katzguk · 11/10/2004 13:59

any one else got many pg symptoms

MrsWednesday · 11/10/2004 14:53

Not enough symptoms here.

Stress, stress, worry, worry....

katzguk · 11/10/2004 15:36

no symptoms is fine too!! i am very jealous of my friend who didn't have any symptoms just a bit tired now 5 weeks away from birth!!

MrsWednesday · 11/10/2004 15:39

I think what's worrying me is that I did have lots of symptoms with my DS and hardly any when I had m/cs. I suppose it's only early days (five weeks today!!!) yet but I am going to worry like mad over the next few weeks.

Mirage · 11/10/2004 15:50

Hi again,

Congratulations Jennywren & Teabelly,welcome!

I had my booking in visit this morning-my midwife asked if I had any m/s,sore boobs ect & I had to say that I hadn't.She then asked me if I'd actually done a pregnancy test

She told me that I probably wouldn't get an early scan,as I have had a successful pregnancy since my ectopic & have no pain or bleeding with this one yet.I pleaded with her to see if she could wangle a scan for me & told her that I daren't even think about anything baby related until I have seen that there is something in there.

She is a complete star,as she rang me later to tell me that she had managed to get me a scan booked for Wednesday at 10am.So I am a lot happier now-although dreading the scan itself.I'll be the one sitting there shaking, waiting for my name to be called.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok.It is lovely to see more & more people on this thread.

teabelly · 11/10/2004 16:16

Mirage good luck for wednesday, I know just how you're feeling...I have my early scan on thursday. I too had a sucessful pregnancy after two ectopics, but I refused to leave the surgery last week until I had a scan date - if there's one thing I learned from having my ds it's insist on what you want and don't let the medical staff bully you

MrsWednesday · 11/10/2004 16:23

Good luck to you both for your scans.

Is that how you managed it then Teabelly? I begged and pleaded with my doctor but she didn't give in. Perhaps I should've staged a sit-in protest.

teabelly · 11/10/2004 16:30

Mrs W it helped that I had ds with me having one of his excellent two year tantrums, ha ha ha.

megi · 11/10/2004 17:29

Hello again!

I saw my GP today and got an early pregnancy pack! So exciting! Just spent ages reading it - even tough I remember most of it from last time round.
I have been analysing every twinge and "grumble" - but I remeber doing this last time round too! - 12 weeks just seems so long away!
Feeling very sick - but have not puked yet!

karen01 · 12/10/2004 17:26

teabelly · 13/10/2004 09:21

Morning,

Mirage good luck for this morning...let us know how it went.

How is everyone feeling today? I'm surprised no-one at work has said anything yet, my boobs must have grown two sizes in the last two weeks, and I've never been what you'd call big! Having waves of nausea all day but no actual sickness...almost think being sick would be better

mrsflowerpot · 13/10/2004 11:04

Can I pop in and say hello?

I just found out on Sunday - I'm five weeks today. Due date is around 15 June. All being well this will be number 2 for us - ds is 3 and a half. Haven't 'come out' in real life yet, so it's nice to tell people! but still feeling really nervous as it's so early.

Mirage · 13/10/2004 13:23

Well,I'm back from the scan.We saw a blob with a heartbeat.WHOOO-HOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so relieved,I was convinced that something horrible had happened & nearly cried when I saw 'blob'.

They can't confirm my due date as I am measuring about a week behind, but said that this wasn't a problem & often happens,as it is hard to measure something so small.I will have to wait until my 12 wk scan now.

The nurse in the EPAU remembered me from 2 years ago, when I was 1st pregnant with dd & was lovely, she told me to ring if I had any more worries.

Teabelly-good luck for tomorrow-I'll be looking out for your news.

Mrs Wednesday,I'm surprised that you weren't offered an early scan.Is there an EPAU near you who will let you self refer? I had to do that with dd as my Dr then wasn't interested at all.I am sure if you rang them they would see you.

Welcome to Mrs Flowerpot & Karen01.Hope I haven't forgotten anyone-I'm all dithery now.

teabelly · 13/10/2004 14:09

Mirage - great news I'm so happy for you. I'm surprisingly not too worried about tomorrow yet...trying to get into the 'what will be will be' mode, of course it will be another thing when I'm actually in the waiting room

Mrs Flowerpot welcome and I hope your nerves settle soon.

