Lilice I was thinking about a car cotton blanket for car seat which has the holes all
In so fits in car seat and then can wrap around baby as opposed to using loose blankets which can be kicked off. Guess I'm thinking about Nov-Mar when it'll prob be freezing!! 🤔

Lilice · 22/06/2020 23:45

@ShiningStarz yes that's a good idea, like a footmuff ?

ShiningStarz · 22/06/2020 23:47

Yeah @Lilice but nothing too warm as I'd be worried about over heating. Happy to hear from anyone that has tried and tested something that's recommended. Jo jo manan Bebé have one their site:

Exciting day on the NICU as Wren has come off the ventilator and is back on CPAP breathing by himself now his infection is all cleared up. Hoping he stays nice and stable overnight now and we can carry on making progress!

@ChipsAreLife my BP plummeted when they did the spinal as well but the anaesthetist gave me an injection of something when she spotted it happen and it solved everything pretty much straightaway. She did joke that clearly the spinal was all they needed to fix my BP issues - definitely not an approved treatment plan, ha!

@ShiningStarz my friend swears by the tuppence and crumble fleece star blankets for winter - they can wear them in the pram and the material means they’re also safe to wear in the car seat unlike the big padded pram suits so they stay cosy and warm without you having to do an outfit change between pram and car seat. Definitely planning on using the same for Wren.

Laura1348 · 23/06/2020 07:43

I git an Aden and anais blanket in the sale- I was going to use that for my baby boy. Now I'm
Thinking it may be too much?

glasha87 · 23/06/2020 08:15

@HugeAgeGap absolutely the safest and most sensible - I’ve read of so many instances where the cervix hasn’t dilated due to scarring. We have to do, what we have to do!

11 year olds are funny little things! He’ll come around once the littlest member is here.
My brother was 11 years older than me too and I absolutely idolised (and terrorised) him - he was fantastic with me and less than thrilled to find out my mum was expecting.

I really must start buying stuff for my little one. I have the impetus to now seeing all the lovely suggestions.

Battling with pregnancy insomnia at the moment so plenty of time to shop 😫 Is there anyone else experiencing this? I didn’t anticipate it until much later 🙈

Thanks @Chanel05 !

And thanks for doing the list - lots of team yellow! Going to be an exciting September full of babies and gender reveals 😊😊

Lazydaisydaydream · 23/06/2020 08:43

Ooo thanks for the list! Makes it feel really close haha.

@glasha87 they picked up the polyhydramnios at my 28 week scan (having growth scan as high risk for small baby... They did the same in my last pregnancy and he was 8lbs5 at term and also had polyhydramnios then!).

Yes my toddler very occasionally has a day where he doesn't nap and it kills me. He might not need the nap but I do 🤣.

@ShiningStarz my sister had one of those snuggl bundl things. She lives in a flat and found it really handy for carrying the baby upstairs etc as couldn't manage the pram so had to leave that in the foyer. I've got a tuppence and crumble blanket for the car seat. My son has been enjoying practising putting his doll in it haha. Think he's going to be a bit gutted when the baby comes and suddenly all the baby stuff he's been playing with becomes occupied! Going to buy him some doll versions I think so he can do it alongside me.

Lazydaisydaydream · 23/06/2020 08:45

Oh and can't remember who asked about nursing chairs, but we just have one of those Ikea poang chair and footstool which has been great. Nice low arms so easy to feed in etc. But to start with I just always fed him lying down in bed as meant I got more sleep that way Grin

OrDis · 23/06/2020 10:07

Some pretty high temps forecast for where we are this week. How are you ladies planning to try and keep cool? I’m already feeling it and it’s going to go up another 10 degrees!!

Laura1348 · 23/06/2020 10:07

Does anyone have any experience of being induced? Depending on next scan that is my plan for week 38😬😳

Laura1348 · 23/06/2020 10:07

Oh and I'm 💙 I forgot to add to my due date- sorry

NeuroMama · 23/06/2020 11:04

Hey all :) I am new around here - thought I better start doing some research now I'm nearly at my third trimester!
This is baby #1, due 26th Sept and team blue.
