BelliniButterfly · 29/12/2019 20:28

I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

Definitely helps to have a motivation at the end. I just use the local council pool which is nice and cheap but used to use david lloyd but it's soooo expensive I gave it up

NameChange30 · 13/01/2020 21:47

There is one near us with a CRÈCHE. The dream! Can't justify it though, definitely wouldn't go enough.

Roxy8203 · 13/01/2020 21:55

You have to go often to justify the membership as it's so expensive. Maybe one day as they have an outdoor pool which is lovely in the summer. I'll have to see what the future brings at the moment I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️

ChipsAreLife · 13/01/2020 22:16

I've been going this pre natal Pilates it's pretty gently on the twisting side so maybe be good for your back strength without aggravation? Loads of modifications too to make it gentler.

She also has loads of other pre natal classes.

@NameChange30 ha ha same. I was falling asleep with the kids before bedtime tonight. Had ten mins which has kept me going but now am off to sleep and hopefully not be woken by my poorly 5 year old.

Roxy8203 · 13/01/2020 22:36

@ChipsAreLife thanks. I'll have a look this week

Sunshinexx95 · 13/01/2020 22:44

Hi Girls
Hope everyone is feeling good Grin
I'm 5+3 and I am exhausted! I only worked a 7 hours shift today and came back home straight to bed and had a 2 hours nap Confused
Otherwise I am not feeling sore boobs and not too much cramping either.. no sickness at all. Is this normal?

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 22:47

@Roxy8203 70 lengths!!!! Go you!!!

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 22:52

Thanks @NameChange30 being on here gives me so much positivity! 😊

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 22:54

Hi @Sunshinexx95 EDD buddy!! All
I’ve noticed is slight sore boobs and I have to poke them to feel it and the increased milky discharge (sorry tmi!!).
The cramping has settled down!!
I’m using hot water most evenings on my tummy which I read is ok and helps with any discomfort.
I’ve been reassured on here it’s ok, don’t worry and pretty much will hit at 7 weeks unless you are lucky!!

zoelouwalk · 13/01/2020 23:19

@BelliniButterfly Iv joined in Zoë Pickering am I on the right one

TG2019 · 14/01/2020 06:23

I’m 6 + 4 today. Early on I was exhausted and since I’ve had really sore boobs. Today I have woken up and sickness has definitely started.
Just prepping to go to the gym to teach 2 fitness classes back to back. Praying I don’t have to run off and be sick.
Remedies welcome!

xiaomao · 14/01/2020 06:56

@TG2019 I'm 6 + 4 too Smile my sickness started week 5 on the dot. I've found eating as plain as possible (bread, pasta, crackers) and sipping on lemonade has helped me keep something down. That would be difficult running in and out of your classes!!

Sunflower2019 · 14/01/2020 07:08

Morning,
@Sunshinexx95 you may not get sick!i didn’t with my last, feel yuck at times but just tiredness. I’m hoping it’s the same this time for me! I’m not napping and still going to bed later and getting up okay although at times I do struggle!

@ShiningStarz hey bump buddy! Omg I wake up and my boobs feel so swollen, and same with the discharge, keep thinking I’m bleeding and freaking out! I had a hot water bottle last night too, but luckily the cramps are better. I moved in bed last night though and omg it was so painful! I struggle to find a comfortable position and my back feels sore a lot.

How is everyone else? Sorry it’s a quick one I’m at work shortly so quickly wanted to stop in :) x

Sipperskipper · 14/01/2020 07:42

I’m 6+2 today. Starting to feel a bit sick on and off though the day now. That’s how I was with DD, and I was lucky enough never to feel very sick or actually vomit (which I’m thankful for as I’m terrified of vomiting!). Hopefully I’ll be as lucky this time. Also feeling very tired, but last time by 12 weeks I was feeling fine again.

Hope everyone isn’t feeling too bad.

Kangaroo77 · 14/01/2020 08:28

Morning all. It's so fab to speak to a group at the same stage 🥰. Hope everyone is feeling well.

My boobs have become almost comedic, they're like footballs and they are throbbing 😬. Otherwise no other symptoms. I was definitely sick by 6+4 last pregnancies, but so far nothing with this one.

QQ: Has anyone ever used a doula? What were your experiences and how much did it cost. Really interested in people's feedback.

Have a good day! Xx

JMill13 · 14/01/2020 08:39

@shiningStarz yeah work is good for at least one thing. Definitely helps distract from everything that's driving you crazy. I'm back to feeling normal again today. It's so strange.

Maybebaby2 · 14/01/2020 08:41

@Samk79 oh wow you and your DH are same age as me and mine, how is your DH feeling about the whole thing? I still haven't told mine! From reading back in the tread I think our eldest DCs are similar age too. My DS has just turned 18, his sister being just 2 there was a 16 year age gap between them an I was a little worried it might be hard for him, he would be sitting his GCSEs with a new baby in the house etc but it has been fine and they are so close she adores her big brother.

@HugeAgeGap thanks, have you and your OH talked anymore about it or are you just carrying on as normal? See I wouldn't mind if I could tell mine and then just get on with it but he'll make such a fuss and be so over the top with worry I can't be doing with it. Also he'll be worse now I'm 40 he's convinced there will be additional problems!

@NameChange30 wow we really do have an almost identical ttc story! I wonder if it's because we weren't actively trying, maybe we were less stressed? Still the odds for it happening after dtd just once are pretty high! I still cant get my head around it can you?

Still no symptoms here other than tiredness. I just don't feel pregnant yet! But my tests are showing HCG is increasing.
I self registered yesterday so am waiting on letters with two appointments, can't remember what she said they were for though?

@BelliniButterfly I have msgd you to ask to join the fb group. Is there any other group admin on here that could also send invites?

Roxy8203 · 14/01/2020 08:48

@Maybebaby2

ShiningStarz · 14/01/2020 08:54

Morning. Just got my blood hcg back and it’s in the 7000’s which is very high. I’m very happy. Retested on Friday and then I’m not sure about scan next week @6w 5d... I might just wait another 2 weeks🤔

NameChange30 · 14/01/2020 08:59

Um Roxy you have just publicly outed them all! Confused

Kangaroo77
We talked a bit about doulas early in the thread. I haven't use one before but I plan to this time around. I know a few doulas (via friends, neighbours, yoga) and also did an antenatal class run by a doula. One of the women in the class had a doula who came with her, and by all accounts it definitely enhanced her birth experience a lot.
I don't know how much they cost though. After my 12 week scan I'm going to enquire.

Maybebaby
Yes I think it's a bit of a cliche that when you stop stressing about TTC, it happens! It definitely took a while to sink in. But the nausea is a constant reminder Hmm

Shining I think you get your hcg results this morning? Fingers crossed!

NameChange30 · 14/01/2020 09:00

Oh cross post, congrats shining that's great news!

JMill13 · 14/01/2020 09:04

Morning @shiningStarz ooh yay. Very happy for you! I want it tested now flip sake.

Roxy8203 · 14/01/2020 09:26

Ok I've requested it be deleted. MN names aren't on Facebook so no idea who is who

Watermelon2016 · 14/01/2020 09:51

Morning! Thumping headaches here and horrid heartburn. Anyone else?
@Roxy8203 can you add me to the FB group if I message you my email?

Samk79 · 14/01/2020 09:58

@maybebaby2
I'm 40 and Dh is 46. He hasn't said much yet, he was always 50/50 about having a baby of our own. I don't think he will say much until we know everything is okay after my mc last year.
My two are 12 and 17 so worried how they will feel about a new baby coming along x
