@sadtoday21 Yes I've had my hours reduced to 8 hours as cant to 10-12 hour shifts sat at a computer. I dont normally do that but being pregnant means I cant do my normal role so have to do admin. Had to see my Dr to get a note though and go through the process with work.

I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and am super uncomfortable. Up and down at night for the toilet and can't get comfy in bed, even with a pillow.
Stupid me over did it today. This nesting lark is constantly on the brain and our bedrooms need moving around to sort through all the baby bits. I decided to dismantle a double bed on my own, now suffering Hmm

Hi all, can I join you again? I was on the first thread then real life ran away with me!

I’m 30 weeks now and it’s coming up so quickly!

Has anyone started NCT yet?

MissPepper8 · 10/01/2020 09:57

Welcome back @shirleyphallus :)

I'm so damn tired, I don't work as Im a stay at home mum with DS but my god I don't know how you ladies do it. I'm shattered, I can't keep up with my 2 year old anymore and need to rest if we spend long afternoons out or even shopping I just want to get home cause I feel sick/dizzy/tired.

And I can't sleep, so last week now I've been up until 3am as I can't get comfy or settle. I've got a pregnancy pillow but I wake up in pain every day with my belly.

Honestly much worse second time round, hands down to ladies who have more than 2 😂

barnyb · 10/01/2020 12:31

Hello all. Just popping on to see how everyone is doing ??
I'm 33 week on Monday and I had a scan yesterday to see if my placenta was in the right place as it was in the way of baby's exit. It has moved and baby is head down ready to rock and roll!
Last night I had some major back pain, leg pain and "lightening crutch"
It's all definitely different now.
Xxxx

MockingJay27 · 10/01/2020 18:09

@ShirleyPhallus I start classes on Tuesday. not sure what to expect

MiniJMac · 10/01/2020 19:02

I haven't signed up to any antenatal classes this time round.
After not feeling much movement in the last 24 hours, I went down for a reassurance check. The midwife team were great. Average BPM was 143 so still non the wiser as to what were having. But little one decided to awaken when the machine was in so I'm really reassured.
Hope everyone is okay.

Jesskir89 · 10/01/2020 20:43

Just found the thread again! They keep bloody moving us lol. My midwife referred me late for classes so only 1 before I'm being induced I can go on! I want to go on mat leave so bad I'm so tired and sore now

MissPepper8 · 10/01/2020 22:26

I haven't signed up, i did want to do hypnobirthing classes but I got a book (Your baby, your birth) which really helped me get over my fears of my little boys birth repeating too. It comes with 2 audio downloads aswell.

Im not sure if I should do it, maybe they could teach me a bit more the book can't (hypnobirthing wise).

MissPepper8 · 11/01/2020 11:34

Has anyone else had period type cramps?

Monday I was under alot of stress and in the evening I had these bad cramps so went to bed. Nothing then until Tuesday afternoon started again, like period cramps x10 going into my lower back and between shoulder blades, making me physically sick so I had paracetamol and a bath.

Nothing until today, not stressed but it's start again and my tummy is tightening with it. It's not braxton hicks is it? I didn't think they were that painful, I noticed a tightening or two today but I was in so much pain tuesday it wasn't something I was concentrating on.

maria94 · 11/01/2020 12:23

@MissPepper8 yes! I'm 32+5 and woke up in the night with them the other night they were so bad. They seemed to of calmed down now but still getting the odd ones here and there. I assume it's just our bodies getting ready 😬

sadtoday21 · 11/01/2020 12:26

@MissPepper8 I don’t want to worry you, but I’ve read that can be a sign of labour. Maybe call your midwife?

MissPepper8 · 11/01/2020 14:12

@maria94 Thank you, makes me feel a bit better, we're they in your back too? I felt like I was wedged between pain. I'd say Monday was just crampy but Tuesday was unbearable.

@sadtoday21 I did think that stress had started it, I had bad news Monday and I'll admit I was very upset and feeling unwell with it. I always have had painful periods but this was another level of pain and it was in my back too is what concerned me.

I feel like a bit of a over worrier ringing :( I have mild pains now if it gets as bad as Tuesday I'll ring.

