inzi-bless you, going all gooey

ejt-congrats on doing the study, its great when you finish something

well, i am still bored!! had a sleep this morning, cleaned up, had my hair cut, cooked tea, going to get dd to bed, then what?!

i bought some books today to try and relieve the boredom, also may start a jigsaw, i so should have saved some of the decorating for now!

i can't do batches of food because i've only got a tiny freezer and its full, i can't knit or do puzzles because of the carpal tunnel, anyone got any ideas?

i just feel like i'm wasting time, not doing things.

alicet · 24/09/2007 18:38

Inzi - sorry you feel teary and sick now! Still think it sounds like a fab way to spend the day!

Ejt - congrats on finishing the study! Next on your to do list could be 'have baby!!'

J20 - I am obviously incredibly lazy. If I had nothing to do other than sit and read books I would be very very happy! If you are bored you can come up here and do my jobs for me if you like!!

I am shattered now. Going out tonight once ds is asleep for a pizza with the girls and to be honest I can't think of anything I would like to do less. Sure once we get there it will be fab - they are great friends who I haven't seen for a while but all I want to do at the mo is fall into bed. Oh well!

Going to meet another mate for lunch tomorrow too. Really looking forward to it - its been absolutely AGES since I've seen her so will be great to catch up.

Probably not on here later but will try and catch up tomorrow am...

GOOD LUCK FLORIA!!!!!!!

j20baby · 24/09/2007 18:49

oh yes

floria-GOOD LUCK! hope it all goes ok for you

nellieloula · 24/09/2007 19:23

inzi - sounds like a pretty perfect afternoon to me (apart from the lurpack induced sickness obviously!!)

alice - it's rubbish when you don't want to go out, but those are often the best nights in the end - enjoy!

ejt - relax now! well done for getting the study done though. just take it easy tonight.

and j20 - enjoy the peace! you've been so busy in the last few weeks and months, sure it will do you good to just sit and be!

how has everyone else been? my rubbish day got worse and worse but is thankfully drawing to a close - can only hope tomorrow is better. DH will be home later so that will be good.

hope everyone has a good sleep and especially Floria - either sleep or a baby!
Good Luck! we're all thinking of you.

MrsFish · 24/09/2007 19:30

Hi all.

Well I didn't phone the chiropractor as neck has been a lot better today, can only really feel it now if I really twist around to look over my shoulder

Had a lazy morning and did some internet Xmas shopping... then at 11.30 went to town to take some boots back before this lo arrives and my 28 days ran out Then had lunch out, ds was an angel as usual, then I went a did some more Xmas shopping, I think I now have all the kids I know sorted, ain't ELC great helps spread the cost too, not too great an expense in December. Came home and did some ironing and washing, and dh came home on time for once which was nice, and bathed ds, so today has gone quite quickly

Am now quiote tired though, an early night beckons I think

jersey · 24/09/2007 19:32

Thanks for that page. Will have to try that as sex just gets me cramps all night and no sleep, but no labour!!! Don't know how to link to the thread I started re how to get labour going, its under the preg section.

HonorMatopoeia · 24/09/2007 19:32

Hi ladies, it's me, the fly by night poster! It's looking as if we won't get a computer before lo arrives so I may only ever get to speak to people properly on the post-natal thread now that's scary!
Betsy - congratulations!
FT - thinking of you
ejt - I'm impressed, it's all I can do to get out of bed and possibly make dinner
Inzi - yum, popcorn, Dh may have to make an unscheduled shop stop methinks!
Alice - hope you enjoy your night out even if it doesn't seem the greatest prospect right now.
Hi to everyone else, hope all are well and blooming.
Speak soon x

Floria, I'm thinking of you! Good luck!

Mrs F, that sounds like my kind of day.

J20, if you're bored, come and do my job for the week - I am such a lazybones I would enjoy a rest at home for a few days!

Inzi, did you manage your roasties in the end?

I had an okay day but am zonked out now, so this is a v short post! Hello to everyone, hope Alice is having a fun night out and more tomorrow!

j20baby · 24/09/2007 21:16

hi all, just a quick post before i go to bed.

not sure if its boredom or waiting thats getting to me, i feel so restless, like i should be doing something, but not sure what.

anyway, will not mention it again, bet those that are still working want to kick me in the head!

am still losing water but nothing else happening. grrr!

FT-hope its going well!

night all

unicorn · 24/09/2007 21:22

I am going to attempt to have a bath and early night tonight.....have Doctor's appointment and back in to day assessment for monitoring tomorrow.
so...
good luck Floria hope it all goes well.

