Hiya all, I totally fell off this thread - mainly due to a lovely trip to Rome - technically our honeymoon as we got married at the end of October.

I relaxed quite a lot while we were away, I had one small glass of red wine, way too much coffee, a delicious tiramisu and some (cooked) brie... So if baby is born with two heads it will all be my own fault.

Yesterday was stepdaughters birthday can't believe she is 8 we did soft play with a few friends and then back to my mum's for tea and cake.

I have my 20wk scan on Wednesday and finally getting round to my flu jab and Whooping cough vaccine on Thursday. Still haven't heard anything from my mystery additional blood test and my urine sample came back as borderline again for UTI so I have had to do another tube of wee.

Hope everyone else is ticking along nicely I am definitely starting to show now, still not convinced if I can feel wiggles or just wind!

Morning ladies, sorry I’ve been quiet I had a busy week! Got home from work on Friday and was convinced someone was in the house - things had moved and the door between the kitchen and the house was open so the dogs were running free! Was having a wee and on the phone to DH protesting that he needed to come home and check the house when my parents appeared around the corner - they’d flown over from Ireland as a surprise 😂
Today marks 20 weeks for me, finally halfway 🥳 and scan next Tuesday. Still not much to report, showing more but not feeling a lot of movement, just the odd flutter.
I’m glad all the scans so far have gone so well! I hope anyone who has had since or has one coming up gets all good news too ❤️
@HairsprayBabe that sounds amazing, one glass of wine won’t make a difference 😘 and as for coffee I’ve gone back to mine, but 2-3 a day rather than 15 or so haha. Won’t be as good as your proper Italian stuff though!
I know most of us have said, but have most found out the gender? We’re still hoping to keep our little bean’s a surprise! Have a good hump day everyone ❤️

My scan is Tuesday too. Still haven't told anyone (accept a close friend). If the scan goes well I won't hide it anymore but not really into announcing it, I'll let a few people at work know and let it all hang out. Not feeling anything either, can't wait to start feeling him. Anyone nesting yet?

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/03/2020 12:47

@LillyLeaf you've done so well to keep it to yourself for so long! Wish we'd done the same. I thought 16 weeks was good but kinda wish we'd waited longer. The anxiety is killing me and other people only talking baby to me is making it so much worse. I'm 19+4 tomorrow for my scan. Just praying it all goes well. We're doing up our new house so can't nest for a couple of months. How about you?

WooMaWang · 04/03/2020 14:53

@LillyLeaf I have told practically no one yet.

We had our 20 week scan today (he's a boy) so we're going to tell people. We'll tell the kids this evening. DP told his boss too, so he can arrange some paternity/shared parental leave.

It's a bit annoying because we're getting married and all the cynics we know will think it's because of the pregnancy. It's not though. Both the marriage and the pregnancy are because we just want to be together. Oh well. People can think what they like really.

LillyLeaf · 04/03/2020 15:58

We are starting to sort our place out, doing odd DIY jobs that have been on my to do list for ages. I need to repaint quite a bit and obviously start the nursery at some point. I really need to get into my gardern (I have thoughts of being on mat leave chilling in a beautiful garden). I've been so tired lately so not getting much done. I have wondered how long I could go without telling anyone, I don't think anyone at work has a clue and I think they'll be really surprised when I tell them how far I am. My scan anxiety is killing me too.

LucyLucyT · 04/03/2020 16:22

Had my repeat scan today, just to get a couple of views of the heart they couldn't get last week. All seemed to be okay which is a relief.

I would like to nest but need to get our house rewired! My partner and I are rubbish at sorting these things out, think we both get a bit daunted about getting tradespeople in and knowing what we want but definitely need to get a move on!

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/03/2020 18:02

Do you need a full bladder for the 20 week scan?

Glad yours went well 😊 @LucyLucyT

HairsprayBabe · 04/03/2020 18:23

I didn't have much choice in telling people because I was so sick, if I could have left it longer I would have.

Our 20wk scan went really well baby is still a mystery sex, I am still getting boy vibes. DH had a funny turn in the scan room - baby moving around loads made him feel a bit green bless him!!!

I am 100% sure I am feeling movements now, still don't really look pregnant, hopefully I get a nice little bump in the next few weeks because I am still in my normal jeans and just looking like I have eaten a bit too much bread.

@squirrelnutkins1 I didn't have a full bladder scan was at half 8 so I got up at 7 had a wee and then drank a pint of water at about half 7 and I didn't have any issues.

I also forgot my green notes because I am stupid 🤦‍♀️🤷 wasn't a problem though

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/03/2020 18:27

Aww gorgeous pic! I'm thinking boy too. Hope hubby is ok! Xx

LillyLeaf · 04/03/2020 19:03

@HairsprayBabe that's great news and an amazing picture.

Ethellsmum · 04/03/2020 19:43

I’m 20+2 now and so glad I’m Over the half way mark. We had our scan yesterday - all was ok and still a girl! So I feel more relaxed about sharing the news.
I filled in my maternity leave forms yesterday and sorted out using my annual leave etc so it’s starting to feel more real. I’m wanting to get the house sorted too but I just don’t have the energy.
I’m back at the hospital at 28 weeks for growth scans and VTE injections.

Missdrifter · 04/03/2020 20:11

Congratulations on all those who have recently had scans! It’s nice to be counting down instead of up now. I still haven’t really felt movement, hoping I do soon though 😊 @ethellsmum I also have growth scans at 28 weeks due to my low pappA levels.

LillyLeaf · 05/03/2020 21:05

@squirrelnutkins1 I hope your scan went well today.

squirrelnutkins1 · 05/03/2020 21:17

@LillyLeaf all was good thanks with our girl 😊 how are you? X

LillyLeaf · 05/03/2020 21:26

@squirrelnutkins1 that's fantastic, it must be such a relief. 4 day count down until mine.

squirrelnutkins1 · 05/03/2020 21:33

@LillyLeaf it really was. Hoping my anxiety keeps at bay for a while now. It was amazing seeing everything in such clear detail like the spine, ribs and hands. Oooh not long now 😊 xx

Kiki275 · 05/03/2020 21:39

Hi all,
had our 20 week scan today. Babies appear to be growing normally but couldn't get full measurements for Twin 1 so will get them on growth scan in two weeks. There are differences in amniotic fluids levels which is a concern. Twin 2 has too much & Twin 1 is within range but borderline too little. Back for a scan with consultant on Tuesday.
These babies are really putting me through it x

amysara24 · 06/03/2020 11:10

@Kiki275 I was thinking of you this week and wondering how you were getting on with your two babies 💗 I hope everything goes well for you with the consultant.
Our 20 week scan is Tuesday at 20+6, looking forward to it to see baby again in more detail, but also hoping everything is ok. Anxiety is building a bit in the wait for this scan.

Hope everyone is ok! Had our scan today, everything looks good with baby - legs are still 2 weeks ahead of expected so looks like we’ve got a tall one! I have to go back for another scan at 32 weeks as my placenta is low but fingers crossed by then it’ll have rectified itself 🤞🏽

squirrelnutkins1 · 10/03/2020 19:32

@Kiki275 How did you get on?

@amysara24 Glad you got on ok 😊 x

squirrelnutkins1 · 10/03/2020 19:32

@LillyLeaf how did you get on as well? Xx

ninemonthwait · 10/03/2020 19:34

Glad all went well x

Missdrifter · 10/03/2020 19:48

Pleased it all went well @amysara24, it’s such a relief isn’t it. Are you feeling any movement yet! When in bed I think I sometimes feel some bubble like feelings but nothing else yet x