Jesskir89 · 11/01/2020 17:26

@misspepper8 I agree they're probably braxton hicks but since none of us can be sure I agree with @sadtoday21 to ring maternity triage and get a medical opinion sweet x

MissPepper8 · 11/01/2020 19:49

@Jesskir89 I dunno honestly, I had braxton hicks couple weeks back walking and shopping. They're more like my tummy is instantly hard like a rock, and it's uncomfortable but not painful. This was more painful and in my back too.

I've got consultant Monday so I'll ask to see a mw :), I've got a ache now, could be baby is stuck in awkward position, I feel them super low.

Jesskir89 · 11/01/2020 21:04

@misspepper8 OK I'm sure it will be that but if it gets worse no harm in checking :)

maria94 · 11/01/2020 21:31

@MissPepper8 yeah there were in my back as well but they don't sound like they were quite as bad as yours. Mine were just uncomfortable but I had no tightenings. I have been having Braxton hicks this evening though.. thankfully they're not painful! Definitely keep an eye on them! X

Slightlylessclueless · 12/01/2020 08:36

Hi, I’ve dropped back in after a bit of an absence. Hope everyone is ok.
I am 30 weeks now and it is all sounding more imminent than the last time!
It’s just the insomnia that is doing my head in, adds to the tiredness and there’s no chance to catch up at work!

I had my 28 week midwife appointment and forgot to tell her I had run out of the 1500mg vitamin C and D tablets she’d given last time. Just wondering should I still be taking them, is anyone else still on them?
X

MissPepper8 · 12/01/2020 23:15

@Jesskir89 @maria94 They just stayed quite mild yesterday we were out a while too but never got any worse than what they were monday/Tues. I'm mentioning it tomorrow though x

@maria94 Yeah I can deffo tell the difference, I usually get them if I'm over doing it with walking. I don't mind them so much x

@Slightlylessclueless Welcome back :), I never had them but I stopped taking vits around 20plus weeks as they made me really sick. If you're eating a variety of foods and drinking juices (what I try to do with the juice every day) you should be ok. Or pick up a pack until you see mw again :) x

Jesskir89 · 14/01/2020 06:42

@misspepper8 glad you're OK @slightlylessclueless welcome back. Has anyone else not had braxton hicks? The apps saying it's normal but I've still not had any.... I've got my first NCT class tonight :)

atomcats · 14/01/2020 14:15

@Jesskir89 I think I’ve had them once. It was at Christmas and I was running around cooking and suddenly felt like my bump had shrunk! It was rock solid and felt uncomfortable to stand up straight. I remembered seeing something about dehydration setting it off so took that a sign to sit down with a big drink and it settled down again. Really weird! It’s only happened that one time though 🤷‍♀️

Jesskir89 · 14/01/2020 17:22

@atomcats I've had nothing weird you've not had it since then I wonder if everyone does get them... X

MissPepper8 · 14/01/2020 17:40

@Jesskir89 I didn't have them with first baby but I have them now when I notice my body is under stress, so walking I walk quite quickly and I notice them if I've been walking for hours (Christmas shopping I had a few). Mw I saw yesterday said they can be triggered by being active as its the pressure especially when baby gets bigger.

I had consultant yesterday and they want to sweep me at 38 weeks, no idea if that's normal. I was 40 plus odd with my first. Anyone else been offered an early sweep? I've got scans too, which is far more than i had with my first, 32 and 36 weeks. I'm a bit surprised to be honest as there's no real reason for it. Guess they're being over cautious as I'm vbac.

maria94 · 14/01/2020 18:30

33 weeks & officially want to give up with work. 😫 I have quite an active job and I'm still working 40+ hours a week and it is a struggle! Not helped by having no sleep! This last bit is definitely the hardest!!!

Jesskir89 · 14/01/2020 23:23

@misspepper8 that's good to know :) not sure about the sweep... They want to induce me but that's due to GD. @maria94 it is hard work. My job isn't physical but stressful :(

GingerRogers84 · 15/01/2020 13:01

How is everyone getting on with hospital bags? I've got baby's stuff organised and some of mine but I still need to get some flip flops and a spare nighty from Primark before I feel like I can actually pack.
