@Mj2196 my Hb is 97, but my ferritin is also low, which is why they're doing an infusion as well. If that had been ok, I would just be on tablets. And yes to the constipation from them! I'd better get more lactulose in..

MJane3 · 14/05/2020 22:33

a fellow Midwesterner! @Rinoa I'm from Wisconsin! My family are really worried about not seeing the baby for ages with all the travel restrictions. Hoping they make it here in July

@MissisBee just another weird symptom to add to the list!

@BabyBird20 Aye get a sick note so you don't use up your mat leave! I did that last time. I was actually being low key bullied at work by one of the bosses and had gone for a checkup that detected high BP. Doc asked about work, I burst into tears and she signed me off there and then! I had a new job lined up so ended up never going back!

@Pegase Try not to worry. I think the MWs measure to the fundus, which is a specific bit of the uterus. You'd need to be fairly skilled to have the right spot and even then it's not an exact science. I've not been measured at all cause I'm a bit bootylicious at the best of times, but baby measuring perfect at 50th percentile.

@HayleyD84 Sending good vibes your way. Try not to worry (I know that's hard). An elective section is much different to an emergency so your likely to be feeling much better afterwards this time, and it's good that the hospital seem to be working to help as much as they can. I know it's not the same but when your Huz has to go home we'll all still be here for you thanks to the wonders of modern technology! Take care x

@Busylizzie85 ah ok that's reassuring as your
One day a head of me, I know they like to have soft bumps during pregnancy but didn't know if that was possible At this stage. I'm looking forward to waking up without a new worry everyday 😂 x

Magpiefeather · 15/05/2020 07:06

Had a rubbish day yesterday, felt so so exhausted (like the first trimester again!), could barely bring myself to do the basics. Feel a tad snotty and heady like I’m coming down with a cold or something, and could really feel baby burrowing on down into my pelvis (which I’m glad about obviously, just lots of fanny daggers!). Looked at my pregnancy notebook from last time and saw I felt exactly the same at this point in first pregnancy! So I guess that’s just one of those things for me. Anyone else have an extreme fatigue day?

@MJane3 hey neighbour! Yea my mom was supposed to stay with us for a few months before all this but I had to cancel her flight. 😞 I don't want her getting sick here. It sucks. I hope you have better luck ! Nice, we're due around the same time, I'm 37 today!

AnonyHB · 15/05/2020 07:38

I’m in a similar position @peetieswie - I’m a very small person (size 4-6, 7 stone, 5ft 1) pre pregnancy and have only put on 1.5 stone but the baby has gone from 50th centile at 28 weeks to above 95th for their abdomen at 34 weeks. Was told last week they estimate baby already 5lbs 15!!! So will be about 9lbs 9 at birth is grows at current rate. I’ve another scan at 37 weeks followed by consultant appointment to discuss and if baby still very big I’ll be having a section at 38+ as no way I’m pushing out a 9 pounder!! But the scans aren’t all that reliable and the tape measure measurement is even worse so try not to worry x

Mj2196 · 15/05/2020 07:50

@MissisBee my level was 7 , but no idea what my hb was . Have discovered the other tablets are for vitamin b12 though .
I’ve ended up on macrogol on prescription one a day work wonders!
Feel like a walking chemist 🤣

Busylizzie85 · 15/05/2020 09:24

Can I ask if any one still getting regular baby hiccups mine seems to be slightly different everyday but this morning I have noticed 2 episodes already? I am sure it's fine as everyone has told me it is but I guess I'm worrying even more now that baby is due any moment.

Gigitree · 15/05/2020 09:33

@Busylizzie85 I’m 34+2 and my baby gets hiccups at least 2 times a day so I assume it’s normal. I was told it’s a good thing as it’s getting their diaphragm ready for breathing.

I assume it’s normal for this to continue up until they are born. I have a midwife appointment today so I will ask and let you know.

Busylizzie85 · 15/05/2020 09:36

Thank you @Gigitree I'm just having anxiety issues now I think worrying about every little thing but it's so reassuring to be able to ask openly on this thread 😊

LillianFullStop · 15/05/2020 09:55

Have added you to the sheet @HayleyD84 Smile looks like you have a couple of due date buddies!

Happy 37w to @Rinoa and @Busylizzie85!

Sorry you had such bad care last time and so understandable you would be anxious. But it's great they are aware of your worries and hopefully will take extra good care of you this time around.

MsMiaWallace · 15/05/2020 09:57

Checking in guys, thanks for the link as I lost you!
@AmyMaria2 congratulations. He is lush! You did amazing. Bet you got that high of a lifetime afterwards!

Rinoa · 15/05/2020 10:11

Happy 37 weeks ladies! It's all happening very soon! 😬

Busylizzie85 · 15/05/2020 10:19

Another mile stone @Rinoa @LillianFullStop 😊

MissisBee · 15/05/2020 10:29

@Busylizzie85 DS had hiccups ALL the time when I was pregnant. Then he turned into a very hiccupy baby 😆

Busylizzie85 · 15/05/2020 10:32

Thank you @MissisBee that's good to know!

umabb · 15/05/2020 10:58

@Busylizzie85 still many episodes of hiccups for me on an active day! Overnight too sometimes. I've checked with everyone (fetal medicine specialists and midwives) all said normal :)

My midwife appointment today is cancelled and my last appointment with nhs will be on June 1st a growth scan when I'll see the midwife too and discuss birth plan - but by that point I'll be 38wk+1! 🤪

chocolate26 · 15/05/2020 11:03

@Busylizzie85 mine gets hiccups loads! Sometimes 3 times a day, especially if he/she is having an active day 😊 I have spoken to a lot of people about it and they have all said it's normal and a good sign.

Busylizzie85 · 15/05/2020 11:15

Thanks everyone that's really good to know! x

Babymaher · 15/05/2020 11:28

I had my first negative experience today and I just want to cry went for my 36 week growth scan (routine) and the sonographer was so rude I was in the scan for 5 mins no scan photos taken or given it was all rushed not really well explained she was tutting all the time because she couldn’t get baby’s head measurement because it was tucked so far down in my pelvis. All I got to see was baby’s heart beat and it’s femur bone. It’s a shit time for everyone especially with partners not allowed to go with you and then this was like the cherry on top of the cake for me today. Maybe I’m just being over hormonal and emotional but it’s just made me feel shit.

umabb · 15/05/2020 12:05

@Babymaher hugs! sounds very much like my last scan. 5 mins in and out. Heart, belly, head, leg, ok that's it! No questions properly answered whatsoever 🤪 hated it too.

Gigitree · 15/05/2020 12:09

@Busylizzie85 as I said I would, I checked with my midwife today and she said hiccups is totally normal throughout pregnancy all the way up to birth and typically if baby has routinely had hiccups in the womb they will hiccup when they’re in the outside world too, but it’s all totally normal and nothing to be worried about.
I also noticed a couple of times it felt like baby shivered and I’ve heard popping sounds a couple of times too, again she said it’s all totally normal. Just putting that out there in case anyone else has had this.
