@barnyb woo sounds promising!! Keep us updated! X

Jesskir89 · 15/02/2020 22:22

@barnyb any update? X

fibeee · 15/02/2020 22:32

@barnyb haven’t experienced labour before so can’t really comment. But best of luck to you and let us know how things go!

@Greenview8 feeling a good bit better today thank you. I think I was just thoroughly burnt out yesterday. My bump is also very active in the evenings so perhaps both our babies are nocturnal 😂

MissPepper8 · 15/02/2020 23:55

@barnyb Ooh how many weeks are you now? Have you got a ball? If you do try use it to try get things going. I never got to that stage but ball helped me dilate after induction.

I envy you, I've had enough now lol and spent my evening assembling baby furniture. Good luck :) x

Jesskir89 · 16/02/2020 09:00

Hoping no news is good news @barnyb?

barnyb · 16/02/2020 09:33

Hi guys!
All is good. I stopped bleeding and all I had was aches and pains lower back and belly in the night. Hospital didn’t want to see me unless anything revved up. But nothing has! I’m currently making a healthy breakfast and going to get back on my ball after ! I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and husband and I are both so ready to get this over with lol! I hope something happens! You wait.... il be here this time next Sunday still waiting......... 🤯

AnxiousandExcited · 16/02/2020 13:01

@maria94 @MissPepper8 I've also had the discharge, for several weeks actually - clumps of milky white or clear. But it's not what the mucus plug looks like eventually - that will be bloody. When that came out the last two times I went into labour within a day.
Still feeling horrid - not in as much pain but feeling very hormonal. Don't think it's going to be this week yet though, I haven't even packed my hospital bag yet and new buggy is only arriving later in the week... Before my other's i got a 'feeling' that things were happening, and now I don't feel like it will be so soon. But I'm terribly hormonal today and in a really bad mood!

DaniX91 · 16/02/2020 17:12

Baby is coming on Friday! They said they'll keep her in there til I'm 37 weeks then she can come out and meet us 😍. It's going to be induction which they're more keen on or planned caesarean which I'm more keen on. I don't want to go through an induction for it to possibly take ages then end up with interventions then an emergency section anyway. Counting down the days, it is soooo boring in here. Not even a tv to watch!x

atomcats · 16/02/2020 17:35

@DaniX91 that’s such good news that they are able to keep in her in until she’s ready! How exciting! I’m sorry that their views and yours don’t match up, I hope that they will as the time gets closer.

maria94 · 16/02/2020 17:36

@barnyb Oh how annoying, sounded like it was time for you! Back to the boring waiting game!! How have things been today? Hope you don't have to wait too much longer. X

@DaniX91 how exciting for you! Hope it all goes well. Your little one will be here before you know it. How are you feeling in yourself? X

Has anyone else experienced pressure pains in there upper back/chest that go into their neck/head?... it's really weird. Only lasts 30 seconds but it's quite intense. I assume it where my ribcage etc is very squished. I've not heard of anything like it before!

barnyb · 16/02/2020 17:53

@maria94 oh my goodness it’s soooo frustrating!
I had a slight hope last night.
Midwife on the phone said it sounds like could be early labour as the blood is a sign the cervix is getting ready. But I mean that could be anytime!
today I’ve rested and drank raspberry leaf tea and did my ball exercises. All iv noticed is lower aches and also my tummy feels like I’m about to come on my period. not painful but that heavy feeling. also iv completely gone off my food again like I did in the first few months. Everything sounds disgusting and I can’t cope with the food smells.
we are 38 weeks tomorrow I can’t believe it !! How are you feeling ??? What’s your current situation xxx

Jesskir89 · 16/02/2020 18:01

@barnyb hope your girl arrives soon have you picked a name yet? @daniX91 how exciting! Not long to go x

maria94 · 16/02/2020 18:04

@barnyb that all sounds so promising, I really hope it turns into the real thing soon! I hate all the false hope.. I just want it to happen! That's crazy that we are on the last 2 weeks of the countdown, can't quite believe it. I've been feeling ok, been having similar period like pains/very uncomfortable Braxton hicks but no signs of anything happening soon. I've also been off my food today! Haven't wanted to eat a thing. At least things seem to be moving in the right direction.. can't be much longer X x

MissPepper8 · 17/02/2020 10:46

@AnxiousandExcited I haven't had anything too different, I've noticed an increase though. I don't know what to expect tbh, I've heared from my sister and friends but this is new to me second time round.

