Thanks, it's not good news. We've got Twin-to-twin Transfusion Syndrome, so referred to s a specialist tomorrow morning for more options x

ninemonthwait · 10/03/2020 20:19

Sorry to hear this @Kiki275. Sending you virtual hugs x

LillyLeaf · 10/03/2020 20:46

My scan went well, everything looked good. @amysara24 great you had a good scan too.

@Kiki275 I'm so sorry.

squirrelnutkins1 · 10/03/2020 21:51

@Kiki275 Ah I'm sorry. Hopefully you'll get some more information tomorrow. Hugs xx

HairsprayBabe · 11/03/2020 10:19

Bah - MN ate my post

@Kiki275 Flowers Thinking of you I hope you get good news going forwards.

@amysara24 our baby measured long in the leg too!

I am trying to work out when baby is awake or not but so far movements seem pretty random.

I still don't look pregnant, I really want a lovely cute basket ball bump but unless I fully stick my tummy out I just look a bit bloated. I bought s12 maternity jeans from Dorothy Perkins in the sale and I hate them, they don't fit properly, the thighs fit ok but the hips is ridiculously big, the top of the bump band bit is super baggy on my ribcage. I feel like I would have to have triplets to fill the bump band bit.

Usually the only jeans I like are s10 in the Newlook Yasmin jeans so I think I will head over and try on a few pairs.

If you are a second timer where did you get your maternity jeans?

amysara24 · 11/03/2020 10:42

@Kiki275 I’m so sorry, hopefully the consultant can tell you more. Thinking of you 💗

@Missdrifter I can definitely feel flutters now - I’m aware when baby is moving a lot if that makes sense. I’ve called DH a few times and he’s felt the odd tap with his hand on my tummy!
I’ve adopted the maternity leggings and tunic look for work, and some outfits make me look more pregnant than others if that makes sense.
Nursery furniture arrived yesterday, I’m looking forward to starting to get the room organised. I’m a crazy organised person so i know I’m a bit early 🤦🏽‍♀️

@Kiki275 sorry to hear that it must be a worrying time. I hope the consultant meeting goes well.

@HairsprayBabe I have bought a couple of pairs from ASOS but I feel like they are still a bit big.

Has anyone else been told they have an anterior placenta?

@amysara24 you are super organised but it’s all exciting. I have started to buy a few bits now x

ninemonthwait · 11/03/2020 13:38

@Missdrifter it's an anterior placenta for me! In the last week I have been feeling baby a bit but it's like a rolling sensation, so hard to explain and only every now and then. Can't wait to start feeling properly! My Midwife said it was likely to be around 24 weeks because the positioning of my placenta!

squirrelnutkins1 · 11/03/2020 18:52

Another anterior placenta here. You're the only person I've heard say about rolling sensation! @ninemonthwait That's exactly how it feels to me! I've felt a real lot of movement the last few days. The midwife I saw at the hospital said sometimes an anterior placenta makes movement later but not always.

@Kiki275 how did you get on?

LillyLeaf · 11/03/2020 19:18

Another anterior placenta here. I've felt rolling too, no kicks or jabs only rolling feeling, really strange.

HairsprayBabe · 11/03/2020 19:23

Mine is more jabs and pokes really weird can't remember what is going on with my placenta, took them a while to find it at the scan though I need to look at my notes again Grin

Kiki275 · 11/03/2020 21:16

Thanks @squirrelnutkins1

Today they confirmed Stage 3 TTTS. I'm off down to Birmingham tomorrow for a laser procedure to sever the connections in the placenta and drain of 3-4L of amniotic fluid which accumulated x

LucyLucyT · 12/03/2020 08:51

@Kiki275 sorry to hear about the complications must be worrying for you. I'm glad you are getting a procedure quickly, wish you and your babies all the best x

squirrelnutkins1 · 12/03/2020 09:24

Oh wow, sending lots of hugs and positive vibes. Let us know how you are if you feel up to it @Kiki275 Thanks

Missdrifter · 12/03/2020 16:10

@Kiki275 I hope it’s all gone well for you today x

amysara24 · 12/03/2020 18:13

@Kiki275 hopefully as they’re moving quick they’ll be able to do something for you. I can’t imagine how you’re feeling. Thinking of you & I hope today’s procedure went well xx

@kiki275 I'm so sorry to hear about the TTTS and the surgery. It must be so worrying for you. I really hope the surgery went well and your two little babies are doing well. Please let us know how you get on. Pregnancy is such a worrying time anyway let alone when you're having to deal with this too.

