hana · 08/10/2004 21:04

congrats all ladies here! My SIL is expecting in june as well, after 2 m/c in the last year. Lots of luck to everyone for a great pregnancy!!

zebra · 08/10/2004 21:06

Hana -- didn't you m/c yourself last year, after being due in June? Best of luck, whatever your current TTC status is.

monkeygirl · 08/10/2004 21:07

I cannot believe this thread has started. Congratulations and good luck from another June 04 graduate. Now I feel all broody again, sniff, sniff.

hana · 08/10/2004 21:14

zebra - Yes - I had a m/c in October 03 and would have been due mid June......but am nearly 30 weeks pregnant now and due....on Christmas Day!! So things are really going well!
Did you ever say just how you pronounce your name by the way?!?!

zebra · 08/10/2004 21:15

Fantastic, Hana. Really happy for you.
I suggested "Sludgeface", but snmum won't have it.

JennyWren · 10/10/2004 20:54

Hi...

Can I add myself to this thread? I found out last Monday that I am also pregnant! We're really pleased - it will be our first baby. I think I'm due on June 11th. I've got an appointment with the GP tomorrow, so hopefully she'll confirm it then. I've been feeling OK - although my breasts are really sore and I feel queasy if I don't have aomething to eat every couple of hours in the morning and afternoon. Wierdly, I am fine in the evenings, no matter how late I am to eat dinner. I'm sure that'll change though!

It's funny - although I was never planning to tell the world until three months, I thought I would really want to tell my Mum and my best friend asap, but at the moment I really like the secret between dh and I, and I just want to keep quiet for a bit longer. Maybe it'll feel more real when I've seen the doctor, and then I'll be ready to spill the beans. Until then, can you keep a secret???

welshmum · 11/10/2004 08:59

Morning Jennywren, welcome and congratulations.

katzguk · 11/10/2004 09:03

congrats jennywren - thats the date i've been given.

WE've not told anybody yet. A good friend knows because shes a mumsnetter but no one else.

I'm going to tell my boss today because i had lots of problems with DD, bleeding ect, really bad morning sickness, plus his wife is 11 weeks pg so he has to be nice about it!!

MrsWednesday · 11/10/2004 09:46

Congratulations JennyWren. I won't tell if you don't!

How's everyone feeling so far then? I'm stressing myself out far too much already, analysing every twinge (or lack of twinges!). I need to get a grip or I will send myself mad very soon.

Did you manage to hide your vomiting then Katzguk?

welshmum · 11/10/2004 09:51

I've been all over the place this weekend with bad morning sickness one day and very little the next. It certainly seems to have got alot better in the last 2 days. That accompanied by a really nasty stabbing pain in my stomach yesterday has convinced me that I'm about to have a m/c. I knew I'd be like this - having had m/c last time around. Don't know what to do with myself really - feel so nervous and strange.

MrsWednesday · 11/10/2004 10:07

((((hugs)))) Welshmum. That's my problem too - two m/c has made me even more stressed than I was first time round.

If it's any consolation, it seems like my symptoms (such as they are) come and go too. One minute I'm definitely feeling pg and the next I feel completely normal.

If only we could fast-forward to twelve weeks...

northstar · 11/10/2004 10:11

congratulations all you june mumstobe, I'm just visiting from due may05 xxxxx

ps we've all been trying to fast forward to 12weeks but it doesnt seem to be working - we're all still tired and v m/s but you should come lurk and see when it starts to get better (if it does)

Good luck to you

welshmum · 11/10/2004 10:12

Thanks Mrswednesday - that is reassuring. I just wish I could stop thinking about it and analysing every little thing. Caught myself making plans for how to get to the hospital from work when my m/c starts yesterday....
I cheer myself up by having fun with dd (2.5 this week) Is your dd just 2 or a bit older?

katzguk · 11/10/2004 10:19

mrs wednesday - didn't have to in the end he didn't stay at our house!! but is a just over a week so will have to come up with something then!!

told my boss today and he very happy for me!!

MrsWednesday · 11/10/2004 10:42

Welshmum, my DS is just 2 (in September). It's such a fun age, I think, although the tantrums have recently started....

Katzguk, glad it went well telling the boss. I'm going to tell mine this week, then I won't feel like I have to keep lying when I take time off for appointments (I'm not a very good liar!).

welshmum · 11/10/2004 10:48

I agree you MrwW they are delicious. I took dd to a pretty full on christening & party yesterday and I was so proud of her - even during the church service....there was a quiet bit and she piped up with 'BAL-A-MOR-Y, BAL-A-MOR-Y' She was singing her own hymns!

MrsWednesday · 11/10/2004 10:55

Ahh, that is so lovely!

teabelly · 11/10/2004 11:18

Hello, hope you don't mind if I join you? Congratulations to everyone already on this thread. I have been lurking on the ttc thread but never brave enough to post, then when I decided I would post on the ttc11 thread I had a BFP and didn't need to! And I have been bursting to tell someone ever since

If all goes well this will be our 2nd - already have ds, 2 on 16th June - and this one would be due 9th June so they could share a birthday. I'm currently 5weeks +4 and have an early scan on thursday morning following a history of ectopic pregnancies, so have my fingers crossed all will be ok. Haven't had the any of the previous pains so am hopeful, and am taking the early onset of m/s as a positive sign, although somewhat of a surprise as I had none with ds.

welshmum · 11/10/2004 11:21

Congratulations to you teabelly - I hope everything goes very well....can you still face tea?

teabelly · 11/10/2004 11:26

Ha ha no actually...I've developed a taste for coffee now - should probably change my name

welshmum · 11/10/2004 11:36

I haven't drunk either since I got pg with the first one. Drink Redbush by the gallon though

teabelly · 11/10/2004 11:38

I was drinking redbush when I fell with ds and went right off of it - just the smell would set my tummy flip flopping, and I can't drink it now...how spooky!

welshmum · 11/10/2004 11:47

It's about the only thing that's guaranteed to settle my stomach - it's a wierd old business
