I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

I'm "lucky" in that I'll get an early scan on the NHS because of the TMFR last time and also because I made a pals complaint to the hospital as the sonographer at my 12 week scan was so unprofessional. Even before it was bad news he was terrible, moaning that he was ill and that the baby was small and hard to measure and then saying it all looks fine come back in 10 days when baby is bigger. I pushed to have everything done because I had a horrid 12 week scan with DS and all of a sudden it was like oh actually there's a huge problem.

I'm definitely having the harmony test this time, I still can only get it at 12 weeks if the nuchal fold reading is high on the NHS so I'll just pay. It's £400 in London but to be avle to find out the results at 12 weeks possibly even before I think it's worth it. I also have had 2 horrible 12 weeks scans so really hope all ok this time and I can get the nhs scan after the harmony results and just enjoy it! I hate the first trimester!

Sorry to be a bit doom and gloom, I am really positive and keep reminding myself that DS was fine and no reason why this baby won't be

Seahawk80 · 30/12/2019 15:10

Also I know a LOT about the harmony / NHS testing and the pros and cons so feel free to ask if you have any questions!!

MrsForsyth · 30/12/2019 17:26

I took a test today and got two lines, one faint though and based on my last period I'd be due the 4th of September

NameChange30 · 30/12/2019 17:35

Seahawk
Thank you and sorry about your bad experiences Flowers

MrsForsyth
Hello and congrats! Smile

MrsForsyth · 30/12/2019 17:39

@namechange30 I hate the first trimester and will almost 100% book in for an early scan

I've been cramping as my period was due the 27th so been cramping for 3 daysSad

Sipperskipper · 30/12/2019 19:23

@Seahawk80 sorry you had such an awful experience, and that you went through a TFMR. Can’t imagine how horrendous it must have been, and how anxious you must be now.

I didn’t even have my NHS 12 week scan last time, as the one with the harmony (at the fetal medicine centre, if that’s where you are going?) was fantastic, and carried out by a specialist fetal medicine Dr. So in depth and they had so much time to talk us through everything.

Bluebirdinmyheart · 30/12/2019 20:04

Hello! Congratulations everyone. I’m due on the 4th. Excited, nervous and nauseous! I’ve got a 4 year old and 2 year old but i’ve had 4 previous losses so I feel like I can’t relax until I’m far enough along to feel baby move.

BelliniButterfly · 30/12/2019 20:30

Congratulations everyone! So lovely to see so many of us joining and sharing our experiences. I think I'm going to book a scan in the next couple of weeks to give me something to focus on. Anyone else absolutely shattered? I'm so tired it's how it always hits me and lasts till about 20 weeks 🙊🤦🏼‍♀️. Any tips on how to get through the tiredness with a 1 year old, 3 year old and work??

Thanks @Sipperskipper I will go to FMC too! I won't bore you with my whole medical history but I did have harmony there with DS. However I thought you also had to have the NHS scan and had it before the harmony results and was 1/13 for Downs and 1/15 for Edwards/ Patau. He was fine in the end but I had to have lots of extra scans because of the nuchal fold and my low Papp A hormone. I think I may well have similar results again so I'll have the NHS scan just so I'm on the radar for everything.

I feel a bit like it's just all about the tests for me and I can't get very excited. I've decided to try to be super healthy. I'm going to start couch to 5k as I'm reasonably fit but want to get back into running. I think that should go slow enough that it will be ok while pregnant and I'll listen to my body. It should help me to have something to aim for and count down to 12 weeks. Then I'll either be fitter which is good for pregnancy or if I do get bad news again I have something to focus on.

What's everyone doing for NYE?

Sipperskipper · 30/12/2019 21:20

Blimey @Seahawk80 sounds like really stressful scans.

Also need to get fitter. Have embrassingly put on 4 stone since DD and am so much less fit. Used to walk for miles every day with the dog but a very slow 2.5 year old who hates the pram has made that very difficult!

NCON · 31/12/2019 05:52

Hi everyone, congratulations to all! I got my BFP Christmas Day and from LMP I'm due Sep 4th. It's my first pregnancy so in that strange excited but afraid to get too excited stage. Got my 12 week scan for 24th Feb which feels like a lifetime away 😂 have been considering an early scan but I don't think I will 🤔 let's see how the next 8 weeks go as I may just book one in the end!

TG2019 · 31/12/2019 08:40

@NCON congratulations! Sane dates as me. First pregnancy too. Just waiting for my scan date, will be around the same time. Seems forever away 😂💖

Jmcaulf · 31/12/2019 14:24

Oh hi!!! Just joining! Preggo with number 3 but have absolutely no idea on how far along I am etc... I think I’ve found out super early and it seems we merely mentioned having a third and voila 🙄🤦‍♀️ Oops ah well, I wish baby dust to all 🥰🥰🥰

Clairet20 · 31/12/2019 15:09

Hi ladies, congratulations to all. I Tested 10 dpo on Saturday and got my bfp. Due 7th September based on my lmp. Time feels like it is standing still.

NCON · 31/12/2019 15:24

@TG2019 oh snap 😂 nice to know someone is going through almost the same as myself. Have you any symptoms? I'm just tired n small twinges here n there but nothing much

TG2019 · 31/12/2019 16:12

@Clairet20 it’s comforting to know I’m not the only that who feels like time is standing still.
truly did not know I would feel like this 😅 it’s getting a little better each day though.

@NCON just fatigue. Falling asleep in an afternoon.

NameChange30 · 31/12/2019 20:10

Happy New Year's Eve, everyone... I'm not really a big drinker but am of course wanting a few drinks because I can't have them 🙄

Early night for me I think. The exhaustion seems to have hit already which is very annoying Sad

TG2019 · 31/12/2019 21:02

@NameChange30 haha same. Can’t wait for this period to be over I’ve had to make excuses over the past week. Now it can be a simple a new year new me no drinking ha!

2020mama · 01/01/2020 03:24

Hi ladies congrats on your bfp’s! I am almost 5 weeks and due in September. A really big new year shock lol it’s my first baby and I am very nervous I don’t really know much and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. When are you able to get the first scan? 8weeks?

V1983 · 01/01/2020 04:12

Hi and congratulations to all! I am about 4 weeks 6 days along and due around 5 September. This is my second pregnancy and I already have a 5 year old DS. Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all.

fizzyheart · 01/01/2020 09:07

Happy New Year ladies...here's to happy healthy pregnancies and babies for all of us

CurbsideProphet · 01/01/2020 10:24

Room for one more?
I got a BFP this morning Smile I'm only 4 weeks along. I had a bit of brown discharge (sorry TMI) on Sunday and this morning which is a worry, but I feel nauseous already and think that's a good sign of hormones? We'll see how it goes Smile

TtcanotherG · 01/01/2020 11:18

Welcome and Congratulations.. sometimes I feel a bit nauseous but nothing too much yet.

Bathwater · 01/01/2020 13:49

Wow so many more BFP since I last looked! Fingers crossed for everyone!
Hope everyone had a nice new year, I keep testing just in case. I’ve had early scans and it didn’t end well but hopefully might aim to wait until at least 8 weeks if I did. I’m not sure if it would just heighten my anxiety more. Is anyone else just waiting for the NHS ones?

TtcanotherG · 01/01/2020 14:11

I get what u mean about the early scans. I had one when I should've been 7+4 or there abouts and knew when I seen baby something wasnt right. It even looked too small. Sure enough it dated me more than week behind and although I seen the heartbeat and knew deep down things wernt going right. Then next scan week later it was confirmed mmc.

I think I will have one about 8 weeks though this time. I would hate to get too 12 weeks and find out it happened again.
