@jollybobs89 I’ve used the nhs and mumsnet lists (or at least, I’ve bought what it says I need, I’m yet to pack anything!). I have scrapped the shampoo but will bring some dry shampoo as I feel that will be more useful.

@shellby28 welcome! I’m also one of the later March ones (23rd). Although the midwife for our antenatal class helpfully pointed out that sometimes the ones due last arrive first so who knows! And if not, we get to hear the handy tips from those who have just been through it Grin

MiniJMac · 10/02/2020 08:21

@shellby28 we have the same due date of 28th March!!!! Is this your first baby? Welcome :)

I'm going to pack my hospital bag this week. Husbands on a stagg do when I'm 36 weeks so want to be prepared incase it all happens when hes abroad. I've been having bad dreams about it happening when hes away and what on earth I'd do with my 4yo son as we live away from all our family. Got me thinking, what do people actually do in this situation, do they allow the other child in the birthing suite?

whiskersonkittenss · 10/02/2020 08:30

@MiniJMac phone your mat ward and ask as each trust is different. I would probably have a look around for a child minder who could collect him and keep overnight if possible though just incase.

I have 2 weeks 3 days left until my planned section. I feel like I won't last that long because he's so big and I'm really uncomfortable all the time. I have my last (I hope) growth scan today.

shellby28 · 10/02/2020 09:52

@Jesskir89 not long to go now! Pregnancy has been generally ok, had a little pre-labour scare last week but all was ok and back to feeling fine now. How is yours going?

@atomcats I wouldn't mind her arriving a week or so early! I have a feeling the next 7 weeks are going to go really slowly.

@MiniJMac Due date buddies! Yes this is my first, hospital bag is almost done - I keep packing and unpacking! I'm sure I've packed way too much and now we're discussing having a home birth so might not even need one at all!!!

fibeee · 10/02/2020 10:20

Last week at work! Can't remember the last time I felt this grim on a Monday morning. Probably back in the first trimester!

Anyone else finishing up this week?

LittlePeanut33 · 10/02/2020 10:44

Three more weeks left in work for me... unless baby decides to make an appearance earlier! hopefully they don’t drag in I am definitely feeling the tiredness now!

atomcats · 10/02/2020 15:14

I had my 34 week scan to check that my placenta had moved (it was found to be “low lying” at 20 weeks). Luckily it’s now out of the way so no c-section which I am super relieved about.

Seeing the baby that size was odd, it was really hard to pick out what was what! She also checked on the growth and everything is on track which I’m even more relieved about. I’ve gained a total of 4lbs and have had so many comments about how small my bump is that despite measuring well at the midwife appointments I’ve still been worrying something is wrong. But all is well and baby is head down so that’s good.

Now just need to get on with washing everything and getting a bag packed!!!

fibeee · 10/02/2020 15:25

That's great news @atomcats about the placenta.

Try not to worry about people's comments. Everyone is so different and carries their weight and babies differently. I feel like I am morphing into a small planet and have been asked if I am having twins but my baby is also measuring normal in the growth charts!

barnyb · 10/02/2020 22:01

Hello ladies. Iv not been on for a little while. Just popping on to see how your all doing??
I'm 37 weeks today and baby is moving around so much my belly is doing some extremely crazy shapes. I keep getting huge lightening crotch and pains in lower back at the same time.
I'm really hoping she comes soon. It's getting uncomfortable 😣

Xxx

barnyb · 10/02/2020 22:05

Also I wonder who is going to have their baby first !!! 😲
It's only a matter of time before we all start popping eeeeeeekkkkkk!!!! It's been a long journey

Jesskir89 · 10/02/2020 22:06

@shellby28 what happened with your scare? Glad you're OK. Mine has been OK except having group b strep and GD lol. @barnyb nice to hear from you! Wow 37 weeks!!! I'm only 34 plus 2 and feel drained lol. She will be here soon bless her :) just think absolute max is 5 weeks but you won't get to that I'm sure x

maria94 · 10/02/2020 22:30

@barnyb glad it's not just me feeling mega uncomfortable now😫 my lower back has also been aching constantly and keep getting pains around my groin area. Let's hope our little ones come soon! 3 weeks to go!! X

jollybobs89 · 11/02/2020 08:48

25th March due date for me this will be my second feel sick at what's to come 🤣

However can't remember ever feeling this uncomfortable! Slept sat up last night zero energy and feeling dead agitated tell me I'm not the only one haha.