I'm a bit moody too lol.. More sensitive and crabby lol.. Husbands annoying me with stupid things right now. I think Ive just had enough.

@DaniX91 That's fab news! Sorry about you staying in though. I absolutely hate hospital, Id rather have a home birth and avoid it. I spent a year in hospital as a child and I just can't wait to leave every time I'm there.

DaniX91 · 17/02/2020 12:19

Thanks everyone ☺️. Been told this morning that I'm not getting a caesarean, so I had an emotional breakdown! Think they felt sorry for me cos they've let me out on day release haha gotta be back on the ward by 7 tonight. Induction will definitely be happening on Friday! X

MissPepper8 · 17/02/2020 13:08

@DaniX91 Ah I'm sorry they wouldn't give you a section, it's a bit tiring towards the end but keep going and rest lots you'll need it xx

I had a growth scan today and baby has dropped on my growth chart. I can't make out this chart for love nor money (I was on 50th curve, now it looks like I'm half way above 10th). I worked out how much baby is.

Anyone else have this? I have to go back next week. I'm really stressed now.

AnxiousandExcited · 17/02/2020 13:17

@MissPepper8 hope everything is ok!
had a midwife app this morning, heartbeat and movement are fine but my bump apparently hasn't grown since 34 weeks (now 37) - not sure I believe that since I feel like I've grown! - but now I have a growth scan booked for tomorrow at 12, hoping it will all be ok.

MissPepper8 · 17/02/2020 15:40

@AnxiousandExcited This is the same as me x. I haven't been measured as I've had scans instead. So I'm getting rescanned in two weeks as they want to see growth and I've got a fetal monitor Friday. I'm stressed tbh, i got told same appointment I might have a wee infection and handed iron tabs. I'm trying my best to look after myself so it's worrying.

Fx you just have a small bump, my bump hasn't grown much with either pregnancy. Hope it will be ok for you x

Jesskir89 · 17/02/2020 16:59

@anxiousandexcited good luck for tomorrow's scan. @misspepper8 I had dropped last week from 80th to 55th and have to go back next week. I cried myself to sleep last night in agony with my back. Woke up every time I moved in my sleep screaming with pain :(

barnyb · 18/02/2020 09:25

@Jesskir89 sorry you've got bad back!
Iv also got bad back and at night my legs and hips are in agony!! I literally don't know what to do!y husband massages them every night before bed and iv been eating magnesium rich foods for months and it doesn't help at all! Last night I woke up at 3am and didn't get back to sleep until just before 6! I was up and down walking around stretching! This is happening most nights now. It's bloody awful! COME ON BABY!!!! 🤯🤯🤯

Jesskir89 · 18/02/2020 12:25

@barnyb what a nightmare! At least you're getting back rubs lol. Just to top it off 8 burnt myself last night on my belly.... Its better this morning thankfully

barnyb · 18/02/2020 12:53

@Jesskir89 oh my goodness how did you do that!!!! Looks really sore!

fibeee · 18/02/2020 13:29

@Jesskir89 that looks really sore. I spilled boiling water straight from the kettle down my chest at the beginning of my pregnancy and remember the agony! Have you spoken to the GP? I got some fucidin cream when I had my accident which was really good.

MissPepper8 · 18/02/2020 14:34

@Jesskir89 omg your tummy! Plaster it in savlon and maybe call your gp for cream? You could see a pharmacist too for stuff to soothe it. That's really nasty. Your skin will still be stretching too :(. Ah I'm so sorry hun, bad back too :(. If its back pain, it might be babies head coming down? This babies head keeps popping in and out my pelvis so I get occasional pains.

It looks like I was just tiny bit below 50th and now it's dropped to above 10th. Babies grown half a pound in 3 weeks if that's right. I won't lie I've been upset i had family members telling me to eat more all night and I have been eating (i had hyperemesis) very well I thought since the past 3 weeks I've had 2/3 vomiting episodes. I feel like it's my fault now :(.

Jesskir89 · 18/02/2020 16:55

Thanks ladies as it had gone down today and not as sore I didn't go to gp someone at work gave me burnaid cream and I've been using aloe Vera. I panicked a pit baby but triage said he will be OK. @misspepper8 I bet that hurt your chest! You can only eat what you can eat just try and keep hydrated. Less than 2 weeks til your scan hopefully baby will grow more x
