I know it is very early - but somebody needs to do it! Still not down from cloud nine yet!
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
teabelly · 09/11/2004 14:25

mudda - never been to hemel...but have driven through it - did seem abit bleak (no offence meant)...still 6 more days and counting!

scraggy - not sure where the law courts are but holborn (station) is at the top of Kingsway and two stops after oxf circ on the central line. A meetup would be good - although the lemonade doesn't excite me...the sweets on the other hand are a different matter! I only work mon-wed...so it would have to be one of those nights...

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 14:28

Teabelly - I've got a meeting next Wed (17th) so will be in London then. What time do you think you'd get to Holborn?

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 14:30

MrsW - You've made me soooooo hungry again!!! Mmmm. Luckily my other half is out tonight so I'm going straight to Tesco's afetr work to buy loads of lovely things to chomp on. Smoked salmon, with lemon... mmmmmm

welshmum · 09/11/2004 14:32

Oops asked the geography question and then actually did half an hour of work - fatal when it comes to you speedy lot. I work just off Oxford Street too so I could make a meet up near Holborn.
I'm biding my time before I got to Top Shop and indulge myself. I've decided to wear my own clothes for as long as possible and then go straight to maternity - last time I bought stuff a size bigger first. I think I'm also a bit edgy about buying anything before I get past the 1st trimester.
Mrs w I want your sandwich!

teabelly · 09/11/2004 14:33

Scraggy I finish at 5 so I'd be there for just before 5.30.

teabelly · 09/11/2004 14:34

Welshmum, great if you could join us too.

MrsWednesday · 09/11/2004 14:34

Too late, it's all gone. I'll be having the same again tomorrow no doubt, so I'll describe it to you as I'm eating it. Will that do?

welshmum · 09/11/2004 14:44

I'm off on Wednesdays sadly and will be up to my eyes in 2 year olds - another day though would be lovely.
Incidentally is it time to start a new thread - this one is very long now - what do others think?

Sophmum · 09/11/2004 14:48

Sorry to add a sad message, but I wonder if anyone has any advice about missed miscarriage? I went for my dating scan yesterday at 9.5 weeks and the baby was only measuring 6.5 weeks with no heartbeat, so looks as if I have lost it. I still have all my pg symptoms etc, but don't see how I could be only 6.5. I have to go back next week for another scan and if no change to arrange d + c. I'm just waiting for the worst to happen now - I feel as if I'll start bleeding any moment.

teabelly · 09/11/2004 14:49

yeah another thread would be good...this one could possibly be the longest on mn!

welshmum - shame about next wed. Let us know what nights are best of you and we'll try and arrange something.

teabelly · 09/11/2004 14:52

sophmum ((((((hugs)))))) is there no way you could be wrong on your dates? Before about 7 weeks it's dificult to find a heartbeat so if your dates are wrong little bean may be ok.

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 14:54

I could do a Tuesday.... come to London the night before, but perhaps not for a couple of weeks.

MrsWednesday · 09/11/2004 14:54

Sophmum, I'm so so sorry. That's really awful news. Sending you enormous hugs.

The same thing happened to me earlier in the year, so if you have any questions I'm more than happy to answer them.

Sophmum · 09/11/2004 14:55

Thanks teabelly - I don't think my dates could be wrong. I did a positive test on 30 Sept when I was due for my period and another a few days later. That made my due date 10 June. For me to be 6-7 weeks the test would have to have come up positive almost immediately after conception. I don't think thats possible is it?

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 14:56

Sophmum - hold in there. Wait and see what happens next week, nature can be quite unpredictable.

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 14:57

BTW I did my test about a week after conception. We didn't think it's show up but it did, so you never know... maybe the dates are slightly out?

Sophmum · 09/11/2004 14:59

Mrs Wednesday - sorry it happened to you. Did you lose it naturally or have d + c? I'm finding the worst thing is waiting, whilst still feeling and looking pg - I'm even in maternity clothes as my tummy's so big. Also, if you don't mind me asking, what did you do when you started to bleed? My GP said "observe" if it's light but I'll need to see someone at some point. I'm worried every time I go to the loo in case it's started.

welshmum · 09/11/2004 15:00

Sophmum so sorry to hear about your situation - the waiting is so difficult. Please keep posting and let us know how you are - you'll get lots of support here.

welshmum · 09/11/2004 15:01

The new thread is there - Babies due June 05 Thread 2.
Sorry Sophmum I put it up at just the wrong time - apologies for any confusion that results.

Sophmum · 09/11/2004 15:04

Mrs wednesday - sorry forgot to ask, did you still have you pg symptoms all the way through? When I spoke to the GP this morning he thought it was a bit odd, and said the symptoms should have gone when the pregnancy became inactive.

teabelly · 09/11/2004 15:05

welshmum - would a tuesday be better for you?
scraggy - when would your next tuesday up here be?
sophmum - I had an early scan this time (as I've had previous ectopics) and at 7weeks they couldn't find the heartbeat on the normal scan, they had to do an internal scan to find it.

MrsWednesday · 09/11/2004 15:09

I chose to have a D&C - I was exactly 13 weeks (but only measuring 8 weeks, with no heartbeat), and the day before my scan I had the tiniest spot of light brown discharge, and that was my only clue that something wasn't right. I had to wait 3 days for the D&C, and I started to bleed a little bit - I spoke to the hospital and they said that if I did lose it naturally I had to save whatever came out. Sorry, I know this is really horrible. Luckily (if you can have luck in this situation) that didn't happen - I went in for the op, which went smoothly and I was home within a few hours. Physically it didn't take long to recover.

I'm so sorry you're going through this - I really, really hope that the next scan gives you better news, the waiting must be really horrible.

Sophmum · 09/11/2004 15:12

Thanks Mrswednesday. I'll keep you all posted on the new thread.

MrsWednesday · 09/11/2004 15:18

If I'm honest Sophmum, I don't think I had many symptoms all the way through. I started off feeling very sick but it stopped suddenly at about 7 weeks, never had sore boobs, only felt slightly tired. Which sounds very different from your situation doesn't it? Is there any possibility your dates could be out?

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 15:33
