Wow congratulations @NailQueen9 what a surprise! Hope you and the little man are okay.

Welcome @cucumbercookie you're due date is just after mine :)

@maria94 Sounds gross but next time you get it, keep some and pop it in a bag as the midwifes may ask to see it. They will confirm if it's a plug or not, that's what I was asked to do when it happened to me.

jollybobs89 · 06/02/2020 22:50

Wow 33 weeks Congratulations im nearly 34 and not even packed my bag!!! Need to get cracking!

I am so uncomfortable cannot cope I feel like there's no more room inside my belly so hard and tight is anyone else's like this?!

fibeee · 06/02/2020 23:27

@jollybobs89 can relate to feeling uncomfortable. What I wouldn’t give for a night’s sleep lying flat on my back instead of on my side with head raised 45 degrees!

Has anyone else felt their baby hiccup? A few girls in my hypnobirthing class tonight mentioned that their babies are hiccuping all the time and I don’t think I’ve felt mine do it even once.

DaniX91 · 07/02/2020 12:24

@fibeee I feel mine hiccuping loads, sometimes 3/4 times a day. I don't think it's anything to worry about if u haven't felt it though x

Greenview8 · 07/02/2020 21:17

@fibeee I have felt this one hiccup lots but didn’t feel my first hiccup at all I think it just how they are positioned nothing to worry about I am sure x

MissPepper8 · 07/02/2020 22:20

@fibeee It may be position? This one and DS hiccuped loads past 30 weeks. I can get this one doing it 3 times a day, very low feeling in my groin. Particularly annoying if I'm trying to sleep :/.

Funny aswell, when DS was born he was a very hiccupy baby with reflux. Don't know if it relates x

Jesskir89 · 07/02/2020 23:38

Anyone else suffering with insomnia? I finish work 3 weeks today and don't know how I'll manage til then....

sadtoday21 · 07/02/2020 23:51

@fibeee I'm not sure I have felt the hiccuping either - what does it feel like?

@Jesskir90 when are you going on mat leave - at how many weeks? I'm having major insomnia too!

fibeee · 08/02/2020 00:35

@Jesskir89 I haven’t had a proper nights sleep in what feels like months. I’m awake till at least 1 most nights and then a zombie all day.

@sadtoday21 not really sure what hiccuping is supposed to feel like. Maybe one of the other MTB can let us know!

atomcats · 08/02/2020 01:22

I was really disappointed to learn that the tiny rhythmic taps I sometimes feel are hiccups. I was expecting like big jerky movements that would make my belly shake based on how other people talked about / complained about them! But from what I can gather (for me at least) it’s tiny little taps, not dissimilar to first movements, at a really consistent rate. I only really notice them if I’m sitting quietly as they are so subtle.

MissPepper8 · 08/02/2020 01:27

@Jesskir89 It's awful especially when you have to work, I feel for you x. I haven't had a decent sleep for a while. I can't seem to switch off (1am and here I am), Im shattered and running on low constantly.

@sadtoday21 @fibeee It's a bit like a rhythmic popping sensation? It lasts about 5 to 10 mins. Ive got it now but I'm lying down absolutely still and I can just about feel it. I had a scan and baby had them but I didn't notice until I was still lying down either x

whiskersonkittenss · 08/02/2020 06:02

I've not slept well for about 6 months. I usually can't sleep until 6am. So glad I'm on mat leave now.

MockingJay27 · 08/02/2020 08:52

@Jesskir89 yes insomnia is terrible. I can't sleep for more than an hour and a half at a time. And still have 2 weeks in work.

maria94 · 08/02/2020 09:16

@Jesskir89 I seem to wake up every single hour at the moment. So frustrating. Thankfully I've finished work now or I'm not sure how I'd cope. Could you go on mat leave a bit earlier? X

sadtoday21 · 08/02/2020 09:29

@atomcats @MissPepper8 that’s really helpful thanks! I’ve had times where it’s soft nonstop rhythmic movement for about 5 or ten minutes, not like normal kicks. Does that sound like hiccups?

Is anyone else starting to feel kicks much lower down? Does this mean baby is in breach? I’m 35 +2 today and feel movement has changed slightly where the kicks are lower and softer. Anyone else? Hospital bag finally all packed as of yesterday.

When did you all go on mat leave?

Jesskir89 · 08/02/2020 09:30

@sadtoday21 I'll finish the day before my 37 week point. Glad it's not just me ladies but now I feel for us all lol its the getting up 3 or 4 times for a wee too, then not getting comfy I'm probably getting 4 hours a night
... @mockingjay27 how far along are you when you finish? @maria94 dh told me to finish early but I still want to save at least another 400 for my mat leave so I'm trying to push myself. I'm 34 weeks today, constantly in agony too as I've had a sore groin for weeks. Sorry for the vent I needed it lol xx

MockingJay27 · 08/02/2020 09:34

@Jesskir89 I'll be 37 weeks when I finish. I'm really want to save as much maternity leave as I can for when she is here. I'll be gutted if I go a week over and I've used a months maternity before baby xx

maria94 · 08/02/2020 09:43

@Jesskir89 at least the end is in sight, hoping it goes nice and quick for you. I finished at 36 weeks! Thankfully the sleepless nights didn't get bad until I was on mat leave so I can catch up throughout the day. At least we will all be nice and prepared for when our babies are here haha! X

MissPepper8 · 08/02/2020 11:34

@sadtoday21 That sounds like hiccups you're feeling then :)

Ive got no idea on positition.. You can belly map, which I try to do (if you Google it'll tell you what to do and feel). When I went for a scan baby was breach and you could feel hard round shape at the top but I think since then i can feel babies bum at top (it's firm but squish or long if it's their back) and when you tap it, the whole of baby moves but if it's head, just the head moves. xx

Jesskir89 · 08/02/2020 19:44

@mockingjay27 same as me there :) @maria94 I can't wait for some day naps lol how far are you now x

maria94 · 08/02/2020 19:59

@Jesskir89 haha I'm enjoying them while I can. I'm 37 weeks on Monday! I'm already on the look out for signs of labour.. think I'm being a bit eager lol!! what about you? X

jollybobs89 · 08/02/2020 22:00

Any help with hospital bag check list? Xx been two years since my last baba and my mind has gone completely blank! Too way to much stuff last time like shampoo etc no one really cares about washing their hair when just given birth 😂

Jesskir89 · 08/02/2020 22:42

@maria94 wow not long now at all! I'm 34 weeks today and was just saying to dh before anything from 3 to 6 weeks now (hospital aren't letting me go over due date) @jollybobs89 I've packed a few baby grows and vests in first size and 0 to 3, nappies, dummies, hats and blankets then toiletries, maternity pads, nipple cream, nighty and pj's, slippers, loads of knickers, towel and coming home outfit.

shellby28 · 09/02/2020 21:38

Hi all, bit late to the party but happy to be joining you all. I'm 33+2, due 28th March so one of the last here! Hope all of you are doing well :)

Jesskir89 · 09/02/2020 22:05

@shellby28 welcome :) you're just 7 days after me. Hows your pregnancy going?