Really hope he makes an early appearance but I doubt I'll be that lucky haha

singme · 11/02/2020 08:49

Sorry to hear about everyone feeling so uncomfortable. I must have woken up hourly last night. So tired today Sad and feeling quite sick! Anyone else struggling with work? I’m only 33+2 but did a long weekend of 13 hour shifts on the ward and I’m shattered! Two weeks to go!

jollybobs89 · 11/02/2020 09:09

Struggling with work myself finish in just under 3 weeks! Every credit to you doing a 12 hour shift I couldn't do that!!! @singme

Days off consist of having a toddler to run round after so it's easier being at work haha x

fibeee · 11/02/2020 09:10

Yes I’m struggling with work. My job is mentally taxing and I notice myself making mistakes if I’m not well rested. I think I got 2 hours sleep last night in total so today is going to be fun!

MissPepper8 · 11/02/2020 10:22

@barnyb @NailQueen9 has had her little boy at 33 weeks ( I think?). We need to look out for baby number two now :)

Gosh 37 weeks too, you're really close, I'm 35 tomorrow. Fx you pop soon Ive totally had enough lol.. x

NailQueen9 · 11/02/2020 10:25

@MissPepper8 yes that's right 33+6 and there's another little one in special care that was due around the same time as me born at 33+2!

Bubba is still in special care unit. Hate leaving him there when I leave the hospital! But I know it's the best place for him.

MissPepper8 · 11/02/2020 10:37

I keep getting bump comments, bump is small and it's annoying me. Like random people who ask, I'm probably over sensitive at this point I think, but not the best idea to comment on how a pregnant woman looks 😂.

Anyone getting bladder pain? Geez it's like cystitis sting when you go but I've been walking round tesco ect and suddenly crippled with stingy pain and the need to wee, I'm seriously at the end of being pregnant now 😂

atomcats · 11/02/2020 10:38

@NailQueen9 how are you both getting on?

I’m also in the struggling with work camp. Mainly due to sleeping badly and then lacking energy / motivation etc. I’m lucky that I can work from home if needed, but I would really like to feel like I can just crack on and get on with things!

MissPepper8 · 11/02/2020 10:41

@NailQueen9 Ah :( I hope you're both doing well x When will they let him home? Fingers crossed for you, you all can be together soon Flowers xxx

barnyb · 11/02/2020 11:26

@maria94 omg it’s all getting too much now isn’t it! I think I will have a mental breakdown if I have to go until 40+ 😱😱😱😱
@MissPepper8 oh my goodness I completely missed that! Oh wow I had no idea haha !! was baby ok??? Xxxx

atomcats · 11/02/2020 12:00

@MissPepper8 ugh I am with you with the small bump comments. I feel like they’ve ramped up now with people I work with feeling the need to comment on how much I’m showing, and then being shocked when I say I’m due next month... sigh. Although talking to a colleague who is due around the same time she pointed out that comments about how big you are (which apparently are often followed up with comments about multiples!!) aren’t nice either so swings and roundabouts probably. Why people feel the need to say anything is beyond me. Maybe I’m just too British 😂

maria94 · 11/02/2020 12:14

@barnyb same I'm praying I don't go over! Are you going to try any of those tricks to help induce labour at home? If so when is it safe to do so?! I know baby is classed as 'full term' now but it still feels too early! I'm half thinking she'll come when she's ready but also I'm fed up now get her out!! 😅 Xx

barnyb · 11/02/2020 13:28

@maria94 yes I’m trying all the tricks now! Apparently the tricks only work if baby is actually ready to come. So basically you can try everything possible and baby still won’t come unless they are ready! So don’t worry about that. Iv eaten a whole pineapple in the last 24 hours lol. I heard that’s good. Iv been on the ball every day. Iv been walking. Iv been on hands and knees cleaning. And I tried sex ! it was bloody awkward and I don’t think I will be doing that one again! ! 😑 🤭 😅
