I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

@shiningstarz me too! Have the odd moment of 'oh my God its actually happening' followed swiftly by 'what if it doesnt'.

LatteLover12 · 25/01/2020 21:54

I'm having so many crampy stretchy pains it's driving me crazy. I know it's all normal and id probably panic if they disappeared but I'd really like to fast forward past 12 weeks!

Oh my goodness @ShiningStarz have you told the bride?!

ShiningStarz · 25/01/2020 22:00

@LatteLover12 snap with the cramps! Mine are sometimes like period cramps that come and go!
No I don’t plan on telling anyone until 12 weeks, she’s getting married when I’m 13w1d... i have the dress, hopefully fits or there will be alterations made end Feb!!

xiaomao · 25/01/2020 22:52

@LatteLover12 I've got tickets for a fair few gigs, the latest being Slam Dunk festival end of May and My Chemical Romance end of June! I'm hoping to still go and just take it easy at the back and avoid the crowds!! Also got a hen do in April and two weddings in the summer Confused fingers crossed I carry the pregnancy well haha otherwise all these plans will be out the window!

TG2019 · 25/01/2020 23:18

Hey girls
For those that mentioned suffering with anxiety I really recommend meditation.
Also yoga. (Suitable for pregnancy)

If you’re not used to it it can take a while but it really helps.
Also the book (I love the audio book)
A mindful pregnancy by Andy Puddicome is great 💖

ChipsAreLife · 26/01/2020 09:40

For those feeling really anxious I would speak to your midwife and see if there are some counselling services they can recommend. I don't personally think scans etc are the best way. They're a short term solution and the anxiety will just creep back in.

Just think your chances of things going well are so much higher than them not. Yoga is a great suggestion and just keep busy and distracted in other ways too.

Try not to stress on the symptoms, I worked with a girl who found out when she was 36 weeks another friend found out at 16. You don't always have them!! And I'm afraid your midwife won't hear a heartbeat this early on, alot don't even offer it till post 20 weeks. I really recommend getting it sorted because I'm afraid to say the worry doesn't stop when they're born!

Sending you all lots of positive thoughts

Babytrain89 · 26/01/2020 10:02

@chipsAreLife Thanks for your comment. In my area we do not have any access to a midwife until 8 weeks +. I have a doc appt on Monday and will be asking her what they can offer in terms of support. I genuinely believe that poor after care for early miscarriage is what has triggered my anxiety.
I have been thinking about pilates or yoga but no idea how to go about finding a class that is friendly!
i will give the book a go also.
That said, sometimes just writing down that you are feeling anxious in a safe space with others who understand is helpful. It makes me feel like I'm not going crazy.

emma278 · 26/01/2020 10:20

I completely get everyones anxiety. I think its just hard to believe theres something going on in there when you feel so normal. I mean today i have nothing. Literally zero. But theres nothing we can do either way. Its a waiting game I guess. My GP was really lovely about it and said everytime im nervous or anxious just remember I got to this point which is amazing in itself and there is nothing anyone can do now, and what will be will be. My resting heart rate was 102 I was so nervous! Im just trying to take a day at a time and just keep going over what she said. I have everything crossed for you all xx

ChipsAreLife · 26/01/2020 10:21

That sounds like a good plan @babytrain89. Whoever can point you in the right direction will do!

I'm sorry you had such a bad time after your miscarriage hopefully you can try find a way through it all and enjoy your current pregnancy.

Re yoga, just google or keep an eye on community Facebook pages. Alternatively there are a few prenatal yoga/ Pilates on YouTube you could try. A good walk also helps clear the mind I think.

Hope you can have a nice Sunday x

Osney · 26/01/2020 10:24

Hello all, hope everyone is ok. I totally get the anxiety thing! Scan on Tuesday when I'll be 6+5 - so should see heartbeat, which will comfort me.

Has anyone been added to the fb group lately? I asked @Bellinibutterfly 2 weeks ago and heard nothing. Hope she's ok.

If anyone is on the fb group? If so, can you post a message asking an admin to swing back over here and add us?

Roxy8203 · 26/01/2020 10:54

@Osney the Facebook group is now searchable as there seemed to be some problems adding people with their Facebook names so if you search September September and it's a pale yellow background with pink and blue baby pics as the picture you can request to join there. There is a question to join so make sure you answer it just so we know who is trying to join and don't end up with people who haven't come from here

ShiningStarz · 26/01/2020 11:02

Hi everyone,
Some really lovely messages here.
Iv had my early scan, saw the heartbeat and wouldn’t say I’m anymore relaxed 🤣
It is reassurance though that there is something there especially when there are a lack of symptoms! My boobs just sore and that’s it.
The time is going so slowly. I wish it would hurry up!! 🙈 hugs everyone xx

LatteLover12 · 26/01/2020 11:17

Morning ladies,

I've been awake since 4am 😴

I was so hungry this morning I had an M&S ready meal at 9.30! I can recommend the ham and mushroom tagliatelle 😂 Not sure how I'm going to cope at work tomorrow.

Has anyone got any good snack tips?

ShiningStarz · 26/01/2020 11:31

Lol @LatteLover12 that’s too funny 🤣🤣

Roxy8203 · 26/01/2020 11:36

@LatteLover12 that made me lol. Nuts are a filling snack, any protein really but but are probably the easiest to snack on

LatteLover12 · 26/01/2020 11:43

Thanks 😊

Off to the shops in a bit. Going to get some yogurts and madelaine's too. I'll be 25 stone before this baby comes 😂

Pleased your scan went well @ShiningStarz

ChipsAreLife · 26/01/2020 12:40

@lattelover I'm laughing so much! Im all about the hot carbs too. Toast, pasta, chips and those bread rolls you warm up in the oven. They are my fav!!!

LatteLover12 · 26/01/2020 16:08

Ooh @ChipsAreLife yes to those bread rolls!

I think I'm having mashed potato for my tea. It was meant to be sausage, mash and yorkshires but the thought of sausages now makes me want to heave 🤮

If I have a Yorkshire pudding filled with mashed potato I can call it street food, right?! 😂

Roxy8203 · 26/01/2020 16:25

@LatteLover12 call it what you like as long as it tastes good. I've got a thing for boiled potatoes at the moment, these little babies have a lot to answer for already

Maybebaby2 · 26/01/2020 23:06

Hi all hope everyone is good, been a crazy busy week here not had a moment to think so I guess its a good thing that I STILL dont have any symptoms! Will be poas again tomorrow to to check I'm not imagining the whole thing 🤦‍♀️

@NameChange30 not told him yet but laying down some stubble suggestions about how if we did get pregnant it would be so much easier for him now he's experienced it etc. We've got an awful lot on the next couple weeks so not quite the right timing, I'm thinking I'll tell him at about 8 weeks... if hes not guessed already by then!

@Roxy8203 brilliant scan! Must feel so good to be able to relax a little. Oh and I got your msg, thank you, I will have a look for the group now 👍

Maybebaby2 · 26/01/2020 23:39

subtle* not stubble 😂

ShiningStarz · 27/01/2020 10:57

Hi everyone!!
Loving the carbs too🙈
Although I’m definitely laying off the bread now for a while!! I’m so bloated and sore boobs. That’s it! Next scan is Wednesday 5th Feb 🤞 hope everyone doing ok.

emma278 · 27/01/2020 11:32

Still no symptoms over here. Even boob pain almost gone. Wondering if i should POAS just to ease my anxieties a bit. Confused

ShiningStarz · 27/01/2020 13:19

Aww @emma278 apart from boobs I am totally normal!! Even boob pain comes and goes!! What week/day you on now? When is your first appt?
