I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

@ShiningStarz what are they testing for with bloods? Just your levels?
I've got my private scan booked at 7+4 so a few weeks off yet but I didn't get that far last time. I saw the heartbeat when I had an internal scan at 6 weeks but they told me to go back a week later and it wasn't there anymore so praying that at 7 and a half weeks I'll have a better experience and have a heartbeat and a bean that's growing well. At the moment I'm just concentrating on getting further than last time 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

botbird84 · 05/01/2020 21:32

@ShiningStarz I'm glad I'm not the only one going to the loo so much, feels like every hour! I'm back at work tomorrow so gonna have to work out the logistics of loo breaks and teaching! Confused

ShiningStarz · 05/01/2020 21:56

Hi @Roxy8203 I’m ok thank you. I can’t wait to ring the gp in the morning and get the hcg, I will feel so much better then 🤞
My boobs still sore. I know what you mean! I’m completely paranoid!!

Roxy8203 · 05/01/2020 22:00

@ShiningStarz fingers crossed for good levels from your bloods x

JMill13 · 05/01/2020 22:03

@ShiningStarz I think this was a reply to me? Congrats to you! Fingers crossed those nerves settle and all will be okay. I've been peeing what feels like every 5 seconds since about the 26th December, prob more realistic every 20 minutes to half an hour which is great fun at night time and at work. Keeping me fit though I guess.

What is an hcg? I rang the GP surgery and the reception gave me an appointment for the 16th Jan with the midwife, Said I didn't need to see the doctor if I'd already done an at home test?

Sunshinexx95 · 05/01/2020 22:26

@emma278
I think we r still way to early. So we need to wait till week 6-8 for any symptoms. My sister is 6 weeks so she told me she just started having symptoms.
I hope this pregnancy goes well because I am so paranoid hehe
Xxx

emma278 · 05/01/2020 22:30

@Sunshinexx95 fingers crossed!! Sending lots of love and luck xx

HugeAgeGap · 05/01/2020 23:16

@Chadder2017 congrats! Hoping all goes well for you! Interested as I also had lletz treatment for abnormal cervix cells two years ago and remember at the time them saying it increases miscarriage risk etc so am feeling really anxious. This is my second but first was 10yrs ago when I was much younger! Am 4+1 today and had brown cm yday that has cleared so who knows!! x

HugeAgeGap · 05/01/2020 23:19

@ShiningStarz I kept my first pregnancy hidden and a secret until way after 20 weeks so I would have easily gotten away with the wedding at 12/13. However everyone is so different so I think it would be tricky to predict!! x

Chadder2017 · 05/01/2020 23:20

@HugeAgeGap yeah I had the treatment twice I did grill the doctor last time I was in about it he said I will probably have an earlier scan and an extra eye kept on me in the last trimester. Because it can make your womb weaker because the cervix is weaker xx

HugeAgeGap · 05/01/2020 23:22

@emma278 @Sunshinexx95 4+1 here and no symptoms yet either, I think this is normal for so early on. I'm bracing myself for when it kicks in, I was very sick last time around x

HugeAgeGap · 05/01/2020 23:26

@Chadder2017 ok that's really useful. I did hear about getting a "stitch" to support the cervix later on but I think that's only with the cone rather than the loop so should be ok there.

Early scan would be nice for reassurance. I'm gonna phone for an appt in a few weeks (only now 4) and will mention that if bleeding continues or symptoms don't develop xx

Chadder2017 · 05/01/2020 23:30

@HugeAgeGap yeah that's a good idea. I'm 5+2 so hoping they will give me a scan in next 2 weeks just to put my mind at ease x

HugeAgeGap · 05/01/2020 23:44

@Chadder2017 let me know how you get on xx

Marsje25 · 06/01/2020 00:35

Hi all, congrats to everyone! I'm 5+2 at the moment and really really scared. I've had 3 Mc's over the last 2 years and been trying for 4 years. All miscarriages were unexplained and we have had all the tests.. I'm phoning hospital tomorrow to book an early scan as they promised to do a weekly scan from 6 weeks on.. but even one more week wait feels like ages!!
All movements and twinges in my belly make me think it's wrong, I can feel my boobs being sensitive but when I dont feel them as much I worry straight away. I know it's bad to worry too much so if anyone has tips...

Roxy8203 · 06/01/2020 07:56

Hi @Marsje25, congratulations!!
Sorry you've been through a bad time, I'm. It sure I can say anything to make you feel better. There are a few of us here who have a had miscarriages and we are just trying to stay positive and praying it's our time. I've booked an early scan but it's still a couple of weeks away yet. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

ChipsAreLife · 06/01/2020 08:00

My symptoms in my other two pregnancies didn't really quick in till 6 weeks so try not to worry if you're just tired and sore boobs for now.

Re showing. With my first I don't think I had a bump till 18 weeks or so? I2/13 weeks can just look like period bloat. I'm fully expecting to show a lot earlier with this one as I did with number 2.

I've had two really good pregnancies and I still worry constantly so I don't know what the answer is. Think it's just being a mum. All I cling on to is stats. As each day goes by the chances of mc decrease. I know mmc can seem quite common on Mumsnet but it's not really if you look at stats. i also only know of one IRL, so try to cling to that. Keeping busy and maybe some prenatal yoga etc will help

ChipsAreLife · 06/01/2020 08:03

Sorry I don't mean that to come across as insensitive to those who have had mc. More that I'm trying to say that actually more pregnancies survive than don't, even though it's incredible difficult to shake that notion of you've been through the heartbreak of a loss. But you've just got to cling on to the odds.

Chadder2017 · 06/01/2020 08:06

Hi all! Anyone got any links or ideas for baggy tops to hide bump? I'm only 5 weeks but I'm already showing a bit (and probably eaten too many mince pies over Xmas 😂) I'm a nanny and I got into work this morning and one of the children said 'whqts wrong with your tummy it's a bit big 😂😂

Sunshinexx95 · 06/01/2020 08:30

Hi guys...
I woke up thinking about work today... so basically I work full time as a pharmacist. And I work like 10 hours a day. I am a bit worried that I will exhaust myself. I know everyone is saying working is alright. But I'm so worried about those first 12 weeks I don't want anything to happen to my little peanut. Do you guys think there is a relation between working too much and early miscarriages?

How is everyone feeling? Smile

Xx

emma278 · 06/01/2020 08:35

@Sunshinexx95 i work long hours too with a rubbish commute. Im just trying not to stress too much and take it a day at a time. Im the same as you though worried constantly xx

Chadder2017 · 06/01/2020 09:00

@Sunshinexx95 snap! I'm a nanny so do 12 hour days I'm so paranoid something will happen but I guess I just have to have faith that what will be will be! 2 hours into my long day and I'm exhausted already. Don't want to tell my bosses yet incase I jinx it it's so hard knowing what to do x

emma278 · 06/01/2020 09:18

@Chadder2017 same! I feel like i need to tell someone just incase something happens. I might confide in one colleague xx

ShiningStarz · 06/01/2020 09:19

Morning everyone

Hi @Roxy8203 I feel ok! Cramps come and go! Waiting on my gp calling me back. Will mention the progesterone gel and he’ll prob want me in for a blood hcg test.. ah the nerves! Have a good day 😊

Lazydaisydaydream · 06/01/2020 10:32

Can't get an appointment to see my GP until the end of next week, Just hoping that there isn't then a long waiting list to see the midwife once I get referred!
