OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
alicet · 21/09/2007 12:54

And I think Lisa had decided on Jasmine beforehand (think it was her not someone else!) but I guess we'll see later....

alicet · 21/09/2007 12:54

We're 50:50 for girls and boys so far!

ChocolateHobnob · 21/09/2007 12:55

They didnt actually say anything this morning!!! They met my parents for coffee yesterday and I think my mum laid it on with a shovel that I don't need stress at the mo= maybe they listened?! Anyway we shall see later when they reappear from their jaunt.

Havent quite begun work again yet... am contemplating a nap!...

Naughty but would be so welcome.

muppetgirl · 21/09/2007 13:06

Hi chocolate...

....go on, have a nap. You know you want too

alicet · 21/09/2007 13:25

Choc another vote for the nap!

Apricott · 21/09/2007 13:26

Power-napping never did anyone any harm - go for it Choc!

I am working late - to try to maximize my time off with the baby rather than without him/her, but I'm very lucky in that this time of year is usually spent rather frantically preparing lectures and having countless meetings with students and generally preparing for the new term, and I'm not doing any of that because I won't be here for the new term (masterly timing, though entirely by chance ). I do need to get my brain in gear and summarise a 130 page report down to a 14 page 'findings' before I leave, but other than that I'm taking it pretty easy. I wouldn't still be here if it was term-time I'm pretty sure of that!

muppetgirl · 21/09/2007 13:41

this thread is so funny!
to get a poo down the loo

j20baby · 21/09/2007 13:42

hi girls, i'm sooooo bored!! never just sat doing nothing before, i've had a sleep and convinced my mum to bring me some chips and curry {she'd better be on her way!}

suppose i could put the telly on, would like to do some knitting but my hands wont let me. hope your all ok

j20baby · 21/09/2007 13:43

MUPPET- i was just going to link to that!!!

great minds eh?

MrsFish · 21/09/2007 13:45

LoL at Califrau on that thread

muppetgirl · 21/09/2007 13:48

It's so funny

I have this problem atm with my downstairs loo. I seem to be able to block it before I even use the toilet paper!!

I have never had this problem before. Dh says it's because of the shpae of the u-bend...

We really do use the old chopsticks to 'help' things along

Sorry, forgot to tell you all the name, its jasmine Leigh

alicet · 21/09/2007 15:49

Muppet ? good to see you have the same mentality as me!

J20 ? sorry to hear you?re bored honey and also that your lo will NOT play ball! Would love curry and chips!!

Inzi ? glad all well with your lo! Needless to say I?m sure she won?t sleep like that in the middle of the night when she?s born!

Apricott - sounds like your timing was spot on! Nice one!

Well I have had quite a productive afternoon. Had some work outstanding on a presentation I would be doing in Nov if it weren't for lo. Needed to make a poster for it so my consultant can take it along instead and then I still get credit for it! Will be interesting to see how many baby brain errors there are in it - esp as the other doc I'm doing it with who will check it first is also pregnant! Never mind - won't be there to take the flack if its shite and I'm rapidly losing the will to care! Is that bad?

j20baby · 21/09/2007 16:11

inzi-ouch! poor you and lo.

muppet-eugh at chopsticks, glad i don't use them

hi alice aren't you on maternity leave yet?

well, i'm still bored! dd got picked up from school by her friends mum, so i'm still on my own! anymore idea's on how to kickstart labour? i know i'm not due for 12 days, but my hands are killing me!

alicet · 21/09/2007 16:20

Yep J20 I am on maternity leave but this is one of those do in your own time to be good on your cv things. Should have been organised enough to do it during work time but there are various reasons why not (and not all of them are me being pregnant and lazy although have to confess that is a part of it!!!!)

alicet · 21/09/2007 16:22

And nipple stimulation, currys, raspberry leaf, pineapple are a few of the things I have heard work! Not sure you're in the mood to go out and pull for the sex thing either if you feel anything like me!

MrsF I don't know how you have the energy or inclincation - not feeling desperately sexy at the mo and even if I could motivate myself dh is a bit freaked out by lo moving at the crucial moment and my bump is enormous and would almost certainly get in the way whatever position we were in!

muppetgirl · 21/09/2007 16:33

Mrs Fish - Just goes to show what a desperate woman will do. The thought of dh coming anywhere near me atm is just horrible. ...and if he even dared touch my nipples!

J20 - I can empathise with you on the hands thing. I'm fed up with the 'old lady' hands too.

btw I would like to make it clear

THE CHOPSTICKS DO GET THROWN AWAY AFTER BEING USED IN THE TOILET DEPT!!!

I now have a beautiful oven in my kitchen it's a black rangemaster 3 oven thing oh my god I think I am in heaven.....

muppetgirl · 21/09/2007 16:56

Those who are in London or are near London this thread will take you too Harrods Santas Grotto where you can book FREE tickets.

Have just booked us all (including lo....could be supersticious but hey) on Mon 17th if anyone's around and fancies meeting up?

Ollie is going to love this as he is always begging dh to 'go on the train to work' with him. Will take him to see the lights as well.

j20baby · 21/09/2007 17:07

Alice-i don't think i could pull looking like this anyway!-my male friend did offer last night but i thought i would try the, ahem, oral method first as its meant to be the sperm that is the induction type thing, and i am far too swollen and piley to let him down there!

muppet- i would love to go to the Harrods thing, but i would probably not make it, although i could get a train i suppose, but it would cost a fortune, mind you, i've lived a sheltered life, never been on a train!

j20baby · 21/09/2007 17:12

muppet-what time you done it for?

muppetgirl · 21/09/2007 17:14

10.30

j20baby · 21/09/2007 17:20

have boooked it for 1.pm on the same day as you! will have to find out about trains
