@daniX91 she's beautiful congratulations hun. Glad you're home and recovering well x

AnxiousandExcited · 01/03/2020 11:46

@maria94 I think you can have some waters go and not all? I didn't think the midwife would be able to check that?
I have been having regular contractions this morning, every 25 minutes or so for 45sec about, with littler ones in between. Wonder if they will stop?

barnyb · 01/03/2020 13:47

Hey ladies any updates ????
It's all very exciting reading your posts !
Iv had no signs or symptoms at all today! Completely nothing apart from very tired and same heavy pressure on belly and back. Iv been cleaning and cooking like a mad woman all morning so now I'm going to have a bath and then chill out for the rest of the day with husband. Worried that il tire myself out and then won't have any energy if anything does happen later xxxx

sadtoday21 · 01/03/2020 14:14

I'm 38+3 and no signs of anything starting anytime soon! Is this normal?? Thought I would feel something by now.

I'm now in the "nesting" phase - cleaning, cooking, finishing up work.

Does anyone else feel like movement is lower down or more squirming than kicks, now?

barnyb · 01/03/2020 14:47

@sadtoday21
I’m 40 weeks tomorrow and I have only started to feel a bit different the last few days. I think everyone is different. Don’t worry about comparing because it’s a minefield.
Movements are definitely different now. More slower bigger moves and no kicks as such like they used to be. Xxxx

Jesskir89 · 01/03/2020 18:52

@maria94 could it be your back waters that went? @anxiousandexcited any update? I'm 37 plus 1 today and I'm petrified I'm not going to know what labour feels like.... Braxton hicks were bad last night but then none today.... It is a minefield!

AnxiousandExcited · 01/03/2020 20:00

@Jesskir89 I've had two babies but I'm still not sure what labor feels like. It is dfferent for each person each time so it's a bit of guesswork until properly established labor! Anyway, I've had a ton of contractions today and they are proper ones, but not as regular as acive labor. I went in around 4ish to be checked and I was 2-3cm dilated, not far enough really, not in active labor yet. So I'm back home. Still having contractions every few mins so it might be tonight - or it might not!
No show yet and no waters breaking. I'm having yet another bath with clary sage - they say a bath will slow it down if it's not real labor and speed it up if it is, so we'll see.
This is REALLY frustrating!

babychange12 · 01/03/2020 20:14

Hello! Just joining .. I'm due 4 March and been losing mucus plug over the last 3-4 days and having irregular contractions but doesn't seem like anything major is happening. So impatient now to meet baby!

I have acupuncture booked in tomorrow, so fingers crossed it works. For DS1, I had acupuncture on Wednesday and he was born on Thursday!

barnyb · 01/03/2020 21:16

ahh all very positive because your actually having contractions :) I hope we all get some better signs or symptoms soon! Hope everyone sleeps well xxxx

maria94 · 01/03/2020 21:35

@AnxiousandExcited good luck, sounds very promising!! Fingers crossed you'll have your baby really soon X

@Jesskir89 she did mention my back waters, it was all a bit unclear tbh! Hopefully something promising happens soon! X

Jesskir89 · 01/03/2020 21:58

@anxiousandexcited wow your baby should be here by tomorrow! So exciting!!! Please keep us updated. @maria94 I'm no expert but from what I've read up it sounds like it could be, fingers crossed you've not got long to go :)

MissPepper8 · 01/03/2020 22:16

@maria94 Did she not offer you a scan? If you're still leaking go back. I had this with DS, leaked for a week and a half and they fobbed me off with weeing myself. I was induced a week later when scan showed I had reduced waters for baby in there. They can do a test with a swab there and then (I had one today as I'm having pinky blood loss). Either ask for test or a scan and ring as soon as it happens hun xx

That's so exciting @AnxiousandExcited ! Lost my plug and had a bloody show last night. I've had period cramps all day but blooming over did it with cleaning. I saw labour ward as I was spotting blood and I'm about 1cm but couldn't sweep me as consultant wrote 38 weeks 😭. Mw suggested I ask when I go for my scan tomorrow as im uncomfortable.

maria94 · 01/03/2020 22:24

@MissPepper8 no I wasn't offered a scan unfortunately. I was told to ring back if anymore leaked out which I think it slowly still is.. I've popped a pad on so hopefully if anymore comes out, they can just test the pad! I'm just worried about risk of infection!!
All she did was make me lie down for 30 mins and then did a speculum test and said "I can't see any evidence waters but doesn't mean they haven't gone." So I was left a bit confused! What did your test come back as today? Xx

MissPepper8 · 01/03/2020 23:30

@maria94 They did exactly that to me with ds and told me I wet myself because it looked closed ect. I had got out the shower and dressed, I got up off the sofa to cook and I had a big gush of fluid. It was my hind waters, they continued to leak but I just took mws word.