  • (try+)have a good sleep everyone else!
orangecat · 24/09/2007 21:22

Starting to think that I shouldn't look away from this thread - every time I do another LO arrives!

MASSIVE congratulations Mump.

Good luck for induction tonight/ tomorrow Floria, and your appointment tomorrow, Unicorn. Frantically cleaning my hospital room floor sounds exactly like something I would do!

Alice - well done on all that cooking. I've done a couple of things (was one of the most useful things I did before DD was born) and supposed to due a Shepards Pie today but, somehow, haven't got round to it.

ejt - congrats too on all that nesting. Makes you feel like you have really achieved something, huh?

Muppet - love going to NCT sales, but have learnt that you need to decide the top item you need an immediately make a b-line for it. It always seems to be the stairgates that get snapped up immediately...

Mrs F - glad you are feeling a bit better. Popping a vertabrae does not sound nice at all, even when not pg. I have started to think I am not going to add any stretchmarks to the ones I have already (lucikly not too many). Fingers crossed for no new ones.

Nellie - I'm starting to panic too, especially in light of all these speedy deliveries. DH is at least 1 hour away. And childcare are about 40 minutes away (although have a friend round the corner for an emergency). The logistics are suddenly getting very real.

Well DH seems to be ok. Was at emergency docs on Sat am, where they ruled out more stuff. He is still getting episodes, but the frequency seems to be reducing. Don't think it's anything massive to worry about, but just something they need to discover cause of. I do think it is stress releated - having babies does tend to impose a deadline on things! He stayed home today, which was lovely (DD at nursery). But instead of taking it easy, we decided to take a trip to Ikea! Got all stuff for DD's new room, which was good.

Just need bloody carpet to turn up now. Getting really annoyed. When we bought it they said it could be in within 2 weeks. 3 weeks later, no sign of delivery, let alone booking in the fitting. ggggrrrrr. Can't finish DD room and sort new nursery until it's done.

Welcome to the newbies. And hi to anybody I missed off xxx

MrsFish · 24/09/2007 21:23

I thought these babies movements were supposed to quieten down the nearer to the EDD due to lack of space?? Could someone please tell Ben this, he is actually making me quesy sometimes the amount he is shifting around

orangecat · 24/09/2007 21:41

Hmm, yes, my LO is still wriggling around like mad. In fact, he was moving so much today that 2 ladies interrupted my lunch to comment on it!

Not engaged yet - but I hear with a second they can engage just before labour. Makes me think he might not fit past this placenta. Desparate not to go over - thought of stretchmarks, induction etc. etc.

MrsFish · 24/09/2007 21:48

orangecat - when is your DD? I don't want to go over either

orangecat · 24/09/2007 21:55

10th Oct. Have started on raspberry leaf tea tablets, but think i need to step things up a bit. Curry, sex and pineapple, here i come. Not sure about the nipple stimulation, though!

MrsFish · 24/09/2007 21:58

I am due on sunday I have been taking the raspberry leaf tea tablets since last thursday, have eaten a couple of pineapples (but heard you need to eat about 7 in one go) so going to stop that one. Have a night out planned on wednesday which includes an Indian, so will brave a hot one and then dh may get lucy too

orangecat · 24/09/2007 22:01

Really hope it works for you. I only went over 5 days last time, but it felt like an eternity.

Am debating whether to take more of the tablets - says on the packaging you can have up to 3 per day and I've just been taking 1. Might start on 2 this week...

Can't help being discouraged by lack of engagement, tho I understand this doesn't mean late baby if it is your second?

MrsFish · 24/09/2007 22:03

I was 4 days late with ds1... anyway, what will be will be, he'll come out eventually one way or another

orangecat · 24/09/2007 22:04

Yes, I keep thinking that. In my head I'm planning for 15th oct, so that any sooner will be a pleasant surprise.

Off to bed now, hope you have a good nights sleep

Oh and those that asked, someone suggested if you dont want to do the whole sex thing, the DIY worked well too.

Hope your all ok, and not too fed up.

Hi all, you are all so good at keeping up while I just scan every now and then and have no hope of proper conversation! How do you do it????

Massive congratulations to those who have already produced, hope everything is going well.

I was due to have my section today but it has been postponed to tomorrow as they were busy. Just off to bed, very excited and very nervous.

I was bad enough at posting before so who knows how long it will take me to give an update but will try my best just to keep the list up to date

Good luck everyone else....talk to you all soon
