and another
Congratulations LES

(how many has that been this week? have lost track!)

I'm feeling completely knackered,so trying tyo catch up on sleep wherever possible - sleep patterns are totally all over the place.

Got my last growth scan tomorrow, so hoping all is ok..

bets on for the next to pop...???

Lisa/J20????

Good luck all.xx

ChocolateHobnob · 20/09/2007 06:43

Yay! congratulations LES! How exciting.

Lisa's gone quiet too - is it all happening? And Floria?

It's so exciting round here! I'm only 34 weeks so dont want anything to happen yet but am delighted by hearing about the rest of you. Mrs F, you definitely deserve to be next!!!

Less exciting but another crap night's sleep. LO seemed to be having a party!!! It just kicked and danced most of the night, headbutting my bladder nicely at regular intervals. It's really low now. Anyway no doubt lo will sleep off its exciting night while I toil again at a series of meetings today, topped off by my inlaws' arrival this afternoon. But I'm not going to complain because lo's hyperactivity at least means it's alright despite my tendency to overdo it...

Have a good day all - and looking forward to more baby news!!!

nellieloula · 20/09/2007 07:52

Congratulations LES!! What lovely news - hope you're ok, must have been a bit of a shock. Quickest birth I've heard of! Take care

Choc - alice is right. you must be selfish now. get signed off and enjoy your maternity. I've beocme quite evangelical about this with other friends having their first - you just don't realise at the time how precious maternity leave is. Once you have a LO, it is never the same again and you just cna't switch off to enjoy the 'me' time in the same way. So say bye bye work hello Choc time - go to the cinema, see friends, out for dinner, rest, rest, rest, hibernate and enjoy it!! I am very !! Doing any of those things with a 2 yr old in tow isn't really the same!!

Floria and Lisa- hope you're ok? And how is Buffy I wonder??

Alice, great that things are calmer - often all it takes isn't it.

Mrs fish - your time will come! But I know how bloody hard it is when you go over - DS was 2 weeks late and it was the hardest time for me in the whole pregnancy. I wanted to kill people!! Hang on in there - and come and rant on here!

Hope you're ok J20 and Inzi - and big hello to everyone else. have a good day and rest up.

ejt1764 · 20/09/2007 08:45

Morning all ... had a wonderful time at choir last night - we're singing 2 new songs for an Eisteddfod competition in Llandudno (which I won't be singing at, as it's on 3rd November, and would mean an overnight stay - not practical with a small baby! ) ... there's one you just have to dance to - it's a Nigerian wedding song, the other one is an arrangement of "The Lord is My Shepherd" (in Welsh), beautiful harmonies, and just wonderful to sing ...

Guess which one Madame chose to dance / squirm to?

Every time she kicked last night, if I moved, somebody in the choir would mouth at me "Are you ok?" ... I think they were worried I'd go into labour there and then!

Anyway, I had 2 hours of contractions in the night last night - every 10 minutes or so ... but nothing since about 4am ...

oh, and Choc - am going to second nellie ... this baby is too precious, and your health is too important ... either be firm about not working silly hours, or threaten to start your maternity leave early ... harsh as it sounds, they will manage without you (although I get at least 1 email a day from my replacement asking about what to do about x, y, or z ... but it makes me feel special! )

LES - hope Zach is ok very soon - and although I'm a bit of the quick delivery, I am aware that it may have been very traumatic ... hope you feel ok soon!

alice - glad you've managed to clear the air ... I find that if I rant on here, I don't feel the need so much to rant at dh! Good for everybody, I think!

Anyway, now going back to bed for a bit, as the contractions last night obviously kept me awake, and I'm now going to go and catch up on some sleep!

hi everyone!

just a quick post from me.

as you know ive popped!scarlette grace was born sunday night at 8.05pm by emergency section.she was taken to scbu, and on monday nigt was transferred to alder hey,as she had a blocked bowel.
they decided to operate last night (she came out of theatre at 11.30pm)and had to remove quite a lot of her bowel.thankfully they didnt have to fit an iliostomy (sp?) bag.
i discharged myself yesterday (havent been too well, had to have a blood transfusion that only finished yesterday morning) and am now back home.dh is with scarlette and im torn in bits as i want to be with my baby.i cant even remember what she looks like.ive got a little polaroid fuzzy pic that scbu gave me.
anyway, theyve said that she is doing ok (doctors havent been yet to see her this morning) and that if all goes well she should be transferred back to bangor within 10 days and home within 14.
i'll let you all know how she gets on.

hope everyone is ok!

