BelliniButterfly · 29/12/2019 20:28

I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

Bathwater that does sound like a lot of work! Sounds sensible to do it gradually rather than all in one. Will you try and do the structural stuff (staircase, heating etc) before September?

Sipperskipper · 02/01/2020 08:15

@NameChange30 yes that’s very true! When I met up with some of the mums from my hypnobirthing class they were aghast that I ended up with an emergency section - ‘but you did hypnobirthing!’

NameChange30 · 02/01/2020 08:27

Yes it's a common misconception that hypnobirthing is only for "natural" births and can't be used if there is any kind of intervention.
In fact, there was a mum on the hypnobirthing course who ended up with a c-section and by all accounts her experience was much more positive than mine (vaginal delivery with just gas and air) and she had a doula which I'm sure was a factor.

TG2019 · 02/01/2020 08:32

@xiaomao I went to see my GP but I didn’t need to - got given a leaflet for self referral!

Also googled ‘what to do I’m pregnant’ no answers.. haha

HugeAgeGap · 02/01/2020 09:12

@MrsP0109 I had dizzy spells at 10dpo, which is what made me think to test! It came and went quite quickly and not had any since....yet!

@Sunshinexx95 I actually don't know what facilities are here for early scans but if I continue on getting normal symptoms I'll just hold out for 12 weeks. The only reason I'd think to do an earlier one is if the symptoms suddenly stopped. I'm just basing this on last time, I pretty much was sick from finding out until the 12 weeks scan! 12dpo today and still no symptoms. Haven't re-tested but the FRER at 11dpo was very clear. AF due Sunday.

HugeAgeGap · 02/01/2020 10:13

@Crazymummyto3 here we are x

Crazymummyto3 · 02/01/2020 11:08

Thankyou @HugeAgeGap ☺️

I got my BFP on New Year's Eve, so the best way to start the new year! According to my lmp I'll be due 7th September, so we're the same at the moment @Clairet20 and @Roxy8203!

This will be our fourth baby. Our other children are 10, 7 and 2. I still find this beginning bit especially nerve-wrecking, even though my other three pregnancies have all been very straightforward. The wait until the first scan seems to take forever!

Roxy8203 · 02/01/2020 11:19

Congratulations @crazymumto3!! It is really nerve racking but I'm hoping this time it all goes well for me. I always wanted a summer baby ☀️

Sunshinexx95 · 02/01/2020 12:22

Hello everyone,
Is it just me, I am worried about early miscarriage.. I have never been pregnant before. How do I reassure myself? BiscuitConfusedSad I know I am being negative but a lot of women miscarry at first trimester. I am only 3+5
Sorry for bringing the thread down I know we should be positive Sad

BelliniButterfly · 02/01/2020 12:45

@Sunshinexx95 welcome! I'm sure I'm not alone in saying it's totally normal and understandable to be worried about early miscarriage. This is my third pregnancy, I've been so lucky to never have experienced miscarriage yet it's something I still always worry about. Try and take it a day at a time and don't drive yourself crazy worrying about symptoms etc. This is a great place to post any worries or concerns as we are all in the same boat.

Would anyone be interested if I created a private Facebook group for September 2020 babies? It might be easier to keep track of posts and contact each other etc?

I have been a member of two other similar groups with my other pregnancies and found the support invaluable infact both groups are still going strong a few years later!

If enough people are interested in happy to create the group. Let me know your thoughts x

@Sunshinexx95 I think your feelings are completely normal. Just try to relax and go with the flow, you can't really do anything at this point to influence anything that might happen other than staying healthy and stress free, just have to let time pass! x

Roxy8203 · 02/01/2020 13:36

@BelliniButterfly I'd be up for joining a Facebook page. I find it difficult to keep track of conversations and people here.

@sunshinexx95 I know how you feel and unfortunately i went through it in July. Try not to think about it and take time to relax. Unfortunately there isn't anything that can be done to prevent it. I paid for an early scan to try and get reassurance, this might be something worth considering?

Crazymummyto3 · 02/01/2020 13:45

@BelliniButterfly I would definitely be interested in that! I started off on a forum like this when I got engaged 13 years ago then we formed a Facebook group and have been such a support to each other ever since

Bathwater · 02/01/2020 13:49

@BelliniButterfly I’d be up for a private fb group. I was on one and it was really supportive and was easier to keep track! I don’t know how to set it up though but happy to help with admin.

@Sunshinexx95 it’s very normal to be worried and I agree with the others keep looking after yourself. You’re not bringing the thread down at all, it’s a safe place to talk about your pregnancy. No one talks about the first trimester I find in real life so it’s not until you get pregnant you realise this suddenly pressure.

@NameChange30 I’d like the kitchen working and heating system in (we’re looking at going fully solar or with ground source). Everything else can wait. I’ll live with just painting my neon mint green hallway and bathing in avocado ceramic ha. Are you aiming to have everything done?

Crazymummyto3 · 02/01/2020 14:02

@BelliniButterfly I'd be happy to help as admin on the group too.

@Sunshinexx95 Feel free to come and talk about whatever you want to on here, chances are at least one other person feels whatever you are feeling! I feel exactly the same too and even though it's my fourth pregnancy and I've never had anything go wrong before, I still feel exactly as worried each time. It's perfectly normal to worry so much about something that we want so much. Silly as it sounds I keep having little milestones in my head a feel better when I hit each one - 6 weeks, then 8 weeks, then 12 weeks, then hearing the heartbeat at 16 weeks. I've always found the first 12 weeks to be the toughest wait though and know I will keep on taking tests like a crazy woman until I've seen baby on the screen 🙈

fizzyheart · 02/01/2020 14:12

@BelliniButterfly I think a Facebook group would be a fab idea. Happy to be admin too, although I see you've already received some offers.

MrsForsyth · 02/01/2020 14:33

I'd like a Facebook page.. had one when I had my daughter and it's great place to bounce things off each other

xiaomao · 02/01/2020 14:57

@BelliniButterfly a private Facebook group sounds like a great idea! I don't find this app the easiest to use but having other people to talk to is amazing when it's something so new and different!

Crazymummyto3 · 02/01/2020 15:01

Hubby is going into town to pick up a couple of Clearblue digitals. I got my first positive on a FRER on Tuesday, do you think a positive would show up on a digital by now or should I wait until the morning with fmu? The photos attached have shown line progress from Tuesday at the top to today at the bottom

September 2020?
BelliniButterfly · 02/01/2020 15:06

Perfect everyone! I'll set up the group this afternoon d

A Facebook group sounds like a great idea! 👍🏻

NCON · 02/01/2020 15:14

@bellinibutterfly I'd love to join too, can't keep up on here lol

NameChange30 · 02/01/2020 15:44

I might join the FB group after my 12 week scan.

Bathwater
Lol at living in your mint hallway Grin Sounds exciting, fully solar powered would be amazing.
We want to extend the ground floor and change the layout, this will include knocking down external and internal walls and building new ones, and fitting a new kitchen and utility, various bits of plumbing and electricity to install new radiators and lighting... so we will definitely need to move out for a bit. We've just appointed an architect and when we discussed timings she said the earliest we could start building work is the end of August, so there's no way any of it will be finished before baby arrives! But I think we could do some jobs on the first floor sooner than that, we want to redo the bathroom and decorate the room that will eventually be baby's. It's was always going to be a busy year even before I got pregnant Confused

BelliniButterfly · 02/01/2020 16:14

Could the people that want to join send me their fb name so I can add you? I need a certain amount of people before I can share a link. Feel free to message me privately
