I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

@ShiningStarz you spend it however suits you best! And I don't blame you, it would be lovely to have that reassurance and extra care. I'm feeling ok and yes very excited but also nervous about the scan. I'm still being positive so going there expecting to see a wiggle bean with a strong heartbeat.

ShiningStarz · 24/01/2020 15:24

@Roxy8203 I’m so excited for you!! I’ll be checking in tomorrow. You don’t need any luck!! Enjoy the ❤️ Xx

ShiningStarz · 24/01/2020 19:44

How’s everyone feeling?

I’m 7w tomorrow!
Boobs still sore and very full
Very tired and generally yawning lots during the day
Burping frequently
Still got tinge brown mixed in with discharge
Not really feeling sick but definitely bit different at times, like waves of heat almost.
Still crampy, they come and go
Hungry!!

Evening all, just wanted to see if anyone else is in a similar boat,

I went to the drs about an unrelated illness and mentioned I had just found out I was pregnant so wasn't sure what I could take. (5 weeks tomorrow so still very early)

The dr gave me a check over and checked my blood pressure, she said it was high, took it four times.
She asked me to get checked next week to keep an eye on it. But I was closely monitored at the end of my daughters pregnancy for my blood pressure, works very stressful atm and I'm really nervous about what this could mean for the pregnancy if I can't get it under control ? Or ways I can try to keep my blood pressure down ?

(I had also been diagnosed with depression and anxiety after the birth of my daughter, which is probably not helping either)

ShiningStarz · 24/01/2020 19:56

Hi @lastonetime I’m sorry to hear of your depression and anxiety after the birth of your daughter. I hope you are doing better.

You can ask your gp to refer you to a blood pressure specialist. I’m sure it’s a common complaint and easily rectified ❤️

Bert2020 · 24/01/2020 22:41

@lastonetime I actually saw a blood pressure consultant this evening. Try not to worry too much, there are things that can be done. I have anxiety too so know it’s easier said than done but after the appointment I do feel better for it. My booking in apt bp was raised and in my previous pregnancy I had PIH at 40 weeks. For now we are monitoring weekly, after my 12 week scan at 13 weeks I will go on 150mg of aspirin and if bp raises onto labetalol for the remainder of this pregnancy. The consultant said walk, keep walking and exercise as much as possible.

Hi all, just catching up!

Been ill this week with an awful cold/flu type thing. Awful as you can't take anything!

7 weeks today and morning sickness has been here for a few days. Kicks in at about 4 am and eases about 2pm then starts again in the evening. Arghhh. The hangover description is correct and I've gone off everything bar bread and chips! 🤢

@namechange how are you? Can you try get a physio referral I had SPD with my first and it was awful saw a physio and sorted me right out and I kept those tips in mind for my second and kept it a bay. Hoping to do so this time!

@Sunshinexx95 try not to worry. I do loads of jumps in exercise and my three year old jumped right on my stomach last week! These little babies are really well protected in there.

@lastonetime sorry to hear that I have no experience but I would mention to midwife and try get seen by a specialist?

Sounds like lots of early scans going on, hope they all go well. Hopefully I'll get my 12 week scan through soon and have something to look forward to!

ShiningStarz · 25/01/2020 08:02

@Roxy8203 ❤️

Roxy8203 · 25/01/2020 10:07

Just been for my early scan. Had an external which showed a little flickering heartbeat and measuring 2 days ahead of my LMP date so feeling much more relaxed now. They offered an internal to show more detail but I didn't go for that this time. Midwife on Monday, all starting to feel really and to reassure ladies without symptoms, all I have is sore boobs and slight increase in sense of smell so it's normal and everyone is different xx

ShiningStarz · 25/01/2020 10:26

Awww@Roxy8203 that’s wonderful news ❤️
So pleased for you. Are you 8w 5d today?
Hope you can relax a little now XX

Roxy8203 · 25/01/2020 11:16

@ShiningStarz I thought I was 7+5 but measuring 8+1 although she said it's not so easy to tell on an external

ShiningStarz · 25/01/2020 12:29

That’s fab!
I can’t wait to get to 12 weeks. Would be so lovely to be able to share with family and friends.

Roxy8203 · 25/01/2020 13:26

I've told 2 friends and my parents, oh and a friend at work who announced she is 12 weeks so we aren't far apart but that it so far.

