I had my 37 week growth scan today. Baby is about 6lb 8oz and I'm booked in for a sweep 2 weeks today. It's a long wait This..... On the up I finish work tomorrow :)

MissPepper8 · 27/02/2020 18:46

Well today was fun and frustrating :/

Got my ball out last night, wasnt on long t9 be honest. 7am woke up with period type pain and contractions, lasted until gone 12pm and sort of tailed off now to dull pain.

After 12 Ive just had very hard braxtons, pain all in my back. I hope this doesn't go on for weeks, on my own today and it was so hard to concentrate with little one :(

2ndtimemuma · 27/02/2020 19:04

@MockingJay27 I’m definitely worrying about this. I’m 39 + 4 and really dreading being in a hospital where all these diseases are right now. We haven’t had reports of anything in Leicestershire just yet but I’m sure it’s there. 😬

2ndtimemuma · 27/02/2020 19:04

When are you due?

2ndtimemuma · 27/02/2020 19:05

@MissPepper8 when are you due?

MissPepper8 · 27/02/2020 20:07

@2ndtimemuma I'm 18th of March. Sweep next Friday, I'm hoping if I don't go, this makes sweep easier :(

jollybobs89 · 27/02/2020 20:16

36 + 1 today feel like I could just cry! Feel like complete shit having constant cramping little one feels like he's trying to claw out my belly haha feel like I can't walk properly as it's going to fall out HmmI went 11 days over with my first I really hope I don't with this one! On a plus note finished work today yay !

sadtoday21 · 27/02/2020 20:38

@MockingJay27 I'm seriously worried about this and have been for some time. As if pregnancy isn't worrying enough without all this coronavirus :(. And no guidance from NHS on what pregnant women should do - I dread taking the bus to the hospital/antenatal appointments now, but I don't have a car.

2ndtimemuma · 27/02/2020 20:38

@I’m due 3rd March and getting very fidgety but run my own business so there is never a great time. Just want her here now as starting to worry about silly things and not relaxing at all. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m
Booked in for a sweep on 40 + 1 but with my previous baby it didn’t have any effect. I ended up being induced at 40+6 x

whiskersonkittenss · 27/02/2020 22:11

Hi all

Had my c section today! My boy is perfect and so laid back.

ttc19 · 27/02/2020 22:25

@whiskersonkittenss Congrats! Any C-Section advice? Do you mind me asking your reasons for having one? I'm going to accept the offer of one due to traumatic previous birth and also baby measuring very large again like previous baby x

MissPepper8 · 28/02/2020 00:01

@2ndtimemuma I understand that x I'm worried, DH doesn't have much options with work and I have a crazy two year old. I asked for a sweep as I got induced with my first and I really didn't like it. I can feel now they'll have to meddle again :(

MissPepper8 · 28/02/2020 00:02

@whiskersonkittenss congratulations lovely :), glad it went well for you x

whiskersonkittenss · 28/02/2020 00:50

@MissPepper8 thank you🥰

@ttc19 I had one due to prolapsed discs in my spine and the baby was measuring large. I can't even try too hard to poo sometimes when my sciatica plays up. Baby actually was born 8lb 1 so not large really at all!!
I was terrified of the surgery and all week I've been having breakdowns. It was still very scary when I went into theatre. I was first on the list. The worst bit was my anaesthetist trying to find where to put my spinal block. After this was done I was numb from the boobs down in about 5 mins and baby was born 15 mins later.
The pain is not so bad but I have made sure to ask for my morphine and suppository every time I am able to. Probably a 6/10 on pain.

Currently laying in my hospital bed staring at my fat little lovely baby next to me. I can't believe he's here!!

DaniX91 · 28/02/2020 07:48

Congratulations @whiskersonkittenss such an amazing and unreal feeling just staring into the little box next to u isn't it 😍.
We're hoping to leave hospital today, 15 days after I came in! Daisy will be 1 week old tomorrow and I don't know where the time has gone x

atomcats · 28/02/2020 07:53

@whiskersonkittenss congratulations!!

2ndtimemuma · 28/02/2020 09:00

Is anyone else climbing the walls with boredom waiting to meet their little one? 39 + 5 with no 2 and every night I think tonight will be the night. Still no sign. Have been having braxton Hicks now for 3 weeks. Went into hospital a week ago as I’m strep b positive this time so they wanted me in early but false alarm.

I just desperately want to meet my little girl and know everything is ok. Had Accupuncture yesterday and now just waiting for her.

Anyone else similar? X

fibeee · 28/02/2020 09:10

@whiskersonkittenss congratulations!

@2ndtimemuma hopefully things start happening for you soon! Ive only just turned 37 weeks so am happy for baby to stay in cooking for a couple of weeks yet! Still don’t feel as prepared as I’d like Confused

MiniJMac · 28/02/2020 10:28

Yay huge congratulations @whiskersonkittenss Glad all is well and little man is well. Hope the staff are taking good care of you?

Had my 36 week check. They are sure baby is head down but I've got a reassurance scan on the 10th March. Baby is now measuring off the scale (38cms) but they aren't concerned yet as husband and I are quite tall and big babies run in the family.

maria94 · 28/02/2020 12:17

@2ndtimemuma I know how you feel! I'm 39+4 and still waiting... was convinced I was having contractions last night. I was getting tightening with really bad lower back pain and period like cramps, coming every 20 mins. They've now completely stopped argh! Comon!!

AnxiousandExcited · 28/02/2020 15:21

Crazy back pain since last night but no contractions... think baby has moved further down. Haven't felt like eating anything today either, stomach all upside down. Oh well. Will just keep waiting..
@whiskersonkittenss well done congratulations - yours is the 3rd March Baby on the thread, see if anyone else doesn't get to March!

2ndtimemuma · 28/02/2020 18:23

Huge congratulations @whiskersonkittenss

Let’s hope we have a few more arrivals soon. Xx

Jesskir89 · 28/02/2020 21:29

@whiskersonkittenss congratulations :) what was his weight? Do you have a name yet? @daniX91 are you home now? @2ndtimemuma I also have groub b strep but I'm 37 week tomorrow. Finished work today thank god!

2ndtimemuma · 28/02/2020 21:33

Hi @jesskir89

Have they given you any particular instructions? All I’ve been told is that I need to go to the hospital as soon as my waters break or when my contractions are regular.

I had a false alarm 10days who and they gave me a drip for it but contractions stopped so i was sent home.

It would be interesting to know what you have been told. X

barnyb · 28/02/2020 21:35

@whiskersonkittenss wow congratulations!!!!!!
I'm very jealous of you !! Well done and you must be feeling so wonderful!
