Wev states doing up the nursery!!
Got an email to say pram and car seat arrives this fri. Flip now I know how much space you actually need for all this baby stuff!!! Haha!! No more room for my High heels 🙈

@Sara7455 how are you feeling??

Piper1879 · 10/06/2020 15:48

@Shiningstarz my nursery used to be my handbag room 😂 I took the plunge and I've been waiting for my snuzpod to arrive

ShiningStarz · 10/06/2020 15:54

@Piper1879 I'm waiting for my snuzpod too!!! So exciting!! Feeling so strange having almost everything bought 3 months before due date!! At least there won't be any last minute yet panicking !! Feet up and relax!! I'v seen a light shade I like in Argos but it's sold out, gorgeous grey with white stars and clouds

Sara7455 · 10/06/2020 16:11

@ShiningStarz I’m feeling ok thanks. BP better than it was but still not great. Had a scan this morning and baby is fine but consultant wants me to stay here for more BP monitoring while they figure out the right dose of meds to get it under control. Else I’ll be here until they can deliver baby, which is a terrifying thought!

ShiningStarz · 10/06/2020 16:36

Omg @Sara7455 hopefully they figure out your dose and you can get home. Glad they aren't in any rush to send you home though and sounds like they are keeping close eye on you.

Sara7455 · 10/06/2020 16:40

@ShiningStarz yes they’re being really careful. Said at least a few days in but that some trusts insist on you staying until you deliver so they may have to make that call. If I am allowed home then I’ll be back in every couple of days to double check I’m still ok so they’re obviously taking it very seriously!

ShiningStarz · 10/06/2020 16:42

@Sara7455 my sister in law had preeclampsia and she had to deliver her little one a few weeks early, she was only 5lbs but all was fine. It can be serious so best to be keeping a close eye on you. Hope your ok. Glad little one is ok, completely unaffected by what's going on 🤣🤣

emma278 · 10/06/2020 16:53

We finished the nursery decor yesterday and have the cot and changing table up too now! Its so surreal!!! 🥰🥰

Sara7455 · 10/06/2020 16:55

@ShiningStarz glad your sister in law and little one are both ok! It sounds very likely I’ll be having this baby early as well to be honest but they’ve started prepping for that with the steroids and so on so hopefully that’ll be ok too

ShiningStarz · 10/06/2020 17:03

Oh my gosh @emma278 send a pic!! Would love to see xx

ShiningStarz · 10/06/2020 17:03

@Sara7455 she's 9 now and doesn't stop talking lol 🤣🤣 they'll do what's best for you and baby xx

Sara7455 · 10/06/2020 17:06

@emma278 definitely send a pic! Would love to see it all set up!

@ShiningStarz excellent news, a friend had hers at 26weeks which just sounds terrifying but she’s now 6 and totally fine. Doctors will definitely do what’s best

MooseWL · 10/06/2020 17:40

Oh wow love that you're ready with the nursery. I guess I should start to order a pram/carseat and changing unit! I'm a last minute person! Need to start rearranging upstairs so everything can fit as the nursery is a box room and currently got my wardrobe in it!

We've decided to go for it with the bathroom, got someone in for a quote the other day and he can fit us in late July so at least that will be done!

Sara glad you're being monitored and they're taking it seriously. Fingers crossed you're allowed home!

emma278 · 10/06/2020 18:02

It still needs all the details as looks very bare. We have bought pics for the walls and ordered a rocking chair etc. Also we dont know babys sex so colour will come once born! But im pleased we have the shell!

@emma278 oh wow wow and wow!!! That is soo beautiful. I love the paint, carpet and furniture. Youv done a lovely job. Beautiful 💜

I have bought a changing station on wheels. It'll do for 6 months and then the plan is to buy the nursery furniture and cot nearer the time little one will need it. I'v decided to go grey and white too.

ShiningStarz · 10/06/2020 19:25

Ps @emma278 where is your cot from?
Our nursery is about the same width but not as long as yours so wev to make sure we buy a cot that fits. Yours is really lovely

emma278 · 10/06/2020 20:34

@ShiningStarz ahh thankyou. Its all silver cross. Im so pleased with it x

ShiningStarz · 10/06/2020 21:12

Anyone got the bugaboo changing bag. It comes with clips and attaches onto bugaboo neatly. It €89 (10% discount) on most websites. Looks roomy but flip it's pricey!!!!

Lilice · 10/06/2020 21:28

@ShiningStarz I know the light shade you're talking about! I saw it too and was gutted. There's a yellow version but I dont like it.
@emma278 wow I love your nursery, looks amazing
@Sara7455 how are you doing? Are you staying in tonight?

Sara7455 · 10/06/2020 21:40

@emma278 nursery looks lovely!! So exciting having it nearly ready to go!

@Lilice I’m doing ok but they’re struggling to get my BP under control so I’m likely here for another couple of nights. Doctor seems to think it can take a couple of day’s to get the combo of meds right. Midwives are being fab though and he said he’ll arrange for me to be consultant led going forward. They’re hoping to get to 34 weeks at least before they have to deliver so fingers crossed they can!

emma278 · 10/06/2020 21:42

Wishing you well @Sara7455 ! 34 weeks suddenly feels really close doesnt it 😱 xx

WillowT · 10/06/2020 21:59

@emma278 nursery looks fab!

Our spare room / new nursery is already painted a pale green so we've decided to stick to that. Might get a new carpet and then we've got some jungle animal prints for the wall and cream curtains! No furniture yet but we're being given a lot of second hand stuff from family so once we know what we've got, we'll buy the rest! Need a massive clear out first.....

Lilice · 10/06/2020 23:18

@Sara7455 hopefully quickly they'll find the right combo and you'll be able to get home soon. At least you know you're in the right place. I hope you're feeling all right and comfortable xx

Sara7455 · 11/06/2020 08:12

@emma278 34 weeks seems really close! Definitely not ready yet! Hoping I can go home for a bit so I can bark orders at OH for how the nursery needs to be in the meantime, ha!

@Lilice I hope so! Managed two normal readings in the night so improving. If I can stay stable for 24 hours then I’ll be allowed home for a bit so fingers crossed! It’s not too uncomfortable at least, I was getting pgp at home if I sat down and in the night and none here so beds must be pretty good! Just not the most restful environment being tested all the time.

ShiningStarz · 11/06/2020 08:39

@Lilice it's gorgeous isn't it!! Hoping it'll come back into stock next couple months!!

@Sara7455 oh my gosh it is very real now. They know what they are at tho, all very standard for them so I hope you are not worrying.
It's a huge reminder to us all to get our BPs done even with GP every few weeks.

@WillowT I love the sound of green. I haven't bought the grey yet so I could be swayed!! Think we are doing living room mocha with a darker mocha chimney breast so I feel better about some grey upstairs. My last house was grey everywhere 🙈 it just matches everything and so lovely clean n crisp!!
