New thread for our July gang 😊

Shall we do a little reminder of who we all are so we can see who is on here - Age, current EDD and if we know our 12 week scan date?

I'll start:

31 - EDD 08/07 - 12 week scan 24/12

Thanks @izabela86 for the info! Yes, it has been on me and my husband's mind so knowing the risk factor will hopefully bring us some relief. My 12 week scan won't be until after the harmony test too (although I'll be 14 weeks by then!). I'll definitely ask to find out the gender - how exciting! It would be nice to be able to say 'he' or 'she' instead of 'it' Grin

RedRobin7 · 31/12/2019 14:26

@Wayekalb Oh no, I hope you start feeling better before you have to go back. I walked to sainsburys on my lunch break and felt a bit spaced out. Dreading Thursday!

@rosamundos Glad your scan went well!

@Izabela86 Aww so lovely you know you're having a girl already! I totally understand your anxiety. I wanted to do the test after everything I've been through and the fact I've been on meds for the entire pregnancy so far but my DH said we'd wait and see what the results of the NHS NT scan say first.

Just for a bit of fun, does the Chinese calendar say you're having a girl? It says I am and my husband thinks it's stupid 🙄😂 Google "Chinese baby calendar" it goes by month of conception and age at the time!

Oops I wasn't going to attach a pic in case it wasn't allowed but still managed to lol 🙈

Izabela86 · 31/12/2019 15:02

@RedRobin7 I did look at the Chinese calendar (also for fun) and it said a girl on the one that I found online before. The one you posted here says it’s a boy 😆 All very confusing!

RedRobin7 · 31/12/2019 15:14

@Izabela86 Oh that's interesting there are different ones out there! I always like to see what the calendar says and if it was right lol.

Afternoon all. Anyone doing anything braver for NYE than staying in bed?!

Another oversharing question from me: does anyone ever have a bit of pink blood alongside a bowel movement? Blood is definitely from that end.

susie12345 · 31/12/2019 18:02

Im staying in front of the tv on the sofa and then having an early night... soo exciting :)
But i prefer to sleep while i still can so im happy with that :)

@Secondsop i dont have that issue but could it not be due to constipation and straining too hard possibly??

@RedRobin7 it says i should have a girl, which is exactly what my partner wants :)

RedRobin7 · 31/12/2019 18:24

@Secondsop We are staying in and I'm going to attempt to stay up to watch the fireworks on the tv but I'm not feeling confident I'll make it lol! I got myself one non-alcoholic koppaberg strawberry and lime so I feel like I'm partying a little 😂

I do have blood after going to the toilet. Earlier this year I'd had some blood and dr said keep an eye on it. Eventually disappeared but now seems to be back as I'm constipated so I'm just putting it down to that! I'm drinking fybogel most evenings but not finding it's helping much.

@susie12345 Aww that's nice! I know my DH has always wanted a boy first but we've been talking lots about how we both think it's a girl and we've only managed to agree on a girls name so far so I think he will be okay with a girl!

We found a baby name app which is like tinder. You swipe right if you like the name and then it tells you if you matched with your DP 😂 We've only matched on the few names we've already discussed so was a bit pointless but good if you've not really discussed names yet!

OP posts:
susie12345 · 31/12/2019 18:41

@Secondsop i have just sent my partner to a shop to buy me the non alcoholic koppaberg when i read your post, i completely forgot about that :)

@RedRobin7 my partner has two boys already with previous ex partner so thats why he wants a girl. I would also like a girl because my sister has a boy so it would be nice if my mum could have a one of each to spoil :)

What is the baby name app please? My partner and i cant agree on any names so this could be fun :)

Secondsop · 31/12/2019 18:44

The pink blood actually seems to be when I have loose motions (again, APOLOGIES) rather than constipation - but maybe that means something is irritated in that region. Oh the endless delights of pregnancy.

Re names/sexes: I have 2 boys and I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t adore a girl. But then again another boy would also be lovely.

susie12345 · 31/12/2019 18:46

I know its too soon to be buying things for the baby yet but we went to mothercare today especially to see if they had any pregnancy pillows and they had 70% off (closing down sale, not sure if its like this everywhere), they did have some pillows which would work out around £10 i think so might be worth checking. I didnt end up buying one stupidly as i then forgot :D but i did buy a lovely changing bag from £40 down to £9 and some belly bands from £10 down to £3. Just thought i would let you all know in case you had mothercare near and they were also closing down.