I've been following the group but haven't posted for a while as we're having health challenges with the baby and ongoing tests and monitoring. It's been great to read everyone's positive news but @kiki275 I wanted you to know it's not been smooth sailing for everyone (as it might seem in this group) and I'm sure there are a few others like me that have stayed off the group for a while to try to deal with their challenges privately. We still haven't announced our pregnancy and I'm over 22 weeks now. Anyway, I'm here if you wanted to talk and keeping everything crossed for you!

@hairspraybabe I've also not found any comfy jeans! I'm living in leggings at the moment and keen to find some that look a bit more 'jean like' or even a bit more dressed up. If anyone has recommendations it would be great to hear!

kiki275 · 14/03/2020 12:27

Hi everyone, Sorry for late reply, it’s been an eventful 24 hours. Procedure didn’t go to plan entirely due to previous bleeds. Doctor did a scan this morning and still have 2 little heartbeats though so hopefully home later today, with lots of close monitoring to follow. Not sure what long-term outlook is like, still a very high chance of miscarriage x

kiki275 · 14/03/2020 12:29

@LittleMrsMama thank you for those kind words. We're all so close to the 24 week mark and the benefits/challenges that will bring. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your little one too xx

LucyLucyT · 14/03/2020 12:54

@Kiki275 sorry that it hasn't gone as well as hoped, I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Thinking of you and hoping for the best outcome x

Similarly @LittleMrsMama I hope your issues settle soon and everything goes okay x

Missdrifter · 14/03/2020 20:27

@Kiki275 sorry to hear that things didn’t run smoothly, I am really hoping things work out for you.

@LittleMrsMama it’s nice to hear from you but I am sorry to hear you are having a bit of a worrying time, keeping everything crossed that everything is ok. I stayed off the group for a little bit when we received high risk screening results, it was such a worrying time but we were very fortunate that a follow up harmony test came back low risk.

I hope everyone else is doing well xx

LucyLucyT · 16/03/2020 23:44

How is everyone feeling after today's announcements?
I work in a place where I could very much be exposed to the virus and my office is situated next door to where covid patients will be. My partner has Cystic fibrosis and it's a major worry for us.
Luckily my service is cancelling all non urgent clinics and home visits (horrible for patients though, but most are relieved we are cancelling). After today I think I am essentially going to work from home and support patients over the phone as much as possible. It's a hard time for them as they all have chronic respiratory conditions.

Whilst it's all a bit scary I'm trying to keep positive and remember I have a roof over my head and a job that will continue to pay me. Very lucky compared to others.

ninemonthwait · 17/03/2020 07:40

It's a very anxious time! I m working from home from today with the University going to remote working from Thursday. Not sure if I will be back in the office before Mat Leave now which is a little sad as didn't even say bye to people when I left yesterday thinking I would be back in once a week! Hope everyone is keeping safe xxx

Missdrifter · 17/03/2020 08:08

It’s a very worrying time. I am a teacher and the head called this morning and has told me that I need to stay at home now, so I am assuming that’s the same for all pregnant women who are working in schools.

I hope everyone manages to stay safe ❤️

amysara24 · 17/03/2020 17:13

@Missdrifter also a teacher and I had a phone all last night to say the same - WFH for 12 weeks! Though it’s not all schools as a friend in another council (who has MS herself) said her and her pregnant colleague were told to carry on as normal as it was only guidance!!
@LucyLucyT I hope you and your DH keep safe 💗 working from home will at least alleviate some of the worry and stress.
DH and I are both at home now for the foreseeable - how long before we drive each other insane?! 🤯
Keep yourselves & your babies safe everyone 💗