MrsWednesday · 13/10/2004 15:46

Mirage, that's great news!!! I'm really, really pleased for you.

All the very best of luck for tomorrow Teabelly.

And hello to Mrs Flowerpot - come and share your worries here .

I am feeling ok, boobs are REALLY sore now, feel like I need to hold them when I walk. I've decided that I'm going to book myself in for a scan (probably privately if I can't get anything through the NHS) at 8 weeks because I can't bear to wait any longer.

How is everyone else feeling?

happymumxxx · 13/10/2004 21:08

Congratulations everyone and hello!
Id love to join you if thats okay
Found out last week that im pg and due 13 june-so that makes me 5wks 2d.Absolutely over the moon - have told the whole world. Already have a dd (2 in Nov) Im feelin fine at the minute apart from going to bed (about now actually)every night. Hows everyone else feeling now.

welshmum · 14/10/2004 09:21

Morning all and welcome to happymum, mrsflowerpot and karen01. Glad your scan went well mirage and hope yours does too teabelly.
We've got ours on Monday morning and at the moment I've convinced myself that we're having twins!
My morning sickness has got a lot better in the last few days but I am ravenously hungry at certain times of the day. The boobs are less sore, I get a bit more tired too but I'm mostly ok.

lummox · 14/10/2004 10:59

Morning,

Am June due too and couldn't resist joining MN to say so.

Congratulations to everyone. Hope you as pleased and less neurotic than me.

Have no good reason to be worried but would love to be able to have an early scan. I've searched the internet but can't find out how early it is possible to have an ultrasound and where you can get them privately in London. Any tips?

teabelly · 14/10/2004 12:06

Hi there, back from the scan...took them a while to find it, but we too have a sack, blob and the important heartbeat all in the right place also they think I'm 7weeks and not 6, which would give a date of 2nd June...although they changed ds's due date three times, so I'll wait and see

Think I'm going to have to tell someone else in RL before my dating scan if dh can't come though as ds had an almighty crying fit thinking they were doing something bad to mummy, bless him, and I'm not sure I could get him to come in next time...shame coz I wanted him to enjoy being part of the whole experience.

Welcome Lummox and Happymum, hope you are both feeling well.

Lummox I think the earliest they do scans is about 6 weeks as that's when they're sure there's a detectable heartbeat, and usually your Dr will refer you if you're having or have had previous problems/complications. I'm afraid I'm in Bedfordshire so I don't know any of the London clinics.

Welshmum good luck for your scan on monday...do twins run in your family then? my mum had a dream that my next pregnancy would be twins so I was very relieved when the Dr said only one heart beat this morning!

Mirage · 14/10/2004 14:12

Great news Teabelly.Your due date is the same as mine, but mine is probably subject to change as they think I'm a week behind.

Welcome Lummox,Teabelly is right,6 weeks is about the earliest anything can be seen on a scan.

Good luck for Monday Welshmum.

I have gone from having no symptoms at all on Monday,to feeling absolutely rubbish.I was looking forward to work today,to take my mind off it,but its pouring down & as I work outside, there is not much point in me going.

I have had a letter for an appt on 15th Dec at the hospital-not sure if this is my 12 wk scan or not as I'll be 14 wks then, plus my midwife needs to make an appt for a dating scan when I'm 9-12 wks,& only found this out yesterday,so this can't be it.I'll have to ring them & find out.

It's stopped raining now,I'm off to work before it starts again or I fall asleep.

welshmum · 14/10/2004 14:23

Some twins in the family teabelly, but only a cousin. I'm just paranoid at the moment veering from 'it's twins' to 'I'm not pregnant anymore' to 'oh my goodness I am pregnant' I'm sure you know how it is. Hopefully I'll calm down a bit after Monday.

lummox · 14/10/2004 15:40

Thank you both. Think am probably just being paranoid, and will try to hold out for 12 week scan.

V pleased to see happy news from Teabelly.

Sadly am not feeling very well - nausea from the start and this week have suddenly started burping like Barney from the Simpsons and am completely exhausted between about 7 pm and 11 am.

Think that's partly why I want the scan - to make sure that all this is happening for a good reason.

teabelly · 14/10/2004 16:36

Lummox sounds pretty normal to me

Welshmum - yeah I know what you mean I go through the same phases myself, ha ha ha but I'm sure monday will definitely put your mind at ease.
