Hi all
Well lots can happen in 2 days! LES - HUGE congratulations, got that name sorted out in the nick of time. And oh, wishing for a quick labout for everybody else too.
Floria, at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. As much as hospital is horrid, you'll get to meet your LO very soon. Do let us know how things go.
Lisa - knew all those contractions you've been having couldn't have been for nothing. Waiting with baited breath for some news soon.
Choc - with everybody else on working hours/mat leave. Went off with 4 weeks to go last time (which, I have to say, was quite frowned upon by work - but hey ho). And was really glad that I did. For rest, and also having time to meet up with/ get to know fellow mums in the area who were off too. This time I left 6 weeks before - bliss. But I really don't think I could have carried on with all these aches and pains. So DO think about leaving sooner than planned.
Buffy - big hugs for you. Sounds really stressful and worrying. It's tough not having them at home (friend had hers 9 weeks early, and found it really tough). But they are resiliant little blighters, so she'll be with you before you know it.
J20/ Mrs F/ WTP - with you wanting the baby to come now. I have 2.5 weeks to go. Apparently it's normal to want the baby to come - guess it helps get us through labour!
Nellie - can't remember your plans for breech. Are you cs or turning or do you still have time?
Much as I want to meet my little one, I am now willing for him to be closer on time. Why is it that when you have a deadline, people let you down??!! We have new carpets that we bought on the basis that they could be fitted in around 2 weeks time. And, of course, 2.5 weeks later the carpets still haven't been delivered, so we're not even close to getting them fitted. And took ages to book the car in to get fixed. When I finally do, it's a 2 week turn around time. Really hoping that the hire car they give me will comfortably fit 2 x carseats in it, otherwise we're stuffed for bringing baby home!!
Inzi - some energy please. I had planned to clean the floors downstairs today, but have spend the morning at the supermarket, then online. Am feeling more like having a little nap than getting on my hands and knees right now...
Oh, and every time I have a midwife or hospital appt there seems to be something else. Nowhere near as awful of some of the stuff you other MN folk have had, but I feel like I'm contstantly adding to the list of problems. No immunity against rubella. Tick. Breech. Tick. Placenta Previa. Tick. Iron deficiency. Tick. What's next I wonder...
