oooo bar of galaxy [looking wistful emoticon]

WinnieThePooh · 26/09/2007 21:04

Have emailed you back with my mobile number ess.

ChocolateHobnob · 26/09/2007 21:07

Mmmm Galaxy!

I'm currently addicted to those Operetta chocs from M and S that are the sort of M and S equivalent of Ferrero Rocher... Yum...

orangecat · 26/09/2007 21:10

This talk of choc is making me want to raid baking cupboard. Choc chips are far inferior to anything else, but all I have in the house. Looking v tempting right now

Mumpbump · 26/09/2007 21:34

Orangecat - I will be watching with interest. Think we're halfway between the Spock approach and Continuum thingy. There is no way I could do the routine one - it makes Gina Ford look touchy feely! It made me feel quite sad for the little babies, but I have a horrible feeling that her babies will be sleeping through as promised after 3 months as they will have given up crying. Dh and I would much rather have a lively and interactive child, even if they're a bit more demanding...

MrsFish · 26/09/2007 21:37

Hello all, you've been chatty tonight.. on the one night I go out

Mmmmm Galaxy... sounds good, but not as good as the fruit and nut toblerone I had yesterday

Not watched bringing up baby yet, I've taped it, will watch tomorrow as ds is a t nursery all day. Will also be sorting out all cupboards tomorrow seeing as I have nothing else to do, and will take my mind off the waiting

Well I have been on my feet most of the day and I think bump has actually dropped . Just got back from the cinema - had a curry first, then watched Run Fat Boy Run - which is very amusing, and I had a good belly laugh, then dh drove home which was very bumpy and quite uncomfortable... too knackered for bedroom action, will just have to see what todays efforts bring without it I have slight backache which I haven't had this pregnancy so far so it will be interesting to see how close to EDD this one will arrive, hopefully not friday night as my mum is on holiday, MiL is away till sunday lunch and the babysitter is on a night out... I'll try not to worry about the what ifs unless it does happen

greedygreedyguzzler · 26/09/2007 21:57

ok then mrs fish! lets have our babies tomorrow!!!! dh has told everyone that tomorrow is the day for me!!! (i had told everyone yesterday was, but obviously that turned out to be bollocks!!) once my ds and dd are at the childminders tomorrow morning i am going to get started on my operation labour too!!!

congrats to jersey and i hope all is ok with you kezza!.............looks like i wont be meeting you in hospital afterall

ChocolateHobnob · 27/09/2007 07:07

Quick message en route to work just to say hope Operation Labour goes well for you Mrs F and Greedy!

Was the curry good, Mrs F?

MrsFish · 27/09/2007 08:29

Curry was fantastic thanks, up until midnight last night, 6 hours after eating it spent the next three hours with heartburn, sat propped up in bed No other signs of anything happening. Mission today is to get on hands and knees and scrubbing the floors, and sorting out cupboards

unicorn · 27/09/2007 08:30

So how many more OCTOBER babies have I missed?

Good luck to the impending deliveries (Mrs F and Greedy?) and hope everyone else is well.

alicet · 27/09/2007 09:39

Didn?t watch the baby programme you?re all talking about? Dh and I intended to be quite routine orientated with ds1 but I was surprised firstly how much it would rip me in two to hear him cry and also how nearly impossible I found it to stick to all of this in the early weeks. He found his own routine in the end at about 12 weeks and that was so much easier to stick to. Also with Mump that I would rather play it this way and have a more demanding child! Think children do fine though on all manner of different ways of being brought up. Its something a lot of mums get really evangelical about but really you just have to find a way that works for you and your lo ? which may not be what you expected before they arrived!

All the talk on chocolate making me hungry ? cereal not really cutting it!!!

MrsF ? glad curry was good although sorry hasn?t yet had the desired effect?.

Mump ? saw Sept thread ? glad you want to stick with us!!!

Anyone heard from muppet - she'd been struggling a bit last time she was on. Just hoping all well with her...

Anyway hope the rest of you have good days ? Choc your morning post was slightly later than usual so hope this means you?re taking it easier with work! I?ll be back later on after Sam?s toddler music group!

Collywobbles · 27/09/2007 09:53

Hi All - I haven't been on for ages. It seems maternity leave is more hectic than I expected! I haven't even attempted to catch up on everything that I've missed so I'll just say that I hope everyone is well (or as well as possible in the circumstances!) and congratulations to anyone who has now had their LO!

I am terrified this morning because I have my scan today at 2pm to see whether my placenta has moved. After my 'bleed' at 32 weeks it was 1cm away and I think it needs to be 2cm to be considered safe? I had an antenatal class on Monday and was chatting to the midwife about my situation afterwards. I casually asked her what she thought would happen if it hadn't moved (thinking they'd probably scan me again in a week or something) and she said I should take a hospital bag because they may well keep me in for a CS! Suddenly everything seems a bit too real....