LisaxMarie · 31/12/2019 19:04

@susie12345 we went to Mothercare in Cornwall last week and ended up buying the steriliser and car seat. Saved a fortune with the discounts they have on!

@RedRobin7 what is the name app called please? 😊

Chinese calendar says I’m having a girl and my mum (I swear she is psychic when it comes to predicting the gender!) thinks it’s a girl also.

squirrelnutkins1 · 31/12/2019 19:04

@RedRobin7 mine says boy and I've been 'feeling' boy in my mind (even tho we desp want a girl and have had her name for 10+ years! 🙊) be interesting to see if it's right for anyone!

@Secondsop staying in and watching a film me thinks. Feels weird being in!

@susie12345 good bargains!

susie12345 · 31/12/2019 19:13

@LisaxMarie i wish i was a few more weeks ahead and i would have bought the car seat and possibly even a pram, they were so cheap! I was just worried i would jinx it, spend the money and then something would go wrong.

Dafs123 · 31/12/2019 19:23

We had a lovely meal out now in bed watching lion king with my little boy... couldnt be happier 😂 have a lovely night everyone x

RedRobin7 · 31/12/2019 19:47

@susie12345 @LisaxMarie The app is called "Baby Name" it's the one with a yellow icon with a white egg in the middle.

@Secondsop That's unusual that it's when you have loose motions. I'm sure it's fine but mention it to the dr anyway!

@squirrelnutkins1 You never know, could be a girl after all! Will you find out at your 20 week scan?

@susie12345 Nice to have got some bits in the sale. Such a shame they've gone under now and not in a couple of months! The first thing I want to buy for my baby is the Jelly Cat rainbow cuddly toy. This will be my rainbow baby so when I saw it in John Lewis I knew I had to buy it!

@LisaxMarie Haha my mum is exactly the same! She thinks my sister and I are both having girls 😊

We've just started watching About Time and I've just finished a huge portion of lasagne and now feel like a whale... that should keep me awake a bit longer lol! Have a lovely evening ladies (and @AutumnDazed!) and Happy New Year! In just a few hours we'll be able to say we're having a baby this year!! Crazy!!

OP posts:
squirrelnutkins1 · 31/12/2019 19:51

At the mo we're saying we're not finding out but who knows closer to the time!!!!
Eek if not thought about that!!!! Almost THIS YEAR! @RedRobin7

squirrelnutkins1 · 31/12/2019 19:55

I had a huge spag Bol and it's laying heavy on my stomach but I was so hungry!

LisaxMarie · 31/12/2019 20:15

@susie12345 I felt exactly the same but my DH explained that buying something won’t change the outcome and that the items will get used at some point or another so we went for it xx

AutumnDazed · 31/12/2019 20:16

Happy new year to you all! All the best for a healthy 2020 for you and your (growing) families :)

squirrelnutkins1 · 31/12/2019 20:32

@LisaxMarie it's very logical reasoning but also hard to not think negatively, esp when you've had a loss. I'm 10+1 and thankfully I'm feeling more confident by the day so that's nice. Just counting down to Sat to hopefully see our jellybean wiggling 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 it was honestly the best moment of my life seeing him/her move on screen at my 8+4 scan 💕💕💕

susie12345 · 31/12/2019 20:41

Im also waiting for my 12 week scan next wednesday, i really hope the baby has grown and will resemble a baby by then :) so far it just looked like a little blob on scans.

@LisaxMarie i agree but i am a little scared still, if the sale is still on in a week or two, i might look into the car seats but i will wait for the 12 week scan first.

I cant wait to wake up tomorrow and say 'we are having a baby this year!!!' :D

Happy new year everyone, hope we all get to meet our babies in 2020!!!!

PixieN · 31/12/2019 22:22

Happy new year everyone 🎉 🥂(non alcoholic cheers!) Weird to think that we’ll have been pregnant across two years! We’re having a quiet one with tv and takeaway. Not sure I’ll be able to stay awake until 12.00am x

LisaxMarie · 01/01/2020 00:26

@squirrelnutkins1 @susie12345 I know what you mean. We had a loss back in July and I have managed to convince myself that when I go to my 12 week scan on Thursday I’ll be given bad news despite seeing the heart beat at our 6 week scan.

Happy New Year Everyone xx

squirrelnutkins1 · 01/01/2020 07:51

@LisaxMarie big hugs xx
