Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
alicet · 27/09/2007 13:21

OK can't even begin to count the number of typos in that last post!!!!!

Katsh · 27/09/2007 13:26

Thanks for your reply Alice. I'm sure it's fine - just a bit inhibiting. I had thought that breathlessness would come more gradually than this, but I guess the baby has just moved into a particular position. The catch is that I don't one lo to engage as I've spd and the pain will only increase. guess it just means that I can't do all the cupboard clearing that I intended to. Oh well! Have a good afternoon

ejt1764 · 27/09/2007 13:53

alice - I don't iron much either ... and neither does anybody else ... I figure that if I get everything out of the tumble dryer quickly enough and shake it, then that shakes any creases out, then if you fold it well, it gets pressed like that ... ... perhaps I need a slattern emoticon here too!

alicet · 27/09/2007 13:54

You sound gutted about the cupboards katsch!!! Enjoy your afternoon

alicet · 27/09/2007 13:55

ejt - cross posted... Glad to see I've not the only lazy one though! And that your techniques mirror mine!

Kittiwake · 27/09/2007 14:05

Congratulations Miss Natalie great news

Still no television here gggrrr which is surprisingly annoying hopefully our neighbours scaffolding will come down on Monday and it will work again after that!

I am a complete idiot as I managed to slip on the stairs last night, landed a bit awkwardly and feeling a bit bruised down below baby was moving around loads afterwards and I felt quite a few BH last night so by this morning was a bit worried. I went to see midwife first thing and everything fine she said baby is 2/5ths engaged now so heading in right direction!

Gosh no never iron anything and we don't even have a tumble dryer

greedygreedyguzzler · 27/09/2007 14:08

ejt - i like routines too and have always loosely stuck to 'she who shall not be named' routines!!! i am hoping to this time too, but not sure how it will fit in with school run in the morning for ds and nursery run in the afternoons for dd! think i might have to try and be a bit more chilled this time!!! but everyone keeps telling me third babies are really relaxed and fit in with anything!!!

winnie - sounds like you could be having your last minute burst of energy before going into labour!!!

missnatalie - congrats!!!!! kezza is in hospital having a c section!!!! supposed to be yesterday i think so hopefully she is cuddling her lo now!

well.................operation labour involved taking both dc to the childminders and then dragging dh off to bed for some hot lovin'!!!! (yeah right!!! not much hot about it at the moment, but it was definately sex!!!)..and once we got going very enjoyable too but i am sure you didnt all need to know that!!!
i also showed dh a section in one of my books that says massage can bring on labour cos it relaxes the mum!!! so got a nice massage too!

then decided to go shopping for housey stuff and clothes for the kids.....so have been walking briskly round the shops for about 3 hours!!! have had lots of pains and BHs but nothing that makes me think labour is imminent!!!

mrs fish - i hope your 'operation labour' is going more succesfully than mine!!!

J2OBABY · 27/09/2007 14:43

GRRRRRRR kids! or rather dd! whiny little git! nexy time she cries wolf, she's going to school even if she's vomiting at the school gate. i draggered her round the shops and she managed to get a pair of boots, 2 tops, a pair of trousers, some headbands and an arty thing out of me, i got a pair of button up pj's for bf i think she may be taking the p*ss and picking up on my vunerable state!

also, next time i go out, think i will wear a big badge saying '9 MONTHS PREGNANT' STOP HITTING ME IN THE STOMACH WITH YOUR TROLLEY, BASKET, ELBOW OR ANY OTHER IMPLEMENT!

does anyone else have the problem of people being ignorant, or am i just feeling sensitive?

am going to read all the posts again as i can't remember what was said

unicorn · 27/09/2007 14:50

owwwww

J2OBABY · 27/09/2007 14:53

missnatalie, sorry to hear of your mmc, i didn't know. but great to hear you've hit the 20 week mark, hope its going well

re; the ironing, i've had my iron for about 6 years and it still looks new i only do dd's uniform!

re; the routine thing-God knows! i don't know what i'm going to be doing, will have to have some sort of routine eventually, to get dd to school etc, think it'll be a bit hit and miss at first.

kitti-glad your fall hasn't done no damage, be more careful!

kat-being breathless can be a sign of anemia, maybe you should get your blood checked by now baby should have moved down a bit to give your lungs a rest i think.

alice-aw bless with you having cuddle time with Sam, i felt all loved up towards dd this morning, until she decided she was ill, i'm just not a very maternal, cuddly mum when i'm feeling tired and stressed.

inzi-sorry your bits are hurting, mine are really achey, especially when i keep having to go to the loo, think its the pressure.

winnie- 4 toilets! i hate having to clean 2, do you use them all?!