They do decrease gradually but its not suppose to continue to leak and if its pinky I'd ring and stick your pad in a zip bag. The swab today was just loss from my plug but because it was watery pink they wanted to make sure and she was happy as I'm having a growth scan tomorrow.

Mine had gone for a week and a half with DS, and baby was OK, but make sure you're happy. Ask to go in and for a scan if you're not x

Jesskir89 · 02/03/2020 03:43

@maria94 they told my SIL it would be wee and she found out almost a week later it was her waters. Demand a second opinion you've got every right too x

maria94 · 02/03/2020 08:48

@MissPepper8 @Jesskir89 thanks girls, going to ring back today if there is anymore! X

@barnyb happy due date!!! Definitely looks like I'm going be going overdue.. no sign of baby yet! Xx

DerbyshireGirly · 02/03/2020 14:05

Hi ladies. I was on the old thread and kept meaning to post on this one but time's ran away with itself...can't believe we're all about ready to drop. Congrats also to the new mums who've had their babies!

I'm now 37+4, fortunately everything has been very straightforward, baby has started engaging and I've had a few period type pains and Braxton Hicks so it's all going in the right direction. All prepped for a home birth so hoping body and baby continue to play ball Smile

barnyb · 02/03/2020 14:36

@maria94 happy due date to you too! :)
I’m still bouncing on my ball, drinking my raspberry leaf and she isn’t showing any sign of appearing today..
I feel like iv changed my tune today. I’m just so proud that my body has gotten this baby to my due date. After losing two babies before this I’m just so happy. Xxxxx

Jesskir89 · 02/03/2020 16:12

@DerbyshireGirly welcome back there's a few that didn't rejoin and I've wondered how everyone's doing. I'm 2 days behind you, braxton hicks and period pains but nothing more, I've got a sweep a week on Thursday as I've got GD so they won't let me go over. @barnyb love the positivity :) it's really inspiring and a good outlook to have x

maria94 · 02/03/2020 21:20

@barnyb that's such a nice way of looking at it! I do feel very lucky but also very impatient now haha. Got a stinking headache this evening, maybe a change in hormones?! Haven't had a headache in months it's been bliss! Other than that.. no signs. Got a sweep tomorrow morning though, would be nice if I didn't make it to that but I think that's wishful thinking! Xx

barnyb · 02/03/2020 21:28

@maria94 haha yes totally get it! I just decided to be positive because I became very not positive! Lol that's good about the sweep! Mine is on Thursday but hopefully she will be here before then lol. Let me know how it goes won't you! Because iv heard it's not the greatest feeling. but totally worth a try I recon! Iv had no signs what so ever today ! It's been boring lol. Iv taken my ball up to my bedroom and I'm sitting on it while husband is in bed watching tv lol! Xx

maria94 · 03/03/2020 11:52

@barnyb Had my sweep! 2cm dilated already, waters are very close to going and she could feel baby's head. She said she'd be surprised if I didn't have her soon so feeling very hopeful. The sweep felt like a very intense period pain but not as bad as I was expecting! Off for a nice walk now hoping to get things going Xx

MiniJMac · 03/03/2020 12:13

@maria94 eeeep exciting times ahead! How many weeks are you now?

I've got my reassurance scan date for the 10th March to ensure no2 is head down 🤞

barnyb · 03/03/2020 12:32

@maria94 oh my goodness that’s all very very VERY positive 😊🤞🏼 Woohoo let us know keep us updated eeeekkk! No news my end ! Just same old feelings. Actually I have had a funny tummy today! and I did wake up with cramps but that’s gone. I’m not looking into anything anymore because iv been doing that for the last two weeks and it proved to be a big waste of my time 😂🙏🏻

maria94 · 03/03/2020 14:44

@MiniJMac I'm 40+1 today so about time things got moving haha!

@barnyb so I've had a big bloody show and been getting irregular contractions for the past 2 hours. Praying they pick up and turn into the real deal but I know it might not! Aw hopefully your sweep in a couple of days will get things moving. I didn't have many cramps or signs and somehow I've dilated 2cm without realising so keep positive!! Xx