MrsFish · 20/09/2007 09:13

buffy {{hugs}}

i really hope everything will be ok, and you make sure you rest as much as possible, we're all thinking of you

well, after all that hard work i did yesterday to get lo down as far as possible, she moved back up this morning, grrr, am starting to think i was imagining the bit of show that i thought i had yesterday, maybe was wishful thinking!

slept ok for a change, only got up 4 times and got dd to rub some cream into my swollen feet this morning, to which she said 'you do know its not going to go away until you've had the baby don't you?' hmm thanks for that dd, i am aware of it!

having a lazyish day, going to hoover the house and mop the floors but thats all, am waiting for my new mob to be delivered, a bright pink one

mrsF-should definately be you next, i'm fed up and i've got 13 days to go!

anyone heard from Lisa yet?

MrsFish · 20/09/2007 10:01

Just been to see mw, she reckons he is still head down and maybe dropped a little, but wouldn't say how far. Everything else fine and she will see me in two weeks... TWO WEEKS!!! I want him out before then so off to town in a little while to get raspberry leaf tea, fresh pineapple and dh is going to think all his b'days have come at once this week

MrsFish · 20/09/2007 10:02

Oh and to be a bit rude for a minute... when she says lots of nipple stimulation, do they mean just tweek and twirl them around a bit?

muppetgirl · 20/09/2007 10:22

HI all,

Congratulations buffy!!

I've not been on due to being over emotional again i really don't think these prgcy hormones do me any good!

Monday eve had Ollie say to me that daddy was his best friend and when i asked if i was his friend and he said no, that daddy was my friend.
Did get a lovely hand painting from nursery and a beautiful picture of him with a green hand so he's still my best friend!!

I saw the mw on tues and she was fab telling me that the water issue ( i was told I had too much at the scan the week before) is okay but it does add to my annoyance about a bigger baby and now too much water. SHe did say that the body can only get so big and the excess water can bring the baby on early as the pressure on the cervix (? I thinkshe said cervix) gets to much. Oh, well, there is hope I feel heavy, uncomfortable, achy and absolutely knackered. Saw my psychologist on tues dalso and she's still pleased with everything and says although I feel emotional nad have had 2 outbursts she says they're prgcy related and not depression returning so are feeling better about that.

SOrry to hear all of the aches and pains but the babies are just so deternined to be Sept births!!

The kitchen was delivered yesterday and is now taking up the garages, the skip is being delivered this afternoon in order for the kitchen fitters to start tomorrow... My brother and his dp are arriving on Sat and staying for 5 days (whist the kitchen is fitted) going to be a busy few days in the muppet household. Good for taking your mind of things though.

Speak later
Emma

Morning everyone

Lisa, How you doing?

LES - CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of baby Zach. I hope this LO of mine is as quick.

Choc - good luck talking to your line manager. I agree with the others, that your maternity leave is too precious. I stopped work a month before DD wqas born (5 years ago) and was glad that I did.

DP had a few weeks off as well and we enjoyed the time we had together before she arrived.

unicorn Good luck with your scan.

buffy - sorry to hear that Scarlett has needded an op already. Hopefully she will be home with you soon. Make the most of the time that she is in hospital as you will be shattered when she comes home.

Mrs Fish I know what you mean about being[{envy] of those waking up to new babies today. I WANT MY LITTLE GIRL NOW.

Sorry if I have missed anyone out, I hope you are all ok and LOs are holding on in there.

ejt1764 · 20/09/2007 12:16

Hi again all ... feel better after a sleep!

MrsFish - lulumama is the person to ask about nipple stimulation - but here's a link she posted earlier in the week.

j20 - I'm with you there on the feet - mine feel like somebody has pumped large amounts of extra water into them!

muppetgirl - I really hope the kitchen fitters get a move on so that you can have some peace! dh decided to take all the internal doors of in our house and get them dipped and stripped the week before my edd with DS ... then couldn't rehang them for a couple of weeks because they needed to dry ... I blame that for the fact that ds was so late! (16 days!!) Glad that the psych is pleased with you - you are allowed to have outbursts ... I burst into tears all over everybody in church on Sunday - for absolutely no reason at all ... (mind you, the thought of the PILs coming and disapproving of our plans was possibly the reason! )

And the idea about splitting the list into the "hads" and the "dues" is fab!!

unicorn - good luck with your scan!

winnie - lovely to see you - have fun with your friends, and enjoy your talk with the MW.

greedy - how could we forget you?

Right, am going to have some lunch ... see you later!

Katsh · 20/09/2007 12:28

Congratulations to Monalisa,Buffy and LES. Best wishes for the poorly babies - Buffy, can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling about everything. Do hope that your new daughter is doing ok after all her surgery and that you are starting to feel a bit better post-transfusion.

I have to say I can't quite understand the wish some of you have to have early babies. I have 2 1/2 weeks to go and I'm really hoping that this lo stays in until then. I know it's hard to be patient, but really they generally do better the longer they have up to 40 weeks. And for those having no.1 your life will change irrevocably in ways you never could have imagine. Just enjoy your last few weeks of rest !

Hope FT and Lisa are doing ok.
