I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

@ShiningStarz I think I'm 6 w 5 d but not certain.

When I was pregnant with my son I didn't really properly start with the sickness until the end of week 7 so this feels quite early to me. Apart from the queasiness I don't feel pregnant at all! My boobs aren't swollen or sore, bloating comes and goes but is usually around AF for me anyway.

Kangaroo77 · 12/01/2020 20:53

@Samk79 I feel you. We booked our first family hol to a french holiday park with pools and slides in August this year that needs cancelling. I feel guilt about that too 🥴.

Kangaroo77 · 12/01/2020 20:56

@ChipsAreLife We're on a similar page I think. I'm planning 4 months, then live out nanny PT and family help (hopefully). Plus a cleaner will def help. It's reassuring to hear it worked ok for you. Appreciate you sharing. Thanks.

@TtcanotherG sorry for loss too, fingers x'd for us both 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

ShiningStarz · 12/01/2020 21:42

I noticed this evening I hadn’t peed since 4 and just been there at 930! Before I was going very frequently like every hr, I hope this isn’t a bad sign ☹️

NameChange30 · 12/01/2020 21:58

Evening all, hello and congrats to the new joiners

HugeAgeGap
I rang the GP on 30 Dec and the earliest booking in appt with the midwife wasn't until 30 Jan (when I will be 8+1, apparently the appt is usually at 6-8 weeks). So I advise you to call sooner rather than later in case your midwives are equally busy.

Kangaroo and TtcanotherG
Sorry about your previous TFMR Flowers
I only have 1DC (DS nearly 3) so can't really comment on juggling kids and career, but with him I took about 9 months maternity leave (went back when my Maternity Allowance ran out) and will probably do the same with DC2. Depends how bored I get on mat leave, I didn't love it last time but if I enjoy it more this time I might take the full year! Plus it will be the summer...

Lazyday
Me too! Sad The nausea is constant and very annoying. Have you been sick at all? I haven't but constantly feel as if I might be. I had barely any nausea when I was pregnant with DS so this is new and not in a good way! I'm wearing acupressure sickness bands which seem to be helping a bit.

Shining
Hope you get a good blood test result and won't have to wait too long to get it back 🤞

HugeAgeGap · 12/01/2020 22:24

Hi @NameChange30 thanks for letting me know. Luckily I'm really not that bothered about having the first appt with midwife soon, if it's later than it should be that's fine with me :-)

NameChange30 · 12/01/2020 22:27

I'm counting down the days because it's the midwife who does the referral for a 12 week scan, so I won't get a scan date until after I've seen the midwife!

(Impatient, moi?! Grin)

ShiningStarz · 12/01/2020 22:31

Thanks @namechange30 you are so patient! I would have demanded an earlier appt lol 🙈 the symptoms you are having are really positive.

@HugeAgeGap we have a scan booked for next Wed, only 9 full days to go!

Kirstyaka · 12/01/2020 22:38

So glad I have found this, just found out we are expecting our 3. I’ve got a dd who is 11 in may and ds who turn 7 in December. This little one wasn’t planned as we thought we where done.

ShiningStarz · 12/01/2020 22:52

Congrats @kirstyaka hopefully a nice suprise for you!!

Kirstyaka · 12/01/2020 23:03

@shiningstarz think am still in shock as defo wasn’t expecting it to show positive. Just a little worried as I was drinking over Xmas and new year also was at a log cabin with a hot tub was in it least twice for 4 days.

Samk79 · 13/01/2020 06:35

@Kangaroo77 it's typical isn't it! Thankfully we hadn't booked our holiday but had been looking. We did take the kids to Disneyland Paris two years ago but this would have been the first sunny holiday abroad for us all. I just feel guiltily my older kids may miss out on things now
I was also starting to get my career back on track. I've worked since having my kids but due to lack of support when I was a single parent couldn't really move on in my career x

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 08:45

@Kirstyaka I’m the same! I went swimming and hot tub between Christmas and new year and was also drinking although not much. I think it would be too early to have an effect though so try not to worry.