J2OBABY · 27/09/2007 14:55

unicorn-OMG!!! what else can i say?!

feel bad now, dd has just made me a love heart out of her pipe cleaners, bless.

also, meant to say, got my Studio order sorted, hope i don't change my mind about calling lo Shannon, as i have ordered my mum a photo frame saying 'love from Leonie and Shannon.

roight, i;m going to go put clothes away to escape from dd for 5 mins.

KezzaG · 27/09/2007 15:41

Hi all

this thread is full of good news!!! Miss Natalie, sooo pleased for you, thanks so much for coming on and letting us know. Jersey congrats, hope all is going well.

And ofd course welcome to my very own Leo Freddie delivered safely by csection Tuesday. We are home now and doing really well. I wasnt quote sure how I would love a second child as much as my first but I do, he is just the best. He was sucking his fingers while being weighed so is a natural at breastfeeding. I am knackered but very very happy.

Also pleased to report I am not carrying the placenta around in a bag.......sleep deprivation and a quick scan of this thread is more effective than acid thats for sure!!

OK I am off to sleep while dh does father son bonding, otherwise known as watching top gear on UK Gold while holding a baby. Talk to you all later.

PS greedy, I found the care at PAH so much better this time. They seemed to have so much more time and much more supportive. Im sure you will be in and out but its good to know anyway.

MrsFish · 27/09/2007 15:42

Greedy - operation labour not working here either... although I have had tummy ache all day Well I have done nothing all day. Ds is at nursery so I just decided to have a totally relaxing day, I have barely moved off the sofa, watched loads of telly, had a snooze and am now eating chocolate angel delight. Just had my early learning centre order delivered (xmas pressies for the kids) so am going to open them n a bit and have a look

ejt1764 · 27/09/2007 15:43

Congratulations KezzaG. Glad to hear all went well and you are home now.

I have stopped the housework for today.

List of jobs for tomorrow includes. DD's bedroom & palyroom. Our bedroom dressing room and ensuite. Hoovering 1st & 2nd floors and tidying my office. I must also go into town and get DD some football socks for saturday.

2O - yes 4 toilets. 1 on the ground floor which we all use, the main bathroom which is mainly used by DD and any guests, our ensuite which is used by me and DP and 1 on the top floor which I use when I am in my office or we are using the games room.

Collywobbles · 27/09/2007 16:51

Hi Again - just got back from the hospital and am so relieved because my placenta seems to have moved. Looks like everything can go ahead normally afterall - hurrah!

alicet · 27/09/2007 16:52

Great news Colly - all that worrying for nothing. Nice one.

WinnieThePooh · 27/09/2007 16:54

It is greeat to hear that your placenta has moved. I know how I felt when the told me that mine have moved.

It is now all systems go for normal deliveries all round.

MrsFish · 27/09/2007 17:14

Great news collywobbles

Winnie - it can be a pain havin so many toilets can't it, we have five at the moment, soon to be four as we are knocking around the rooms upstairs over christmas. I hate cleaning toilets, its only going to get worse when I have three boys using them

Apricott · 27/09/2007 18:19

Great news Collywobbles!

Congratulations Jersey and Kezza! And MissNatalie too, wonderful news.

DH has graciously granted me minutes on the internet, he's keen to get back to work, so I can't linger, but big waves to everyone else!!! Finally getting round to packing an emergency hosptal bag today, - just in case... Such cute little clothes to go in there ...

Congratulations Kezza and Natalie! Fantastic news from both of you.

And congratulations to Collywobbles - great news too!

I hate ironing, so am in sympathy with the non-ironing brigade. DH irons his own shirts mostly. My defence is that I manage to buy iron-free stuff most of the time, so he's the one who creates the ironing. Can't see myself ironing any babygros.

Any action, Mrs F? Or anyone else?

V tiring day today, work was v full-on, no breaks, am zonked AND a friend just rang to tell me he has cancer. I'm horribly shellshocked. They told him yesterday and dont know yet how bad it is. Horrible.

Also DH is away - he went away this morning to a conference for work, will be back at some point tomorrow, probably early evening. I'm having a night of relaxation, or I was going to. Hearing the news about my friend has kind of knocked that one, really. I'm okay though and so is lo.

Off to feed myself and then watch some television! Hope you're all okay.