J2OBABY · 27/09/2007 10:27

hi, just popping on to say a quick hi, got dd off school, apparantly feeling sick and headache, but she made a miracalous recovery at about 9 am and keeps talking to me and reading over my shoulder so i'm going to go and do a bit of shoppping and be back later to catch up properly.

re; self induction, anyone thought about trying a breast pump for a few minutes for nipple stimulation?

have a nice day all

ejt1764 · 27/09/2007 11:04

morning all ...

had a lovely lie in this morning ...

with the routine thing, I just went with the flow until ds was about 4 weeks old, then my anal-retentive-inner-control-freak just couldn't let me, and ds went into a routine based (loosely!) on GF ... it worked for us - the first day I tried it, dh came home from work to a happy, smiling baby ... and a wife who was not only dressed, but able to talk in coherent sentences!

However, the cc thing never worked for us - we tried it several times, but even though it worked eventually, we would be back to square one within 3 weeks!

We did have major sleeping problems with ds - culminating in him cracking one of my ribs in his tantrum not to go to bed when he was 2 1/2 ... we had professional help - and used the rapid return method in the end: if you saw the house of tiny tearaways a couple of years ago, where it took over 130 returns for the child to go to slepp, that'll give you some idea!
Problem is that I believe that some of those problems we had were caused by cc ... needless to say, we won't be using that again!

Am going to quilt tiday ... then my list is finished! [gulp] ... appointment with the acupuncturist for her to give my system a bit of a nudge tomorrow - then I've wanred dh to brace himself!

Have a good day all!

J20 - careful of using a breast pump to do nipple stimulation, you could give yourself cracked nipples before you even start (voice of experience here ... that's how desparate we got with ds!)

WinnieThePooh · 27/09/2007 11:04

Morning all,

Have been busy with house work this morning. Got downstairs sorted. Next job is to clean all 4 toilets, then get DD's bedroom and playroom tidy, before tackling mine, then hoovering the upstairs.

The walk to and from school normally takes it out of me, but I feel really full of energy today. I came home and got a washing on, which is now ready to go out, so will go get that done and the next load on while the sun is out.

Have a good day everyone.

MrsFish · 27/09/2007 11:46

Get back to work winnie

Me, I haven't done anything yet I will try this afternoon though

I'm watching the bringing up baby at the moment...

alicet · 27/09/2007 11:59

Colly - good luck with your scan. Fingers crossed....

Hello everyone else! Can't remember what you have all just said despite only JUST reading it! Hope you all have good days - rest for those that need it and that the ones with stuff to do get it sorted x

Hi Ladies, just popping back to say hello. I was part of this thread up until easter but had a MMC. I just wanted to share my news with you all. I'M PREGNANT again . I'll be 20 weeks on Saturday.

Ive been coming on now and again to see how your all doing but never posted. Cant beleive how many of you have popped already, congratulations. Anyone know where KezzaG is? Not seen her around for ages. I promised her id she'd be one of the first to know when i got pregnant agin.

Glad you are all well

Nat xx

WinnieThePooh · 27/09/2007 12:33

washing hung out, and next load on. Dishwasher unloaded and 3 out of 4 toilets cleaned. Only our ensuite to do now ant it will get done when I have tidied by bedroom and dressing room.

WinnieThePooh · 27/09/2007 12:36

Congratulations missnatalie.

KezzaG was due to have a CS on Tuesday. I don't think anyone has heard from her yet.

missnatalie · 27/09/2007 12:40

Thanks WTP. I'll keep a look out for her update x

alicet · 27/09/2007 13:03

Inzi ? you?re really ironing baby clothes?! Have to say I totally couldn?t be bothered with this! Does that make me really scummy? Have to say the only reason my own clothes get ironed is because the cleaner does them (OK so I?m scummy AND lazy!). I would rest instead if I was you!

Nat ? congratulations on your news! That?s fantastic! Kezza was due to have a section on Tues ? she hasn?t been on that much but popped in from time to time? Good luck with everything and hope this pg goes well for you.

Winnie ? you?re making me tired just reading your post!!!!

Well I?m sitting here on my arse doing nothing! A mate is over for coffee in about half an hour ? will be great to see her. Then depends what time Sam wakes as to what we get up to this pm. He was SO tired when I put him to sleep at 12 that he fell asleep in my arms. Its been ages since he has done that and it was lovely. Just sat and cuddled and kissed him and told him how much I loved him while he snoozed away?.

Katsh · 27/09/2007 13:10

hello all. Since yesterday afternoon I've been very breathless all the time. I'm 37 +4 and baby is not engaged at all, so I'm guessing this is normal. I can't remember being like this before though. Is anyone else having this particular problem?

alicet · 27/09/2007 13:21

Katsch - I've been pretty breathless off and on and certainly was last time when I had tummy muscles capabel of holding my bump up under my ribcage! Pretty sure its nothing to worry about and its normal esp if lo is sitting up under your ribs but give mw a quick call or reassurance if you're still worried...