I’m waiting to be called for my hcg.

Iv no symptoms, well apart from slight boob soreness! Cramps gone! Don’t feel any different at all. I’m booked in for another hcg blood on Friday so should hopefully see more than double what it is today 🤞

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 08:46

Anyone else the same with the symptoms?? I’m slightly worried!!!

ChipsAreLife · 13/01/2020 08:56

Morning!

@namechange I'll be almost 9 weeks for booking in. The receptionist asked for date of last period so that midwives can book my scan in before so I get it at 12 weeks. May they do that with you? Try not to worry too much. My scan request got lost with my second they manage to get me an app very quickly and before 13 weeks.

@ShiningStarz symptoms come and go at this stage, really it's very normal to not even have anything till 7/8 weeks. Hopefully the HCG levels can help reassure you. It's really hard but bar the obvious things like drinking etc it's largely out of our hands now if something goes wrong. In a few weeks it's likely you'll miss these days of feeling ok!

Is anyone else not having an early scan? I've not had one before and decided not to this time and hold out for scan. As my booking in will be close to my scan I think if I can get to that then it's a short wait.

ChipsAreLife · 13/01/2020 08:57

I mean hold out for 12 week scan. Can't get brain into gear today!

Kangaroo77 · 13/01/2020 09:17

Good morning!

@Samk79 gosh our lives sound so similar. I was a single mum 4 years ago to a 6 month old and a 2.5 year old. Gawd those days were hard. I didn't work at the time and panicked how my life would turn out. Now 4 years on I've been working 2 years and I love it 😂. I don't know why but I'm so nervous about telling work I'm pregnant. I need my job not just financially but for me. It's sad isn't it that women feel the pressure and almost burden of becoming a mother.

@ChipsAreLife I'm not having an early scan. I don't think. I've booked my main 12 week scan privately (Harmony test). It's booked at 11 weeks, but perhaps I should have an early one in case there is something wrong and then I can cancel the £400 harmony. Jeez, so many decisions.

Has everyone rang their local maternity yet? I haven't, I can't remember when I need to, is it around 8 weeks?

Symptoms wise I feel great today, nothing except crazy sore boobs. I've had to start wearing a crop top bra at night. This morning it felt like my milk had come in. Ouch. Other than that I feel a bit bloated (but I'm eating loads of crap) and that's it. @ShiningStarz I'm sure everything is running fine, like the others say, I get you will be wishing back these 'normal' days in no time 😏.

Oh and weird thing, I had a dream last night I went to the toilet and was bleeding. It turns out I had a leech in my pants. How ridiculous is that!!!!

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 09:19

Thanks @ChipsAreLife I’m just so cautious. I want to feel different!! Crazy I’m wishing for morning sickness 🤣

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 09:20

Haha @Kangaroo77 thank you 😊

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 09:21

I can’t sleep on my chest anymore it hurts too much. That’s my only sign 🤞🤞

ShiningStarz · 13/01/2020 09:21

@Roxy8203 how are you feeling?

TG2019 · 13/01/2020 09:44

@ChipsAreLife I’m waiting for my 12 week scan. It’s my first pregnancy and I was initially tempted to have an early scan. I still go through moment where I think aw shall I just have one.
They’re currently only £39 as well.
I might do.

Haha oh gosh it’s so hard to make decisions,

My fatigue has calmed down I just have huge sore boobs. And going to the toilet all the time.

X

Roxy8203 · 13/01/2020 09:54

@ShiningStarz hiya, I'm ok thanks. At 6 weeks now which is as far as I got last time so a bit stressed and wondering if I should have booked my scan earlier but I've got everything crossed that this is our time and that we don't have to go through that again, this baby is so wanted x

Watermelon2016 · 13/01/2020 10:04

Morning! 5 weeks today with an EDD of 14th Sept. 2nd baby, 3rd pregnancy after a MMC with my 1st. Lovely to e-meet you all!
X

Marsje25 · 13/01/2020 10:07