ShiningStarz · 25/01/2020 13:36

I’d feel happier waiting until 12 week scan. I’m still very nervous. Roll on end Feb!!

Sunshinexx95 · 25/01/2020 19:40

Hi everyone,
How r you guys feeling today?
I have my first midwife visit on Monday and I am planing to tell her about my worries.. I would like to hear the baby's heartbeat .. I don't know if that would be possible without an ultrasound. I know she won't do an ultrasound. But I am so worried because I have 0 symptoms what so ever. I got to hear the babys heartbeat at week 6+0 but not I don't feel anything'. On Monday I will be 7+3

What do u think guys?

Sparkle0920 · 25/01/2020 19:53

Hi @Sunshinexx95 the community midwife won’t be able to hear the baby’s heartbeat until around 15-16 weeks, the uterus isn’t out of your pelvis yet so it’s not possible much earlier! I’ve read a lot of people without many/any symptoms and all has been okay but I understand that it is such a worrying time, we all just want reassurance that everything is okay! It’ll be nice to have your first appointment still and be all official 😊 xx

LatteLover12 · 25/01/2020 20:11

Evening ladies, I survived a lunch out and trip to the pub without anyone realising I wasn't drinking - phew!

Next hurdle is sorting out a GP/midwife. I've decided to change over in case it takes ages to see the midwife and get booked in.

Is anyone else looking ahead to things they've booked and thinking 'hmm...how am I going to do that...?'

We've got gig tickets for an amazing band in April and we've got standing tickets. That's not going to work is it?!

Then there's the hen do I'm meant to be going on...

Anyone else?

Roxy8203 · 25/01/2020 20:45

@Sunshinexx95 I'm not sure when you can hear the heartbeat but I think it's probably still too early. I had an early scan today and saw the heartbeat but couldn't hear it. My only real symptom is sore boobs so I don't think it's unusual to not have morning sickness etc. Let your midwife know your concerns. I'm sure if they can do anything to help they will.

Sunshinexx95 · 25/01/2020 20:54

Oh guys I am so worried .. I don't know what to do :( I just don't feel pregnant at all... I have a private booked scan in the 6th so maybe I should just be patient and wait ..thank you guys for your support really.. don't know what to do without u BiscuitThanks

LatteLover12 · 25/01/2020 20:56

Can you book another scan @Sunshinexx95 ?

Once you've seen the heartbeat at 8 weeks the risk of mc drops to 2%

Sunshinexx95 · 25/01/2020 21:04

@LatteLover12
I booked the earliest scan available because it was private so it is on the 6th but I am wishing I could go earlier...

Babytrain89 · 25/01/2020 21:15

Hi everyone!
Just checking in! Ive booked a scan for when im 8+1. Super excited but also absolutely terrified of there being nothing there.
Last couple of days have been tough...mentally and physically. Boobs all over the shop but hurting like hell. Tiredness like nothing else...fell asleep laat 2 afternoons. Also some nausea.

@Sunshinexx95 it may be you are one of the lucky ones with no symptoms! Try not to worry, I know its hard. Ive started to try and rationalise my thoughts when I'm feeling negative...works sometimes....not others. But helps to think slowly and logically sometimes. I wish I could just step back and enjoy the journey more after trying for so long! Xx

LatteLover12 · 25/01/2020 21:16

Ah okay @Sunshinexx95

A friend of mine felt like this in her second pregnancy. She didn't have a single symptom (except a missed period) and she was convinced there was something wrong. She booked an early scan to check things out and it was TWINS 😲

Worrying won't change anything. Today you are pregnant. I hope your next scan goes well.

ShiningStarz · 25/01/2020 21:20

@Sunshinexx95@LatteLover12 I have a hen do too!! I’m bridesmaid too!! It’s in 3 weeks time!! 🙈

I heard the heartbeat at 6.5 weeks @Sunshinexx95
If you are concerned I would go to the epu.
My only symptom is slightly sore boobs!! I’m burping a bit but I’m defo not having any ms.
I’m sure everything is ok. The epu will help especially if you are anxious xx

ShiningStarz · 25/01/2020 21:23

@Babytrain89 having a giggle at your comment on ‘enjoying the journey’!! I’m bloody petrified!! I thought once I got the bfp I could be happy and relax! Quite the opposite!! 🤣
