welshmum · 18/10/2004 12:14

Bet it isn't! It's a long 9 months ahead!

MrsWednesday · 18/10/2004 12:15

Can you imagine what I'll be like if I get piles?

It doesn't bear thinking about...

popsycal · 18/10/2004 12:17

mrs wed - just hopping over from due in march thread.....
get yakult pro biotic stuff - that is the only thing that sorted me out

welshmum · 18/10/2004 12:17

I know I'm slightly worried about what's ahead. In retrospect I got off really lightly the first time around, suffered very little really. My GP mate informs me 'every pregnancy is different'

MrsWednesday · 18/10/2004 12:23

Let's hope this one is different only for good reasons - it could be even better than the last one. I also got off lightly with my DS, apart from a bit of bleeding in the early weeks, and fat feet and fingers near the end.

Thanks very much for the tip popsycal. They will be on my shopping list tonight.

muddaofsuburbia · 18/10/2004 12:35

MrsWed - Fybogel is also good - tastes like orange sand but it works!

MrsWednesday · 18/10/2004 12:40

Great, will try that too.

I'll be back at the end of the week complaining about having the runs.

(note to self: STOP TALKING BOTTOMS!!!!)

muddaofsuburbia · 18/10/2004 12:41

You'll be regular as clockwork before you know it [insert eeeeuuwwwww emoticon here]

LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 13:07

Hello Everyone I'm the most recent graduate from ttc 11. Just tentatively popping in here to say hello to you all. Still such early days, but 3 BFP's have made me believe it, 3 !! Plus feeling exhausted and a bit sick already!

I'm still mainly chatting on ttc 11 because I was too scared to leave, just in case, well, you know. I'm due on the 23rd June, or thereabouts. Will be my second, I have a dd who is almost 18 months.

Just wanted to get to introduce myslef before the thread got too long and no-one noticed me LOL

katzguk · 18/10/2004 13:09

hi lipstick and welcome, i think you'll find we're all a bit aprehensive at the moment just waiting for the weeks to count down!

MrsWednesday · 18/10/2004 13:13

Hello and welcome LipstickMum. Come in, sit down and share your worries here.

cab · 18/10/2004 13:22

Just popped in from the due May thread to say congratulations ladies!!!!!!!

LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 13:23

Yeah, I feel this is a better thread to be on now that the I am pg. Although I can understand where all the ttc-ers are coming from, I am now all and should probably moan about my tiredness and sickness over here, I doubt they'll give me much sympathy!

Anyone done more than 3 tests, 'just to be sure'?!!

teabelly · 18/10/2004 13:47

Hi there Lipstickmum - congratulations

I only did two BFP tests to be sure...but I had three BFN's because I couldn't wait until I was late to test

muddaofsuburbia · 18/10/2004 13:56

hi Lipstickmum - I was wondering when you'd pluck up the courage to come over here! We're all as paranoid as each other this early on, so we might as well haves somewhere to moan

I did one test when I was 4 days late. But I knew a week or so before I tested because I had none of my usual miserable AF symptoms plus I'm never late.

I've got one test left in the pack which I'm saving for when the real paranoia sets in - like if I have a no symptoms day. But I feel so crap at the mo, that everything must be ok so far. Still no sickness though, thank goodness - I hate chucking up!

Had m/c at 10 weeks with first pg and not many symptoms even from the test - just extreme tiredness and loads of imaginary ones. Hindsight helps now I guess.

welshmum · 18/10/2004 14:22

Hello Lipstick mum and congrats to you, hope everything goes really well. x

Yellowbelly · 18/10/2004 20:57

Hi everyone
I just found out last week that I am expecting our second child. We're both thrilled as we've been trying for 4 years, but I'm so nervous. Can anybody reassure me - I've been having a dull period-like ache all week on and off. Is this normal? I don't remember having it last time.

mrsflowerpot · 18/10/2004 21:02

Hi Yellowbelly

Congratulations! and snap - I've been having the same aches for two weeks (in fact I was convinced it was my period starting). I do remember them from last time though, and the midwife then said it's just everything stretching and moving around. It's not cramps or anything with me, just general achiness.

mrsflowerpot · 18/10/2004 21:06

Right, I'm joining in properly now! Booked my first midwife appointment today (have been putting off ringing doctor for the last week) - with my first pg I had to see the GP first but this time they're just sending me straight to the midwife at 10 weeks. That's 4 weeks off and it feels like forever...

How is everyone doing? any good symptoms yet? I'm feeling a bit washed out, bit emotional, sore boobs (but not as bad as last week, just sort of hyper-sensitive now). Actually doing exactly what I did last time and worrying about not having more symptoms - as if anyone really wants to be sick lol.

And I had forgotten the all-consuming obsessive analysis of every twinge and feeling that goes on these first weeks. Am turning into certifiable nutter.

Yellowbelly · 18/10/2004 21:12

Hi Mrs Flowerpot
Thanks for the reassurance. Sure you couldn't hear me heaving the sigh of relief from there!
Cheers and congrats to you too!

LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 21:25

Hi Yellowbelly, I'm the same with the cramps. I had them with dd for about the 1st 8 weeks (seemed like longer!) Initially I thought I was getting my period and that obviously never came... I am getting them a bit so far this time round. Only tested last week, so it's still early. It's normal, just a bit weird and makes you panic, A LOT! As if we don't have enough to worry about during pregnancy!

Thanks for all the welcomes

Considering I only just tested, I am already exhausted!! Am wondering if I'm just imagining it, or is the tiredness here already!!? Anyone else feel shattered?

mrsflowerpot · 18/10/2004 21:28

completely knackered, LipstickMum! Will be off to bed in a mo (unheard of for me). Have been falling asleep while dh has all lights and TV on for a couple of hours longer. Actually come to think of it the tiredness was my main early symptom last time - used to come home from work, sit down and be fast asleep on the sofa when dh got in half an hour later.

LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 21:32

OK, I feel justified in sneaking off to bed myself then

NQWWW · 18/10/2004 21:37

Hello and congratulations to everybody - mind if I join in? I'm all of 5 and a half weeks, and reckon I'm due on 15th June.

This will be no. 3 - ds is 3.5 and dd has just turned 1 (aaarrrggghhh - am I mad?)

I'm feeling sick and tired (but what's new?). I'm also a bit worried about the visit to Thailand I've got booked for the end of Feb - taking the 2 kids across with my mum, but she's staying on when we come back - a 12 hour flight with a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old on my lap when Im 5.5 months pregnant? I suddenly feel a whole lot sicker........
